1 pointAs recently I wanted to purchase a MicroSD card for my phone, I came thru this link. Thought I might share with you all... Identifying the speeds of SD cards is confusing. The card to the left is marked Class 4, as indicated by the number 4 with a big ‘C’ around it. Until today, ‘Class 4′ meant nothing. It was one more element to confuse with all the other statements of speed, like Mbit/s and MBytes/s and 133x. The table below shows the actual speed of different Classes of cards. SDHC Speed Class Rating Class 2: 16 Mbit/s (2 MByte/s) Class 4: 32 Mbit/s (4 MByte/s) Class 6: 48 Mbit/s (6 MByte/s) Class 10: 80 Mbit/s (10 MByte/s) Note these are straight conversions: 32 Mbit/s = 4 MByte/s (much like measuring temperature: 32F = 0C) Since the Canon T2i/550D records 5.5MBytes/s, a Class 6MB/s card is required, as recommended by Canon in the manual. However, card speeds are confused by all kinds of crazy nonsense. I accidentally bought a Class 4 card for the Canon T2i/550D which incidentally, works perfectly well after a low level format by the camera. (It didn’t work at all before a low level format.) It’s a SanDisk Class 4. It says 15MB/s on it. WTF? If it were 15MB – according to the table above – it would be Class 15. If there was a typo, ie. 15Mb/s was meant instead of 15MB/s, then it would be Class 2. No matter how you look at it, the card has 2 wildly contradictory speeds written on it. Extensive Googling eventually spits up a plausible explanation: when it says Class 6, it means the CERTIFIED MINIMUM speed is 6MB per second. It is certified by the SD Association. Any other mention of Mb/s or MB/s or 133x on cards are manufacturer’s claims. We can practically ignore them. So my SanDisk card pictured above is certified Class 4 – it has a certified minimum speed of 4MB/s, and an uncertified speed of 15MB/s. Sensible course of action: Buy based on the Class number. Treat any other speed related information as part of the brand. Refer to speed by class number. :SOURCE:

1 pointBasic problem you face is that you are never sure what exactly you want in a "Handset"? Do you want it to make you a cup of coffee, buy cheaper petrol or be your "girl friend"? OR Do You want Isaac Newton's Brain, Marilyn Monroe's Beauty, Ferrari's Speed, Toyota's Reliability at a Chinese Price ? Unfortunately both the above ain't gonna happen anytime soon.. You have already used Samsung Epic in CDMA, iPhone 4 in GSM and now looking for a 15K Budget phone for you in GSM.. Do you seriously think any Desire/Defy are ever going to satisfy you? I don't think so.. It will be a futile exercise and you will be here again in less than a month.. An alternative course of action for you.. Instead of buying a 15K handset now, buy any good handset below 10K or better buy the cheapest one for the moment.. Use it for approx 2 Month... In July, HTC EVO 3D GSM Version is coming... Buy it then.. That will satisfy the urge for something "New/Best/Perfect" for quite a long period..

1 pointWhile a call is on, tap on 'Add Call' button which allows Call Conferencing. This will put the current call on hold and will bring the initial dialling screen which has 'Call Log' tab. From that tab you can use the desired number. If you do not want to use any number from the call log to make conference call, you will need to return your original call to release the hold.

1 pointThanks, Mean while I am googling and find this below 1. Open the MS Excel Worksheet. 2. Write the number in the cell before you want to add zero. 3. Right click the mouse in the cell, select Format Cells… option. Format Cells window will be displayed. 4. Select the Numbers tab from the window then click Custom option from the leftCategory: section. 5. Select 0 option from the Type section. 6. Type the no. of zeroes as many as your number contains digit. For example, your number is 12345, so now you need to enter five zeros after the selected 0 in the type section i.e. 000000. 7. Click OK. The number of zeros entered by you will be converted to digits and the result would be 012345.

1 pointLOL i had the same problem, and got it solved today. Dont worry. Its not a big problem. Do the following.. Go to any web world near your place. Tell them that your phone is acting funny. No calls or SMS. Show them that when you dial *228, it says "phone is already been activated" but you cant make or receive calls. They will file a complain, give them your alternate mobile number. After few hours you will receive a call from network department in Mubai. They will ask you to dial *228, and Voila... your phone will be up and running. Gud luck. PS: After getting your voice/sms on. Please let me know how you gonna solve your Data part coz i cant PS: After activating your phone calls, take a backup of your NAM1 settings using CDMA Workshop. Guide to which is posted by Harishmahesh http://www.rimweb.in/forums/topic/29968-guide-for-radio-reprogramming-eb13-radio-reset-solution/
