Spice has unveiled three new mobile phones in the Stellar range. This includes the Stellar, Stellar Horizon, and Stellar Craze. The company has dubbed them as "secure Android" phones, which is a fancy way of saying that these phones have been preloaded with NetQin mobile antivirus. The Stellar bears a 4" screen and is powered by Qualcomm's 1 GHz Snapdragon processor. It ships with Android 2.3 (Gingerbread), but can be upgraded to Android 4.0 (Ice Cream Sandwich). An ample 2000 mAh battery provides a claimed talktime of 7 hours. You also get a front snapper, as well as a 5 MP autofocus rear camera for the asking price of Rs 10,000.
The Stellar Horizon bears a 5" display and ships with Android 4.0. Its Snapdragon SOC (System On Chip) includes a 1 GHz dual-core processor and a 300 MHz GPU. It sports a 5 MP autofocus camera with a 0.3 MP front cam for video calling. Other features include dual-SIM capability and Wi-Fi tethering. Finally, the Stellar Craze is targeted at the value segment. It features a 3.5" touchscreen, 800 MHz processor, and runs Gingerbread, which can be upgraded to ICS.
The Horizon is priced at Rs 12,000, while the Craze costs Rs 6500. The Spice Stellar is currently available, whereas the Craze and Horizon will hit the market by the end of this month.
