5 pointsI purchased this. Lol.. I did not knew that you were the purchaser. Great deal you grabbed. May be Rs 1,500 Max through SNS including everything? By all means. It will be interesting to know at what price this comes for selling, including the Royalty! Let's hope it won't be in the similar scale as Apple and Microsoft where they want royalties for knowledge already invented by someone else and in public domain. Regarding flashing and all, people who may want to use this phone just in GSM won't be required to do any flashing / unlocking if they buy a GSM unlocked phone. Built in ROM can be used right away with flexibility to update it as and when the new manufacturer ROM updates come along. My point for pricing for this handset was more applicable for GSM users where not a single phone with such specs and full slide out QWERT is available in indian market at this price range if one will buy a mint used droid 3 through Ebay via SNS. Still i also tell sellers on RIMweb to focus on economy / value segment in CDMA too. There is a large buyer base in CDMA who want to taste smartphones but can't do so as officially only that shi**y Samsung POP is available. Most of the imported CDMA handsets we have on forum tend to go above the 15K mark whereas major market segment waiting to be tapped is within 10 to 15K budget. So many mint imported handsets models like Nexus S, Fascinate, LG Marquee and possibly some higher models too can be made available in this range as they are all available at good prices in Ebay. It's a win win for both seller and buyer as seller will make a good return and buyer gets to buy it at prices which is within his reach and budget. Let's make everyone join the party. Hope i made the perspective clear now.

4 pointsOkay Sir. Agree with You. For low budget handsets --- Importing high end used handsets is total luck. Since Description of Fair, Good, Like New, MINT differs from person to person, Specially US sellers. So you never know what you will get it you buy a used handset.. I have received 100% like new handsets which were described as Used .. Also have received worst condition handset while it was marked a Like New.. So its totally luck game. that was the reason I had to stop importing used handsets. Guys import your handsets, For HTC, Motorola & Samsung (Sprint & Verizon Only) I shall help you with MEID registration & Programming for a small charge. That's the best I can offer you.

3 points@ Kapil I think you totally misunderstood the real message i was trying to convey. May be the message got lost because somebody posted a doubting one liner. It's not at all with respect to at what price a BNIB handset should or should not sell. Totally the choice of the seller. If some buyer don't understand the economics, constraints behind that, simply ignore it. One can never convince doubting minds nor should one expand any energy in that exercise. In fact few times i also wondered... How on earth you're able to sell BNIB handsets at the price you have sold. (LG Thrill May be.. ). That's commendable. Want to convey that lot of hard work has gone behind this "Reputed Seller" thing. Now we should take it to the next level. The objective also is... "How we take imported CDMA handsets to more people... With reliability and economy." All i am requesting to enterprising guys from the "Reputed Seller" group who has the time, inclination and technical ability that they should also concentrate equally or more on the good condition USED handset market too in addition to BNIB handsets. Because for every single BNIB handset that is sold, you may be able to sell 20 USED handsets and will be able to expand the reach of imported CDMA handsets, bring more consumers in, let more people taste CDMA on smartphones because the budget range of 10 to 15K has the maximum potential. Consumers in that budget may not place as much emphasis on a BNIB handset as people with 20+ plus budgets will do. It's nothing to do with the pricing.

2 pointsHi guys, I have used NOKIA X2-01 for 3 months (or 5 months ? I don't remember). Here is what I have observed. Its no-frills phone, boasts no 3G, no MP cameras but a basic phone priced at 3550/- when I bought it: Pros: Excellent keypad: not comparable with E5 of course but at this price very good keypad. Texters will love it. Interface: S40 interface is quite good. I liked it everytime I saw or used it. In fact, I will say one of the best. Size: Size of phone is quite good in hands. Neither small as BB, nor bigger to be uncomfortable. Its base is little bit thicker than usual and shape is contoured a bit which may look strange at first but that special-shape makes it easier to hold it and form a stronger grip when you are taking it out of your pocket. Sound Quality: Sound quality in call is very good, voice is pretty clear whenever you talk/listen on both sides, not even a single time it will be of lower quality. Volume of ringing is average/medium. Just less than those songs played on indo-chinese crap with irritating-high volume. Cons: Speed: Phone is slow, whenever you open Inbox and it has lots of SMSs then it pops up with a messahe written "Opening Messages" and while closing another pop saying "Closing Messages". When you connect/disconnect the calls there is always 1-2 seconds lag in response. Battery: Does not last longer, have to charge it everyday if you talk for 2 hours everyday. VGA Camera: It has VGA camera, so camera lovers just forget this phone. You know how useless VGA is. Call Drops: I have checked different reviews on internet. Searched hundreds of gooles pages but no one seems to have call drops issue with this phone though I faced lots sometimes. Don't know whether location of my rented house is like that. Loudspeaker: Don't ever turn on the loudspeaker. I think at 3550/- its the best QWERTY phone you can get. I don't usually buy NOKIA but this was one of the best phones I ever had.

1 pointDear Members, I keep on getting calls and mails from the RIMwebians regarding any CDMA Prepaid Plan available to use on imported phones or official phones. Okies here you go now:- Plan - This is a plan in which you need to send a SMS, Rs. 5 shall be deducted from your core balance and you shall get 1.38 hours of usage daily so it comes to 41hours for 30 days on Rs. 150. The day you need the plan, you may subscribe it, the day you dont need it, skip it, it is NON AUTO RENEWAL PLAN. And i think you may do it multiple times too in a day if you want more hours in certain day; Suppose i know that i need 6 hours of internet today, I shall do the SMS steps 4-5 times. Here is the process now:- The SMS Codes are different for different circles. For Andhra Pradesh, Delhi, Bihar, Karnaraka, MP, CG, Orrisaa, Punjab, Haryana, Gujarat, Kolkata, West Bengal, HP and Rajasthan SMS "ACT<space>NET50" to 53739 For Mumbai, Maharashtra and Goa SMS "ACT INT" to 53739 And NO such plan for Kerela, Tamil Nadu, Chennai and UP circles. Settings which needs to be used:- To utlise the benifit of this plan you need to use NetConnect settings, that is Username and Password of PPP dialer should be your MDN (Mobile Number) and if you used on RWorld platform you shall be charged as per RWorld tariff, not this plan. Note - It is a time based plan, so when you dont need internet you need to turn it off, otherwise if you kept turned it on by mistake, your all balance shall vanish by deducting @ 60p/minute. In case of any issue, Please post in the topic itself, and if you dont get any revert within 24 hours, Mail the issue - amitjain@rimweb.in Regards Amit Jain

1 pointPrices from a High Feedback seller are always high, And they sell "Buy it Now" mostly. And its not always like that High feedback sellers are selling handset you are looking for.. And as I said earlier import your handset. For HTC, Motorola & Samsung (Sprint & Verizon Only) I shall help you with MEID registration & Programming for a small charge. So its win win for both. And you dont even need that in case of Incredible 2 & Droid 3.

1 point@kapil you have points.. but Rajan ji likes to tell the fact that there are many users like me who are students and can not afford a smartphone more than 15K. And as data plans on CDMA platform is getting momentum (Reliance & MTS (Kolkata/WB) already launched data plans), there will be high demand of mid end and low end CDMA smartphones. As a MTS user in Kolkata I am getting awesome plans 2GB@90 & 6GB@140 on EVDO but can not use it on a good smartphone - only good CDMA smartphones are available officially in market - MTS MTag (528MHz)@5.5K and Samsung Pop (600 MHz)@8.5K and both are with out-dated specs. MEID registration is another problem as most sellers are not doing it for MTS. If you bring OMH RUIM based CDMA smartphones at around 10-12K it will be great deal for us. This is just a suggestion and more of a personal opinion. So please do not mind.
