Dear friends Its been 9 months since court has ordered nokia to replace with new box.But till now there is no response from nokia.After 45 day I filed EA petition using a advocate again.Consumer forum is postponing the case with 20 days .Every time I have to attend the court spending time and money. Problem is nokia is not even accepting the court notice .There is no reply or acknowledgement from postal department ( notice recieved or not accepting).They are managing the post man also this is what my advocate is telling and he says Nokia do alway like this . And we know know our judicial sysem is totally useless.They cannot do any thing unless it recieves acknowledgement.They cannot take action on nokia or postal department for not returning acknowledgement in time. FRIENDS THIS IS VERY SERIOUR PROBLEM. Despite consumer forums order nokia is not obeying the order.Nokia is not respecting India judicial system.When it cannot respect the people , country and its judicial system, IT HAS NO RIGHT TO DO BUSINESS IN THIS COUNTRY. IF THIS CONTINUES , ALL MNC COMPANIES DO THE SAME WAY.THEN NO BODY BELIEVES IN CONSUMER FORUMS.ALL CONSUMER RIGHTS ARE USLESS. FRIENDS WE NEED TO SOMETHING IN THIS REGARD .PLEASE ADVICE ON THIS.We should not tolerate this anymore Dear friends At last my nokia 6275 case is over. Nokia did not replace the handset because right now they are not manufacturing and no stock with them . But it has given the cheque for Rs 11,750/- but without interest. I planned to sell the handset immediately on rimeb forum in case they replaces with new box .Now straight away I got the amount without selling. But I have original BL 6C battery used only for 6months which I have to sell it now. But over all it is a huge loss for me fighting the case.My total investment is more than nearly Rs.30000/ but I received only Rs.13,750( 11750 + 2000 expenses) My suggestion to the people who want to go to consumer forum 1.Never go to the consumer forum for low value products like less than Rs.10000 or 20k.It will be waste of time and money( your expenses) 2.Take the commitment from the advocate that he will fight the case without you visiting every time( you can visit only if required will be 5-7 times max ) 3.If you have a known advocate ( who is like your friend) you can file for any low value. 4.If you are a business man and travel mostly then go the court only for products value is in lacs. This is my experience in two years fighting in consumer forum.Thought will be other members so sharing. Thank you all for your support Lets be happy consumers.

wow atleast few people are getting to use evdo on handsets btw for 8130/8830/8330 all are evdo capable its showing 1x coz its having 1x prl to get evdo u need evdo prl just find spc of ur device ( google their are lot of tutorials ) use qpst and load evdo prl unlock nam so that it doesnt revert to 1x and u should be getting evdo on ur 8830/830/8130 as well hope that evdo prl works get the evdo prl from attachment here http://www.rimweb.in...me-on-palm-pre/ if still u not getting evdo inspite of this evdo prl then we have to extract one out of 9630 , which will be bit difficult btw while loading this evdo prl on my palm pre i also saw that initially i was getting evdo sign on my pre but no data then i had to force it to 1x and then only data worked so this means only bb devices getting evdo now

OK, so Here's a Step by Step Guide for GENERAL SETTINGS by EPST- First copy the reliance.prl directly to your memory card Then Press Green (Dial) button to enter dialler Press ##778# - you will be able to see EPST Screen now... Press Edit... Enter Unlock code as the 6 digit code you got from BAFMSL... You will enter Main Display Screen and all info will be displayed. Now on this Display Screen edit only 2 fields - Nam Name to Reliance and MSID to your 10 digit MIN number by first selecting then clicking Menu-Edit; Then, Click View Info and then go to NAM Settings. Here you have to edit NAM Name to Reliance, Mobile Directory Number to your 10 digit Reliance Number, Check and confirm that in MSID your 10 digit MIN number is displayed (if not, edit to MIN); MCC to 404, MNC to 00 Then Click View Info again and select CDMA Settings - These should be like as below, otherwise edit them to these figures - A-Sys Primary 283; B-Sys Primary 384; A-Sys Secondary 691; B-Sys Secondary 777; MOB_TERM_FOR_HOM /SID/NID - All should be Enable; Home Page/Home Orig, Roam Orig - all should be EVRC Then Click View Info again and select Home SID/Home NID - Edit the first field i.e. Home SID/NID #1 to 14655 / 65535 Then Click View Info again and select Modem Settings - Slot Cycle Index is 2 (but you can edit it to 1 for faster tower catching, your choice); Preferred Serving Syste / Preferred Mode- both should be Automatic; dont touch anything else... Then Click View Info again and select PRL - Click Update PRL File - Menu - Edit - Browse - It will be able to see and search the reliance.prl on your memory card - select it - Press OK; so your prl is now updated Then Click View Info again and select M.IP Settings - edit MIP_MODE and change iit to Simple IP Only Finally click Menu - OK and then update your settings and phone will reboot... Now say CHEERS... AND START CALLING...
