I have been in this forum for a short while, but recently, some of the forum members were unhappy due to people who 'leech'. Let me start by giving a definition of leechers : they are people who take knowledge from the forum but do not contribute back ! A question comes to my mind... at a point of time, when I was not knowing anything at all (I literally knew nothing), I used the forum to learn. I was helped by a lot of people like (Saddik, Hitesh, Muffadal, Dkaile, Hetal, and others to name a few) knowingly or unknowingly(through their posts). I wanted to contribute a lot back but due to lack of technical knowledge, I felt helpless ! Will I be branded as a leecher ? Another question that comes to my mind is that when we were all kids, going to a school, learning new things in life from our teachers/friends, have we contributed everything back ? If a teacher has 10 students, and some are unfit for learning, should he stop teaching ? How can we know if a newbie is a leecher or just a newbie waiting for the knowledge to get imparted ? My point is that we cannot know who will turn out to be a leecher and who will turn out to be a guru in future. Out of 100s or 100000000s of people, only some turn out to be like Muffadal, Saddik, Hitesh, Hetal, Dkaile, etc. But how can we know which one will turn out to be like whom ? People who have achieved a lot are few aren't they ? My whole point of writing this post is to request : Mods/Gurus : Please don't get disappointed by some people and continue being considerate to newbies. Afterall, they form an integral part of the forum as Gurus don't need the forum for knowledge ! It is the newbies who eventually have to learn and continue the forum and pass on the knowledge to other newbies.You might only find 1 in a thousand, but don't loose your chances of finding that 1. Newbies : Please try and contribute in whatever way you can. Afterall, sharing & caring will make it a better world for everyone ! This is just a thought that has come to my mind. Hope it is taken in a good gesture.

NO they are people who take knowledge - dont give back and mint cash more over ask same thing again to many experienced members / mods - do not take pain to search the forum - Silently walk off. No u wanted to contribute - that changes thing if you dont know in beginning u can at least appreciate efforts and be a part of it - i would like to quote example of Parin - watch him Grow there is always a question - WIll i get BIS in BB and how to activate in TATA - are both are already answered 10k times at least search n look kids who know they are left behind should work hard and read more books and understand fast as there is always a exam in year end Time teaches...... believe me all members (wont say gurus or mods) will get disappointed when they see no effort from newbee to learn PS: these are my opinion ///// @gaurangbhartia i appreciate your effort to com forward

what restrictive policies u talking about ?? the support u get from sellers here is unmatched people will go and pay 40000rs for official handsets with warranty , do u ever go and ask the compnay when u have doubts ?? do they answer your querries ?? so they troubleshoot you when u in trouble ??? no they dont u get cheap sets from here at half the price , plus support at each and every step in mins of asking , still u say its problem

most people are getting it wrong here None of operators , be it Reliance , MTS , TATA , has started giving evdo officially to any end user on any imported handsets its just that some handsets have got it , which are gonna be sold here This is different from what we are talking here , so dont say that MTS is giving evdo officially so other operators also should start .Some people over here already have and can get evdo even on Reliance on imported sets using their "contacts" , but thats a different case. Right now none of cdma operators have a policy to give evdo on handsets obtained from other source , unless u have contacts at higher level And thats understood also given the vulnerability of evdo cloning in simple ip , they have to come up with some security levels , otherwise if they start distributing evdo to masses then cloning of evdo will be 10000.......times more than that on 1X This is one of reason why they chose to give evdo only through OMH sim channel which is very secure to cloning . Understand the realm of how things work and then discuss , dont speculate on half information

Dr sir.. Even I am also having 10 corporate connections with me and I am 4% of the total value of my town for them(by revenue/billValue).. But still they refused to program my number in Verizon BB8830.. Yes, I have threatened them to close all my connections too.. But those lazy, non-technical, non-customer-centric, non-performing, Tata guys gave me lame excuses and even didn't care about my threatening.. Later Hitesh ji and Sumit bhai helped in programming my number in foreign handset.. Yes, it took me FULL FOUR months of fight and struggle to use the BB8830 for Tata.. Now I am the first one and to be precuse, the ONLY ONE in my town Sivakasi, who use foreign handset for TataIndicom.. As Hetal sir rightly said, NOT WORTH THE EFFORTS, wrt TATA INDICOM... Tata should first accept the very fact that, "Handset sales IS NOT A REVENUE GENERATING AREA.. Customers dont want the RIDICULOUSLY low priced and RIDICULOUSLY HIGH priced handsets, sold by them" They should accept foreign handsets readily, as it will help them in growth of base(volumes).. Growth in base is much more important than earning some tens_of_1000s from OVER-PRICED outdated handsets sold to customer, who bought it un-willingly as there is NO OTHER SIMPLE WAY/choice for him to get a decent feature-rich handset.. With MNP around the corner, I am sure my beloved TataIndicom (they have best of tariffs, data speed is good, new dealers are very good) will suffer due to these very same HANDSET issues... The second issue is the speed at which they are increasing Photon+ coverage, especially in circle where their GSM wing missed the 3G auction..
