2 pointsSpice has higher 4200 mAh battery compared to Reliance 3400mAH, Android 2.2 instead of Android 2.3 on Reliance and unlocked to use any SIM compared to locked in Reliance. All other hardware specs are very similar and build quality will be similar too. It all boils down to your usage pattern really to decide which one to go for. If you are going to use heavy on the go 3G data, go for Reliance as bundled long term plans are attractive whereas if you are going to use on the go 3G data ocassionally in small MB's, go for Spice. BTW it is not mandatory to subscribe to advance data plans from Reliance. I was told by a Web World Head that you can also use either an existing Reliance GSM Sim/Buy a new one and subscribe to any of their 3G or GPRS plans. Only condition is that on an existing SIM, the discount of advance data rental is less in terms of lower download limit. @manujgupta It's not like beating Defy but Sony Ericsson Xperia Mini Pro SK17i at Rs 14,199 after icicilb discount code + 8GB Card >> http://www.letsbuy.c...ini-pro-p-20964 is another very viable option compared to Defy if you are considering it for your wife as you mentioned earlier. 1 point<< This service is not active anymore, so requests will NOT be accepted now. Please check: >> Ok guys... Now we are available here on RIMweb.in to provide the EVDO activation to Aam Admi who are unable to get it through the Reliance Contact Centre and/or Reliance Outlets. Following are the rules and regulations:- 1. EVDO Activation Request will be processed only for RIMweb.in Registered members having more than 10 posts. 2. Members need to send an email from the email address registered with your RIMweb.in profile with the following details to: evdo@rimweb.com or evdo@rimweb.in (please send to either one only and not both!!) RIMweb.in member username (this is the forum registration member profile username so that we can check your post count and NOT your full name) MDN - 10 Digit Number RSN - RSN Number of the handset/OMH Sim Card Handset - with model # Alternate Contact Number - Any Alternate Mobile Number to which a confirmatory call shall come from Mumbai Reliance Headquarters for EVDO Confirmation. 3. After sending the email the member will receive a confirmation email within the next 7 days. Members cannot make any irate demands for the activation of EVDO. We shall pick up the numbers once in a week for activation and the member should understand that it may take upto 10 days; though we will be trying to activate in 2-3 working days normally. 4. This activation procedure is meant for members who have purchased an EVDO handset along with OMH Sim Card (like Samsumg Galaxy POP, Corby, SCH 369, SCH 239, LG 510 Cookie, LG 235 etc.) from Reliance for which the EVDO parameters are already registered in OMH Sim Card with Reliance. The number/connection of the member should be on either an OMH SIM Card or a Non Sim handset which is having EVDO Facility and whose EVDO Parameters are also registered with Reliance. 5. An SMS will arrive on the member's handset regarding a request being registered at a Reliance Outlet and asking for overall experience. Member needs to either reply with "YES" or leave it. Please DO NOT reply with "NO". If we get a "NO" SMS from any member, then this project for EVDO Activation shall be closed immediately. And after getting EVDO Activated, Memeber may confirm us by posting here in this thread. Regards Amit Jain -------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Please Read This: How is EVDO activated on Reliance CDMA? There are two steps for EVDO Activation First, the parameters of EVDO should be registered for the handset in Reliance Server. In case of OMH SIM Card and Official Reliance BlackBerry having EVDO (BlackBerry 9630, 9650, 9230, Style etc.) and Official Reliance Non SIM EVDO Handsets (Like - Samsung Atlas, Coolpad N900), the parameters are already registered with Reliance. And in case of Imported handsets, you need to check whether your EVDO parameters are registered with Reliance or not. We are NOT here for REGISTERING THE EVDO PARAMATERS of imported handsets. Second step is after your EVDO Paramters are available in Reliance Server, EVDO won't start automatically. We have to submit request for EVDO; WE ARE HERE DOING THIS WORK ONLY in this thread. We have seen many members asking for help to do this as Customer Care is clueless about it and that is why we are helping here. Additional Notes: * Making EVDO work on imported handset requires programming the handset with necessary HSD PRL's, HSD username and password in addition to the handset parameters being registered in Reliance Servers. That is outside the scope of this initiative. You may contact your handset seller for necessary assistance to register EVDO parameters at Reliance and configure in your handset if your handset's MEID/ESN is registered with Reliance. * We can activate EVDO on BlackBerry handsets only if you have active BIS Service (CDMA) on the handset. In Case of BlackBerry handsets, member will not get any Service Request SMS. We will get EVDO activated on BlackBerry handsets directly from AAA Phongen Team. * To configure handset like Samsung Galaxy POP CDMA: Go to Setting > Wireless > Mobile Network > APN > Add new APN > Username = MDN (10 digit number) Password = MDN (10 digit number) Homepage – www.google.com Save it and then select it as default. You can use now as per your NetConnect Traiff plan You can change NetConnect plans by calling: 180030005555 All data plans available for Reliance Mobile CDMA can be found in this topic plan details.doc plan details_smaller_file.pdf

1 point@amitnsonu Very Surprising!! My wife is using the same printer since many months and must have printed more than 2000+ pages. Hasn't faced any of the issue mentioned. 1. No issue faced till 50+ pages in tray for multiple page loads. Follow this pointers to avoid multiple page loads. It is necessary to flip pages vigorously for few seconds after taking out from paper box. Make sure the paper stack fits under the arrow mark inside the edge guide. Make sure the edge guide is snug against the left edge of the paper. Don’t push the paper deep inside till you can push it. Just let it rest on it’s own. 2. Buy this compatible pack of 6 catridge for Rs 600 from here >> http://cgi.ebay.in/I...#ht_6561wt_1000 It's volume is comparable to 73N Standard capacity cartridge (Not Economy). This gives her 150 to 175 pages output for single black cartridge. 3. It shows paper empty by blinking red light in the paper load button + additionally in Epson Status Monitor. You need to Reload the paper, then press the Copy button on the printer or click the [Continue] button if it appears on the screen.

1 pointHmmm.....This seems to be very unprofessional suggestion from the guy. It seems to be a hardware problem with the printer's PAGE FEEDER. Ask them to replace the PAGE FEEDER and your problem might get solved.

1 pointHaven't seen any recent deals from RIMweb members for CDMA tab. But why go for CDMA Tab with costly Data+MEID+Programming hassle? If you really need data on the go, these are some of the good options in the economy budget range Reliance 3G Tab GSM advance data packs are good compared to competition. If you want unlocked in which any operator SIM card can be used, Spice Mi-720 is another option >> http://www.letsbuy.c...e-mi720-p-23409 Lastly there is one more option i mentioned here >> http://www.rimweb.in...post__p__240917 few days back. One variant of this tab has a SIM Card slot as i was told. This tab has better hardware spec than Reliance or Spice. 3TB for Rs 7,920 after discount code >> http://www.letsbuy.c...3000300-p-16622 Vaise world's first 4TB Go Flex External drive launched yesterday & available in US for $ 249 >> http://www.seagate.c...goflex-desk-4tb

1 pointReceived info about this product in mail. Looked exciting with great specs for the price, so called up shopyourworld and clarified a few things. This is what i was told on the phone, It has a 1GHz ARM Cortex-A8 processor. There is a SIM slot in which any GSM SIM can be used for 3G Data. ( I asked twice and was told they are sure about that, still confirm again) 1 Year manufacturer warranty they are talking about is shopyourworld warranty. Now to the product, it's Archos Arnova 7 G2 Tablet, just launched few days back, priced $ 215 in hong kong and available with shopyourworld in india for delivery at your doorstep including option of Cash on Delivery Basis. Archos Arnova 7 G2 Tablet at Rs 10,900 >> http://www.shopyourw...ecs-arnova.html Specs: 7” capacitive touchscreen, 800x480 resolution, Android 2.3 Gingerbread, 8GB Memory + Micro SD Slot (SDHC compatible), Wi-Fi, HDMI Output, Webcam, GPS. Archos is a good international brand, not like chinese tablets. The only con i see is that Archos Appslib instead of Google Market for android apps. But i have read that fellas at xda already had some solution to install Android Market in earlier such tablets from archos.
