Think Your Smartphone is Sluggish, Your Memory Card is The Culprit Source Source Source This was a revelation waiting to happen. After spending thousands behind that latest dual core android beasts, do you still think, it lags in performance. Your Memory Card is to be blamed for that... Reason perhaps Apple Still does not allow Memory Cards in iPhones after all this years!!! As per a recent study, "Revisiting Storage For Smartphones" at the Georgia Institute of Techbology on File and Storage Technologies.. Download Full Study Paper >> http://static.usenix..._papers/Kim.pdf With manufacturers focusing on the speed and number of cores a smartphone’s processor features, megapixel numbers, and network technologies like LTE, the performance of an Android handset should largely be based on its hardware, right? Wrong, according to a new study undertaken by researchers at the Georgia Institute of Technology. The type and brand of microSD storage installed in the device could just as well be the culprit. Their study that found that flash storage often accounted for a 100 to 300 percent drop in performance. In one instance the numbers dipped by an astonishing 2,000 percent. The researchers tested top selling 16GB embedded flash memory cards in several Android smartphones and found performance over WiFi varied between 100% to 300% across applications. In one flash memory test, performance dropped more than 20X. Ironically, benchmarking tests showed that some lower grade microSD cards performed better than some higher grade cards. As for naming names, Kim writes that Kingston's microSD card performs so badly that its results need to be removed from test data to get realistic averages. Transcend performs the best for random writes by as much as a factor of 100 compared to the competition. The bottom line is that the brand of microSD card you use in your device does make a difference in how fast it runs. Kim checked the launch time for eight popular apps including Angry Birds, Twitter and YouTube and found that Kingston's microSD cards offered up the slowest times for most of the apps. And for those who complain about how sluggish their Android model is, a change in the microSD card brand you use could make the difference. "A good chunk of time for users is spent waiting for websites to load ... [and for] applications to load," said Hyojun Kim, a Ph.D. student in the College of Computing at Georgia Tech. And, while waiting for apps to load is annoying, a more nefarious impact of poor flash performance is that it depletes a smartphone's battery. Kim said wireless network performance has kept pace with most of today's mobile applications, as have the single and dual core CPUs being used in today's sophisticated smartphones. What hasn't kept pace is the bandwidth of NAND flash, he said. "Why would anyone want to see a 20-second wait time on their phone, particularly if the network is not the problem," he said. The research identified the problem with poor flash device performance to be rooted in random I/O from application databases such as heavy random writes. In flash memory, random write performance is orders of magnitude worse than sequential writes, Kim said. The smartphone tests involved the use of applications such as WebBench Browser, Facebook, Android Email. Google Maps, App Install, Pulse News Reader, and RLBench SQLite. The flash cards came from Transcend, RiData, SanDisk, Kingston, Wintec, A-Data, Patriot Memory and PNY. "Apart from the benefits of selecting a good flash card, there are some fundamental ways we're using storage in a bad way," he said, referring to the way many applications are created to write data randomly, which causes flash performance to fall of a cliff.

Following is an excellent article written by one of our RIMweb member INCEPTION. His name is Rudradeep Biswas and he contributes articles to Telecomtalk. Thank You Rudradeep. Fantastic Work Mate. Original Article Link At Telecomtalk http://telecomtalk.info/cdma-in-india-past-present-and-future/50370/ In midst of the controversy of 2G spectrum scam and excitement of 3G and MNP, India's telecom watchdog TRAI released active user's base of all telecom operators based upon Visitor Location Register (VLR). This heats up the old arch rivalry between GSM and CDMA operators on spectrum issue. Though this study is not good enough to comment on, as TRAI did not specify any time period for VLR, but it shows Airtel, Vodafone and Idea has more than 75% active subscribers in their network compared to Reliance has 66% and Tata Teleservices (TTSL) has 45% – below than 70% of total active subscribers, based on September 2010 data. Following this, COAI – the lobby of GSM operators (mostly Airtel, Idea and Vodafone) hit back AUSPI (union of CDMA operators, face of TTSL and RCom) saying as they have more active customers and thus need of spectrum for them is logical and they do not hold extra spectrum as TTSL accused them. Note that existing policy gives a maximum of 15 MHz of airwaves per circle to GSM players; while the limit for CDMA players is 7.5 MHz. Recently TDSAT rejects TTSL's appeal for taking back extra airwaves from GSM players.CDMA had helped mobiles to reach masses of India via Reliance India Mobile, but now CDMA is not first choice of India, as it is said. But fact is it also could be GSM, if Mukhesh Ambani led Reliance Infocomm chose it. CDMA got mass acceptance due to operator's marketing strategy in a GSM-predominant market. At the same time CDMA gave them some advantages also like efficient spectrum use, greater coverage area, superior voice quality and security than GSM. Reliance Infocomm pioneered in pushing mobiles to masses, the whole thing turns better when lifetime prepaid validity comes, multi SIM handsets launched and new operators bring rock bottom tariff. CDMA Road Map in India * December 2002: Reliance Infocomm started its CDMA mobile services with brand name of Reliance India Mobile with the tagline of 'Karlo duniya Mutthi Mein' * January 2005: Tata Teleservices started its CDMA services with brand name of Tata Indicom. * January 2006: 'One Nation-One Rupee' tariff plan introduced by Reliance Infocomm. * October 2007: DOT allows CDMA players to enter GSM mobile service using Dual Technology platform. * February 2008: Licenses issued to New Telecom Service Providers, only Sistema-Shyam choose CDMA. * October 2008: Reliance rolls out GSM services with pan India approach. (Note Smart GSM services in eastern circles are owned by Reliance subsidiary) * November 2008: Tata DOCOMO arises out of the Tata Group's strategic alliance with Japanese telecom major NTT DOCOMO. * March 2009: Sistema Shyam started pan India rollout with brand name of MTS. * June 2009: Tata Tele starts GSM operation under brand name of Tata Docomo * March, 2010: RCOM reaches 100 million subscriber marks including GSM and CDMA subscribers. When Reliance and TTSL both entered GSM market, both said they will continue to focus on their CDMA business. But as we can see both CDMA major saw a way better response on GSM segment. Also when new 2G licenses were issues in 2008, only SSTL chose CDMA. Check out current status of Reliance and Tata Teleservices (GSM and CDMA): (Note: Oct '08 Reliance GSM rolled out, June '09 Tata GSM/Tata Docomo rolled out) - CDMA is loosing the ground – Why? Handset Issue:CDMA is a patented technology and every manufacturer make cdma phones have to pay Qualcomm. As a result a cdma phone is priced more than a GSM phone with similar features. Also cdma handset market is small and options are limited. CDMA got a blow when leading phone makers Nokia and Sony Ericsson stopped making cdma phones. CDMA handset market is led by Samsung, LG, ZTE, Huawei. Also mediocre battery backup (because of continuous nature of transmission) makes these handsets not a good choice for most consumers. Though introduction of open market handsets (OMH) by Samsung & others is now changing the situation. You can use non-OMH RUIM (equivalent to SIM of GSM), but data sevices and operator's portal can not used unless you get OMH RUIM. It has some drawbacks – you may not get it all places and it does not come free of cost, compared to you can use a GSM SIM to any device (mobile/modem/laptop/tablet) which has a SIM slot. Same thing applies when EVDO/1X data cards come in talk. No private CDMA operators (Reliance, Tata and MTS) sell RUIM for using on customer's own EVDO data card. They sell network-locked data cards. Only BSNL sells CDMA RUIM cards for voice and data. But BSNL CDMA services are not commercially available all over the country. Also there are also limited options for CDMA data cards. SIM-Advantage of GSM: The success of Reliance was based on bundled handset offer. Both Reliance and Tata Indicom sold thousands of Motorola C131, an early cdma b/w handset. Till date most cdma phones are sold with network locked, even if it is RUIM enabled. With worldwide availability of GSM networks (virtually everywhere), global roaming is easier if you are on GSM. Internet on Mobile: Broadband penetration in India is poor, most Indians get into internet for 1st time via mobile. GPRS/EDGE enabled GSM networks and wide range of GPRS/EDGE supported handsets favors the situation to GSM. With limited handsets, most of which do not support 1X connectivity CDMA could not be a mass adaptation! Also like GSM operators have GPRS pack (2GB at around Rs. 100), CDMA operators do not offer 1X Data packs. Recently Tata Indicom has come up with 1X data packs. CDMA lost this game because of limited handsets with data support and operators' lack of interest to be into the ring. Interestingly CDMA players, who are never keen to capture data market on mobile, launched high speed internet via USB dongle (EVDO) for using with computers to capture wireless internet market first. Before 3G comes, EVDO data cards (speed 2.4 – 3.1Mbit/s) were the only option for high speed wireless internet. No Long SMS and USSD: Those who are high SMS users are generally staying away from CDMA, because network does not support any SMS longer than 160 characters – SMS is delivered in parts, it is really painful to forward the long SMS to others. USSD code which offers real time connection on GSM is not supported on CDMA, it is done by SMS if operators really like to do it! 3G and MNP: These are main factors which will control the telecom growth in 2011, and both of them can erode the growth of CDMA. With Mobile Number Portability (MNP) it is expected more and more users will move to GSM while retaining their numbers. At the same time GSM players 3G offerings also lure the customers to enter into GSM space leaving CDMA. Better handsets and same SIM for mobile and data card – it will hike up GSM operators' growth. Also CDMA players can not offer video calls on their current EVDO network. These 3G and MNP will have a very negative effect on CDMA's growth. Though LTE is the common upgrade path for GSM and CDMA, CDMA to LTE path is more complex than UMTS/HSPA to LTE upgrade. Currently there are 6 operators offering CDMA mobile services - # RelianceCommunications (mobile, high speed internet, fixed wireless) # Tata Teleservices – brand name Tata Indicom/Virgin Mobile (mobile, high speed internet, fixed wireless) # Sistema-Shyam Teleservices – brand name MTS India (mobile, high speed internet, fixed wireless) # BSNL CDMA (mobile, high speed internet, fixed wireless) # MTNL under brand name of Garuda (mobile, fixed wireless, 1X data services) – available in Mumbai and Delhi. # Quadrant Televentures Ltd (formerly HFCL Infotel Ltd) under brand name of Ping Mobile (mobile, fixed wireless) – in Punjab circle only. All CDMA operators in India is using 800MHz spectrum Advantages of CDMA in the context of Indian scenario: Though technically CDMA has more benefits than GSM, we are talking about the points which are very relevant in the context of Indian scenario. It can accommodate more users per MHz of bandwidth – efficient use of spectrum; it is ideal for a spectrum-starved country like India. CDMA has no built-in limit to the number of concurrent users. It is able to produce a reasonable call with lower signal (cell phone reception) levels – beneficial to rural users situated far from cells. CDMA also offers better coverage area – better for rural penetration. CDMA offers superior voice quality compared to GSM. CDMA has a well-defined path to higher data rates and increased cellular communications security. Also 3G from GSM players using 2100Mhz spectrum requires around 3 times more BTS covering same area compared to 800Mhz CDMA spectrum used for offering EVDO service. Both CDMA and GSM have their merits and limitations, but as India is a predominant market of GSM operators, users base of CDMA is decaying. What could be the future roadmap for CDMA in India: With MNP kicks in pan India, voice users will shift from CDMA to GSM. With less voice users, the momentum must be given to data. If the operator have 5 MHz, i.e. 4 carriers of 1.25MHz they can upgrade to EVDO Rev B by multi carrier mode, allotting one/two carrier for voice and the rest three/two for data. 2X EVDO Rev.B can give upto 6.2 Mbps and on 3X EVDO Rev. B can give upto 9.3Mbps. Globally there are three commercial EVDO Rev B network is available (Smart Telecom of Indonesia, PTCL in Pakistan and China Telecom of China). In India Tata Tele already tested for 2X Rev B with ZTE. And MTS plans for hardware upgrade its network to support maximum 4.9Mbit/s per carrier, so with 3 carriers it can offer upto 14.7Mbit/s! CDMA players are offering 3.1Mbps download speed with EVDO Rev A on their 2G 800Mhz spectrum, this is almost similar to GSM operators 3G offering – 3.6Mbps. CDMA players did not have to pay some thousand crore rupees for getting 3G spectrum, still the dual mode operators (Reliance and Tata) who are offering both 3G and EVDO data services are priced almost similarly to cut down competition between their 3G and EVDO services. BSNL, the PSU operator is probably priced the most reasonably for EVDO and 3G services. BSNL offers 3G at a price double of EVDO – BSNL EVDO unlimited comes at Rs. 750 and 3G unlimited data comes at Rs. 1499. As there is a little chance of auction of CDMA 3G spectrum at 2.xGHz band private operators can choose a roadmap which is shown in the following figure: Brief Technical details of CDMA :[/b]CDMA2000 family (next to CDMAone/IS95 which was for only voice) 1xRTT or just 1X-Core CDMA2000 wireless air interface standard, supports packet data speed upto 153kbps (DL & UL) 1X Enhancements-1.5 x increases in the voice capacity, supports packet data speed upto 153kbps (DL & UL) – NOT Commercially successful. 1X Advanced-Up to 4x increase in the voice capacity of today's networks, Frees-up spectrum for high revenue earning EV-DO data services, Up to 70% increase in coverage with same capacity as today, supports packet data speed upto 307kbps (DL & UL) 1x-EVDO or EV (Evolution Data Only) * EV-DO Rev 0: Upto 2.4Mbit/s downlink, 153kbps uplink. On realtime use downlink is average of 800kbps. * EV-DO Rev A (DOrA): Upto 3.1Mbit/s downlink and upto 1.8Mbit/s uplink using single carrier of 1.25MHz. Supports VoIP and video telephony. * EV-DO Rev B (DOrB): It is the multi carrier upgrade of Rev A. With multicarrier Rev B can support upto 9.3Mbps using 3 carriers of total 5MHz. With H/W upgrade Rev B can deliver upto 4.9Mbps downlink per carrier. Uplink upto 5.4Mbps. With EV-DO Rev B as allowing the combination of up to 15 1.25 MHz radio channels in 20 MHz – significantly boosting peak theoretical rates to 73.5 Mbps. (DO Advanced) * DOrC: also known as Ultra Mobile Broadband (UMB)/CDMA 4G. Qualcomm discontinued it in November, 2008. As a result Long Term Evolution(LTE) will be natural upgradation pathway for CDMA operators, though it is more complex than migrating from UMTS-HSPA to LTE. * EVDV- Evolution Data and Voice Qualcomm stopped developing EVDV chipsets in 2005. Recently Verizon has taken initiative to roll out Voice over Rev A (VoRA) to offer Apple iPhone CDMA on its network. Notes: * CDMA spectrum is allocated carrier wise. Each carrier is of 1.25 MHz. Initially operator is given 2 carriers i.e 2.5 MHz and then one carrier to be added depending on increase in subscriber base. (Hence it'll be 2.5 then 3.75 then 5 and so on) As per current allocation methodology, each CDMA operator is contractually permitted to receive till 5 MHz without any additional charge and can have maximum 7.5MHz in a circle area. * UMTS is also a CDMA-based 3G technology (WCDMA) that represents an evolutionary step forward for the 2G GSM networks. The 1x technologies operate in the 1.25 MHz radio channels, compared to the 5 MHz channels used by UMTS, resulting in lower theoretical peak rates, but similar average throughputs for high level of network loading. * CDMA450 represents a family of CDMA2000 technologies that operate across the 410-470 MHz band. GSM Evolution: 2G(WAP/GPRS) > 2.75G (EDGE) & EDGE Evolution > 3G UMTS/WCDMA > HSPA > HSPA+ > LTE

I have a beat diesel., Few points: 1. Claustrophobia. Well, on the rear it is bit dark because the usual rear quarter glass is now used as a handle, so that 25% less window area at the rear. But it has benefits too. First no one can peep inside the car to see who is sitting inside! Other, many people put darkest of shades and keep the windows rolled up all the time, so this is taken care of And my mom never complained about too darkness inside. Sure it is not as airy as say Jazz or even spark with its large windows, but it is not bad either. The rear seats are good. 2. NVH. Don't know where people are getting this, but NVH in beat diesel specially when you roll up the windows are superbly controlled. Not a peep of vibration either. I drove it for long distance, and I never felt the noise is holding up the conversation or anything. 3.Peppiness. The engine is really peppy for its size, and specially in city it is very comfortable. On highway 100kmph is its forte. Specially, in city the car rolls on its own in 1st, second and third gear at 2kmph, 12kmph and 20kmph respectively, so you slot it into second gear and totter in traffic at 12kmph without touching the accelerator. 4. Rear space. Again, when you push your front seat all the way back, then the space is less, but who drives with seat pushed all the way back? When seats are placed at human location, the leg space is good all around. Overall I liked Chevy beat diesel. I feel it is a perfect car for city and occasional highway maneuvers. If you primarily need a car for long drives then you can think of other cars, but for city, beat diesel is very good. The design especially has not yet lost its charm even after 1-2 years of introduction. Also, Maruti and Chevrolet quality is not comparable. Chevy cars have bendable bumpers that are 5kmph safe. Also the quality of materials used in cars is much better. All I am saying is that Beat diesel is nowhere as bad as it is sometimes portrayed. Read the team-bhp review as well.

Okay Sir. Agree with You. For low budget handsets --- Importing high end used handsets is total luck. Since Description of Fair, Good, Like New, MINT differs from person to person, Specially US sellers. So you never know what you will get it you buy a used handset.. I have received 100% like new handsets which were described as Used .. Also have received worst condition handset while it was marked a Like New.. So its totally luck game. that was the reason I had to stop importing used handsets. Guys import your handsets, For HTC, Motorola & Samsung (Sprint & Verizon Only) I shall help you with MEID registration & Programming for a small charge. That's the best I can offer you.

@ Kapil I think you totally misunderstood the real message i was trying to convey. May be the message got lost because somebody posted a doubting one liner. It's not at all with respect to at what price a BNIB handset should or should not sell. Totally the choice of the seller. If some buyer don't understand the economics, constraints behind that, simply ignore it. One can never convince doubting minds nor should one expand any energy in that exercise. In fact few times i also wondered... How on earth you're able to sell BNIB handsets at the price you have sold. (LG Thrill May be.. ). That's commendable. Want to convey that lot of hard work has gone behind this "Reputed Seller" thing. Now we should take it to the next level. The objective also is... "How we take imported CDMA handsets to more people... With reliability and economy." All i am requesting to enterprising guys from the "Reputed Seller" group who has the time, inclination and technical ability that they should also concentrate equally or more on the good condition USED handset market too in addition to BNIB handsets. Because for every single BNIB handset that is sold, you may be able to sell 20 USED handsets and will be able to expand the reach of imported CDMA handsets, bring more consumers in, let more people taste CDMA on smartphones because the budget range of 10 to 15K has the maximum potential. Consumers in that budget may not place as much emphasis on a BNIB handset as people with 20+ plus budgets will do. It's nothing to do with the pricing.

20k is quoted for a BNIB not for a used Phone. And we are NOT having a debate here on the price, import a Phone, If it comes good, you are Happy.. What happens when Phone comes bad or NOT as described ? Phone is bricked while Flashing ? Who bears the cost ?? ofcourse RimWeb buyer is NOT going to pay these, its seller's cost. If Rajan bhai says $300 for a BNIB Unlocked Phone ---- I could NOT find any @ $300.. $300 + 10 (US Shipping) + $20 (SNS) + $ 10 (Customs) = 17340/- (Lowest simple cost) $350 + 10 (US Shipping) + $20 (SNS) + $ 10 (Customs) = 19890/- (higher end price) @ 51.. So if I sell @ 20k for a BNIB which I imported @ 53, Am I charging too much ?? People take the cream, see the top and forget the underlying part. Ask Hetal Ji & Parin bhai how many Bricked Phones they have with them ? I asked Parin bhai, he has 6-7 bricked Phones, which would sum upto Rs. 70,000/- if they were good. Hetal Ji has bricked phones worth Rs. 90,000/-.. Did you count that in your calculation ?? And how about you make Payment & don't get the Phone, supplier backs off.. You never know.. to sum it up, Its easy to Quote & find prices, but its NOT EASY to get it at the very thought price & get it to work properly.

Hi guys !!! Finally I got my mopho yesterday and I started playing with it right away. In last 12 hours I have already unloacked the bootloader, rooted the phone, activated my RCDMA no on the handset and tried two roms - 1. ICS CM9 and 2. Rocko rom (based on Jokers skinny blur rom). My experiences with the phone till now - when I was viewing review of photon on youtube and they talked about pixelation issue with pentile display on it, I thought it would'nt be any problem with me, but as I got m phone, I couldn't help but notice pixelation when enlarging images and above all washed out black colour and background (main reason of this being I came from super-amoled display of samsung epic4g). So the display was little disappointing for me . but I was happy to see a larger resolution. Sadly most of the 3rd party widgets are not acoording to this resolution and thus does't fit well on screen. - with stock rom , I fill a detterent lag in every aspect which gone completely after I flashed custom kernel. Benchmark scores were exemplary though - getting 82 mflops on linpack , 3600 on quadrant on cm9. In my sheer excitement I have also made some mistakes for which I have paid some price too. After installing cwm recovery I selected some wrong options and suddenly my phone rebooted only to show that my moto splash screen (with dual core logo) is gone. Instead when I reboot/power on my phone I just get a BIOS like display with all options (RSD,Fastboot,Android recovery etc) and if I doesn't select one for 5 secs the phone actually boots in BP mode to ROM. Can someone please suggest how to solve this issue ? For all (particularly @kshah) who are on cm9 ,i have couple of queries - - Is GSM mode working on cm9 , I don't see gsm(sim) settings on the rom ? - How is the battery life for you ? (for a small time i checked it was very bad) - Do you also see random reboots. Also I have noticed that cm9 is preconfigured to 1.3 GHZ overclock. Which tool do you use to underclock it and what settings have you set (I tried SetCpu which FCed on me) - Video playback still doesn't work for certain codecs. I also noticed 1080p video playback lagging. At this point I'm thinking of going back to complete stock again and then trying afresh. Can someone please provide me a link on how to perform that without loosing RCDMA radio settings. BTW - loved the Kickstand and speaker quality. Still can't conclude about radio quality on CDMA a GSM , but can confirm that it converges very quickly (within 3 secs as @@mujeebrehman said)

I purchased this. Lol.. I did not knew that you were the purchaser. Great deal you grabbed. May be Rs 1,500 Max through SNS including everything? By all means. It will be interesting to know at what price this comes for selling, including the Royalty! Let's hope it won't be in the similar scale as Apple and Microsoft where they want royalties for knowledge already invented by someone else and in public domain. Regarding flashing and all, people who may want to use this phone just in GSM won't be required to do any flashing / unlocking if they buy a GSM unlocked phone. Built in ROM can be used right away with flexibility to update it as and when the new manufacturer ROM updates come along. My point for pricing for this handset was more applicable for GSM users where not a single phone with such specs and full slide out QWERT is available in indian market at this price range if one will buy a mint used droid 3 through Ebay via SNS. Still i also tell sellers on RIMweb to focus on economy / value segment in CDMA too. There is a large buyer base in CDMA who want to taste smartphones but can't do so as officially only that shi**y Samsung POP is available. Most of the imported CDMA handsets we have on forum tend to go above the 15K mark whereas major market segment waiting to be tapped is within 10 to 15K budget. So many mint imported handsets models like Nexus S, Fascinate, LG Marquee and possibly some higher models too can be made available in this range as they are all available at good prices in Ebay. It's a win win for both seller and buyer as seller will make a good return and buyer gets to buy it at prices which is within his reach and budget. Let's make everyone join the party. Hope i made the perspective clear now.

Hi guys, I have used NOKIA X2-01 for 3 months (or 5 months ? I don't remember). Here is what I have observed. Its no-frills phone, boasts no 3G, no MP cameras but a basic phone priced at 3550/- when I bought it: Pros: Excellent keypad: not comparable with E5 of course but at this price very good keypad. Texters will love it. Interface: S40 interface is quite good. I liked it everytime I saw or used it. In fact, I will say one of the best. Size: Size of phone is quite good in hands. Neither small as BB, nor bigger to be uncomfortable. Its base is little bit thicker than usual and shape is contoured a bit which may look strange at first but that special-shape makes it easier to hold it and form a stronger grip when you are taking it out of your pocket. Sound Quality: Sound quality in call is very good, voice is pretty clear whenever you talk/listen on both sides, not even a single time it will be of lower quality. Volume of ringing is average/medium. Just less than those songs played on indo-chinese crap with irritating-high volume. Cons: Speed: Phone is slow, whenever you open Inbox and it has lots of SMSs then it pops up with a messahe written "Opening Messages" and while closing another pop saying "Closing Messages". When you connect/disconnect the calls there is always 1-2 seconds lag in response. Battery: Does not last longer, have to charge it everyday if you talk for 2 hours everyday. VGA Camera: It has VGA camera, so camera lovers just forget this phone. You know how useless VGA is. Call Drops: I have checked different reviews on internet. Searched hundreds of gooles pages but no one seems to have call drops issue with this phone though I faced lots sometimes. Don't know whether location of my rented house is like that. Loudspeaker: Don't ever turn on the loudspeaker. I think at 3550/- its the best QWERTY phone you can get. I don't usually buy NOKIA but this was one of the best phones I ever had.

Yes. Correct. Do it at your sole Risk. Brand New @ 20k But Rajan ji mentioned that it will be cheaper than DINC 2...but as per ur price its not cheap.... This mint Motorola Droid 3 was sold for US $ 225, approx Rs 11,500 on Ebay.com yesterday >> http://www.ebay.com/...c#ht_500wt_1282 New and GSM part Unlocked are also available between US $ 300 to 350 on Ebay for Buy it Now. In an Ebay auction, it may turn out even cheaper than that. Used ones but good condition will cost much less of course than price for new. It all depends on how good one is at finding & striking a good deal.

Call on emergency number 112 can even be made while the key lock is active on your mobile. The call lands in the nearest police control room within your present range. This call can be made even if you don't have account balance.
