Only way out of this issue, is to surrender all postpaid connections and go prepaid.... Or even that is vulnerable to CIBIL's rule? I am myself a victim of CIBIL's bad credit rating. It was about 7 years back, now it has been finally rectified and I have a score of around 865 now. I am happy now atleast, but trust me 7 years to rectify mistakes is not a joke by any standard.

Amazon India’s Junglee.com Goes Live Source As expected, Amazon today launched its India operations with Junglee.com. The platform, which Amazon says is still in beta, offers more than 1.2 crore products from over 14,000 brands and hundreds of retailers. Amazon lists Homeshop18, UniverCell, Hidesign, Gitanjali, The Bombay Store, Fabindia, Bata India Limited, Dabur Uveda, Microsoft India Store, Reebok, and Amazon.com, as some of the biggest ones. Users cannot directly buy anything from Junglee.com as the government is yet to allow FDI in multi-brand retail. Amazon is branding it as a purchase decision making site than a pure transactional site. Read on… With Junglee, Amazon has an ambition “of organizing selection and buying options to make it simple for customers to find anything using Junglee.” The site’s about us page mentions product categories include more than 90 lakh books, and 30 lakh products from more than 14,000 Indian and global brands. Junglee features more than 25 categories including mobile phones, cameras, toys & games, baby products, books, music, movies & TV, clothing, jewellery, kitchen & home products. You can discover a wide range of products from bestsellers to unique products such as a 27.12 carat diamond or a Porsche Carrera Gt – 3666 1:18 miniature model. Amazon had acquired Junglee Corp in 1998, then a Sunnyvale-based company that provided database technology to help shoppers find products on the Internet. Some more observations: Existing Amazon users can login using their Amazon credentials. Users can then review products and even ‘Like’ products as well as sellers. (Facebook might like to take a closer look at Junglee’s like button.) Retailers can upload their product catalogs for free on Junglee.com using Amazon’s Product Ads program. At the moment, the service is free and advertisers can direct traffic to their sites if they have online presence or to their customer care number/store location without making any payment to Amazon.

Even the current CIBIL Database related to loans/credit cards has lot of errors and individuals are at a disadvantage in getting the errors rectified. I shudder to think what's going to happen when telcos will submit wholesale data inclusive of terrible billing errors. Imagine a scenario when someone is slapped with a faulty bill running into thousands by the operator (which is not a rarity by any means), customer disputes it and does not pay. Operator will file data with CIBIL as default, ruining the credit history of the individual.

Install as many apps you like but before installing each app, cross check with the andriod community as to the feedback of every app you are going to install. Otherwise as Rajanji has aptly put it "Dhundhate Rahe Jaoge" Syndrome. If one has the habit of installing every app that comes the way then problems will crop up even after an hard reset. Current breed of phones have huge memory available, so more is chance of installing a rogue app.

Absolutely no harm whatsoever. You can install 500 or even more provided your phone has the required storage capacity. It's a myth that more apps installed will make the phone unstable. It's either a poorly designed buggy app OR some issues in the custom skin designed by every phone manufacturer that's the real culprit. Problem arises in finding the offender. It's similar to finding needle in a haystack or trial and error. To avoid that Dhundhate Rahe Jaoge Syndrome, most people take the easy way out of installing less apps!!! Factory Reset is also part of that magic remedy. Start with a clean slate and then again within a short time, back to square one because the innovation always continue. That's Android Fragmentation simplified for you!

This judgement by supreme court is utter non-sense. I lost all my faith in Indian judiciary and it has acted in arbitrary manner without any logic. It simply shows that SC was shamelessly dancing to the music played by the media. I feel this judgement was scripted in haste by Judge A.K.Ganguly to leave some kind of legacy behind him rather than serving meaningful Justice. It's pointless to pass this judgement when the trial is going on the special court. Why can't judges adopted similar position in this case as they've adopted for P.Chidambaram's case?..... Simply ask the special court to continue the trial and pass the judgement.... Is it not eating into the functional area of the lower court by the higher court? What kind of legacy is it??? What is the necessity to rush into judgement ??? Will they ever be able to bring back this time-space relation if the special court finds later that certain licencees had never violated the terms???.... There were 2 issues before the SC on this case. (1) First Come First Serve(FCFS) Policy (2) Wrong implementation of FCFS policy This judgement catastrophically fails on both accounts. If FCFS is wrong policy, then all the licences from 2001 must have been cancelled. If it's wrong implementation then the licences which have not violated the policy should never have been cancelled. MTS, TTSL licences(to name a few) will fall in fair category. Further looking at a major picture, Judiciary does not have any role in policy matters unless it infringes on fundamental rights of the citizens. It's prerogative of the executive. In that sense, it just simply can't rule FCFS policy is wrong. This is simply judicial overreach. Let us hope Chief Justice is watching this unconstitutional move by his colleagues. In my opinion, I see one and only reason. Retirement of Mr. A. K.Ganguly. The most respected Judge has lost all his credibility due to this act of personal gratification at the 11th hour. For his personal empowerment, he has sabotaged the Indian Judiciary. Let us focus on future, Let us pray sincerely to God that at least special court judge will be meaningful and work for true Justice and not for his media status. Govt. must immediately apply for review petition on this utterly irrational judgement. Chief Justice must control his wards to work within their constitutional limits. He must crystal clearly define which are the areas in which Judiciary can pass judgments and the areas in which it should not. If not, balance of power between legislative, judiciary & executive will collapse and eventually democracy falls apart.

^^^ Technically Dual core is nothing but "Single Core + Hyper-threading". Hence for 1 Ghz Single Core its 1 core having 1 Ghz speed (Flops per Second). 1 Ghz Dual core its 2 Core having total 1 Ghz speed, But running two threads, Which is also called Hyper Threading. Theoretically & Logically Dual Core have to be faster than Single core of same speed, But it depends over the OS & applications running. Now the question is The OS & Applications. I have Windows 7 on i3 which is supposed to be Dual core (Task Manager shows 4) but when I do video encoding only 50% processor is used. Reason is the Application, I have to manually change settings & hence I can get the App to use full power of processor. Most applications & OS support Hyper threading but not Dual Core processors. So even if your Phone is dual core, It DOES NOT mean its faster than Single core processors. Example --- NFS (Full Version) runs best on Droid 2 Global (1.2 Ghz) > Droid 2 (1 Ghz) > Droid X2 (1 Ghz Dual Core). Technically it should be best on X2, Which is not. imho..

CIBIL To include Mobile Bill Payment History To Check Credit Worthiness Source Default on your mobile bill and you may soon become ineligible for a home loan or a car loan. Non-payment of telephone bills will also rule out the possibilities of getting a new credit card or even another mobile number. Cibil, the country's credit information bureau, which tracks credit history of consumers, is taking steps to include mobile and telephone bill payment history to calculate the credit worthiness of an individual. It has already launched a pilot initiative with Vodafone's post-paid customers and is in talks with the country's largest telco by customers, Bharti Airtel, for a similar project. It is also learnt to have approached other leading telcos for tie-ups. "Our aim is to eventually link the telecom utility payment history to the banking and financial records of customers and make it available as a Cibil record to banks and other financial institutions," Cibil managing director Arun Thukral said. Cibil issues a numerical score out of 900, which indicates a customer's payments history of loans. This score is issued to banks that need to know financial history of a prospective borrower. The agency is now looking at adding telecom bill payments of post-paid customers, landline users and broadband subscribers as a weightage in that Cibil score. Only 5% or about 45 million of the 900 million mobile connections in the country have a post-paid connection, but this represents the high-end customer base in the nation. The country also has about 50 million and 14 million landline and broadband customers, respectively. Once the tie-ups with telcos are in place, Banks such as ICICI, HDFC, SBI and others may see an individual's phone bill payment history to deny or approve a car, credit card or housing loan. "The database can also be used by a telecom service provider when issuing a post-paid number to an individual. It will lower delinquencies and improve their quality of customers," Arun Thukral added. Vodafone confirmed the deal with Cibil and said it had entered into an agreement with the credit bureau and TransUnion Software Service Pvt Ltd, a move that would enable it to assign credit limits and improve customer service. Prior to this, Vodafone's subscribers were provided with a pre-assigned minimum credit limit, until the full credit validation process is completed. This, at times, restricts the customer's ability to use services beyond a point, especially data and value-added services ( VAS), the company added. Other telcos are also set to come on board soon. "We are exploring the possibility of mutual partnership to leverage Cibil and Bharti's database for the benefit of the industry and both the organisations. Both the organisations carry rich database of consumer behavior and history which can be used for customer profiling based on financial as well as telecom spend," Bharti spokesperson told ET. RCOM confirmed that Cibil had approached the telco with a proposal to use their database to enable the company profile our post-paid customers.

^^^ its India. It takes university a year to rectify spelling mistake on mark sheet and convocation certificate resulting in a loss of year for the student. now what your point? Coming back to the topic, it is bad move when every one is aware that bills are not genuine and customers have to fight with Telcos every now and then. CIBIL is trying to gain advantage our other rating cos like CRISIL to get more customers. this is nothing more than marketing gimic. in US, all utility bills make part of credit ratings. but then there customer can sue telcos and get millions in case of wrong billing. In India, you have to pay to get rectified bills. so not at all acceptable.

Lols, Now they are reacting after 3 years. CDMA 3G EVDO is best as 800Mhz Rocks though less speed but high coverage.
  14. 1 point
My link Now they are offering these pack of HSIA(read EVDO) handset also This makes chepest 3g/evdo plan in india. also ofeering EVDO data from mobile for handset tethering It's cheper than photon plus tariff. i.e. 1GB at just 300, compared to photon plus at Rs650. TATA rocks in EVDO plan, reliance s**ks. Although EVDO coverage is more in reliance, but still no reached to end customer. And EVDO speed of reliance is less compared to tata bcoz of of high contention ratio Practically TATA leads in EVDO, theoretically reliance is winner.
