Smart Screen ON Lite >> https://play.google....mVlbm9ubGl0ZSJd This is a great app. Using the Proximity Sensor, you can turn on / off the display screen of your android. No need to stress the hardware power button of your phone. Just wave your hand/finger over proximity sensor even without touching it and the display screen turns on. Though it mentions designed to work on galaxy nexus, i am able to use it on EVO 3D. Should work on other androids. Try.

Got the Panasonic TH-P50GT50D (50 inch) Plasma TV yesterday. It is the 2012 edition under the "Smart Viera" branding. I am upgrading from a Samsung 32" LCD TV which is over a couple of years old. I opted for Plasma since it has better color saturation when I compared different TVs in showrooms. GT30 was a great buy for 2011 as per many reviews, so I went for the GT50 as soon as it was launched in India as the reviews in other countries like US had only good things to say about it. Panasonic launched the 2012 models this month (14th) and stock is now available with dealers. The MRP mentioned in the sticker is Rs.1,38,900 and I got it for Rs.1,15,000 with 1 extra free 3D glass (2 * 3D glasses are included - so total 3). The dealer also gave me a Casio keyboard as a free gift. Model number for the included free glass is TY-EW3D4MA and the additional free glass is model number is TY-EW3D2MA. TY-EW3D4MA is cell battery operated while the TY-EW3D2MA is rechargeable using the USB cable. The remote control looks nice and feels good: The base stand was easy to setup with instructions clearly mentioned in the manual HDMI and USB ports are on the side: VGA port and Composite Video ports are a bit awkwardly placed: Composite cable has to be connected using a connector cable which is included: Overall the design looks good The picture quality for high definition content was excellent and I have checked using AirTel Digital TV HD STB, PS3, Xbox and PC. Standard Definition channels were (obviously) not-so-good, just what you would expect anyway 3D was great and I have tried a couple of stereoscopic 3D games (Uncharted 3 on PS3 & Batman Arkham City on Xbox) which looked very good. I also tried a Blu-ray 3D movie (Transformers: Dark of the moon) which was fantastic to see on 3D. Unfortunately there is no way to take any pics of the 3D in action to post here. I haven't noticed any burn-in yet though I will be doing the initial break-in procedure for about 100 hours. Dealers may say that new Plasma TVs don't require it but to be safe it is better to do it. The out-of-the-box settings were fine though it needs to be tweaked according to the content you are watching. The THX Cinema mode is excellent for watching movies. I have to do further picture setting tweaks after the break-in period. "Viera Connect" (internet based feature) is amazing and I spent more time checking them out than tweaking the picture quality settings. When you start the internet mode (I had also selected WiFi network during the initial setup) it would check for the latest firmware version (for Viera Connect) and there is a new version already: It took about 20 minutes on my 4 mbps connection: That would take you to the Internet menu with apps: Few apps are installed by default including the Panasonic Viera social networking app where you can add Twitter and Facebook accounts. This app allows you to watch the TV program alongside the Twitter/Facebook content: YouTube works well and you can login to your YouTube account as well: YouTube video being played that I had uploaded earlier: continued in next post...

Any modern LCD should accomodate 1 DTH + 1 DVD input comfortably through a combination of input ports. All DTH HD Set top boxes in India has HDMI output. It may have component output too. Non HD DTH Set top boxes has composite. Check what kind of output is there on your DVD player. It can be HDMI, Component or Composite. Some have all three. You can always accomodate these 2 devices on the models in question through using any combination of input ports. The difference between composite and component is that composite can't carry HD Video whereas component can carry Full HD video signal. Difference between Component and HDMI is that HDMI will carry audio signal in addition to Full HD Video signal in the same cable whereas component can't carry audio in the same cable. AFAIK, there will be no TRUE Backlit OR Local dimming Full HD LED TV within 32K budget through Official Retail Channel.

IMHO Samsung series 5 is THE best. Sony bravia is equivalent however lacks capacity to play all video formats. I have researched on this for more than a month . Whatever claims other companies may do, they will not be able to match samsung/sony in two aspects - video and audio experience. Sent from my XT800 using Tapatalk 2

LED TV vs. LCD TV >> http://lcdtvbuyinggu...led-vs-lcd.html For increased budget of 32K for LED, If i was the buyer would have bought this as it's the best bang for buck to me. Philips Full HD LED 32PFL4556 >> http://www.philips.c...712.app102-drp3 Flipkart Description >> http://www.flipkart....d1-89fe6d57b294 It matches Samsung 32EH5000 on most features but has a better 120 Hz Perfectmotion compared to 50 Hz in Samsung. Samsung may have better audio quality. Philips Full HD LED 32PFL4556 is available for Rs 28,310 here after ICICI code >> http://www.buythepri...2pfl4556__11251 However please don't go by my recommendation alone. Do your own research / other inputs. Did you buy it from grey market import at that price or official retail channel?

Cheers! Jas

Good to know. I heard many horror stories for earlier Akai LCD models that's why cautioned. Yes 30% difference is substantial. Technology is not moving backwards but there has to be some difference between 50-75K and 20-30K TV. It seems more one pays, thinner it gets. But now there are so many options for lower price points to satify a vast consumer segment for whom BUDGET is the key. Real forward movement of technology is what impacts maximum mankind in a positive way. Basic technology for most products have matured so much and there are not many groundbreaking innovations, so manufacturers have to find some or the other USP to sell their products as the next big thing. I don't understand what great difference .5, 1 or 2 inch thickness will make for TV other than the visual aesthetics. Yes there will be power saving with LED, but one is not holding TV in hand always like a mobile. However our good doctor Genius may say that some amount of body fat is necessary for healthy functioning. Arrey bhai, you won't be bedridden forever. Get well soon. So wait if you can to visit stores. Else i find this Panasonic VIERA TH-L32U30D as the most feature rich, VFM Full HD LCD from a top brand. >> http://www.panasonic...useries/l32u30d Check the description in detail on Flipkart >> http://www.flipkart....01-f55dbc78522f It's available for Rs 26,362 (after ICICI coupon code) on buytheprice >> http://www.buythepri...d-32u30d__11242

http://www.ebay.in/itm/Samsung-Brand-New-2012-Model-32-32EH5000-Full-HD-LED-TV-Warranty-/280896595760?pt=LH_DefaultDomain_203&hash=item4166bde730 -----> Dealer Warranty. http://www.flipkart.com/samsung-32-inches-full-hd-led-32eh5000-television/p/itmd8yhfvghujged?pid=TVSD8YHY3EFGHPWV&ref=94a1e577-6078-4437-bec3-3eba3b14c1b7 I have seen demo of this tv at Reliance digital store. It is brilliant. Reliance digital is selling it for Rs 34500. There was also one philips 32" lcd (hd ready) at Rs 20000. I would advice you visit local stores and see all the brands. You will be able to see demo and might get better deal than online sellers. You have many options around Rs 30k-32k.

I use this and find it a good product. Panasonic Cordless Phone KX-TG3611 Rs 1,565 >> http://www.ebay.in/i...#ht_5514wt_1139 May be available for 100-200 bucks less in your local market. The same phone costs Rs 1,999 on a reputed online shop >> http://www.flipkart....76-0af18bde81c5 Check this rough viewing distance/TV size calculator >> http://www.amazon.co...ocId=1000021501 Though now a days i see many people buying 40" even for small rooms. Bigger the better is mantra. It may be difficult to get a Full HD 32" in your budget of 20-25 from good TV brands online. If you want to take a risk, can try either of this Akai 32" Full HD at Rs 19,990 >> http://www.flipkart....03-e7917fdfafcb Onida 32 Inches Full HD at Rs 23,090 >> http://www.flipkart....45-5822096fda7e OR increase the budget for Full HD of topline brand. If you want to stick to budget, this HD Ready from Toshiba is true VFM and reasonable quality at Rs 17,470 (After discount code ICICI) >> http://www.buythepri...32hv10ze__11278 Though i would prefer this better model from Toshiba-32PB1E at Rs 19,410 >> http://www.flipkart....4f-bd55c4dae605 It has 10 Bit Video Processing, Ambient Light Sensor, Power Meta brain Picture engine etc. It's not available for your location from Flipkart, so may have to search in local market.

Few days back i read this article on rediff which i would like to share with u all - Weight loss vs fat loss: Don't confuse the two! They're not quite the same thing and you need to figure out which takes priority. People seem to use the terms weight loss and fat loss interchangeably, not understanding the difference between them. It is important, however, that you do understand -- there is a big difference between losing weight and losing fat. What's the difference? Let's start by defining weight loss and fat loss. Weight loss is the loss in your body weight -- the sum weight of your bones, muscles, organs, body fat and water in the body. Fat loss is the loss in your body fat -- the amount of fat your body carries. Healthy goals are 12-20 percent body fat for men and 18-25 percent for women. Weight is good, not bad; you do not want to lose weight, and more importantly for your health, you do not want to lose muscle. Our weight is made up of tissue, muscle, bone, blood, fat, water, and the rest of our physical bodies. Muscle, like every other component of our physical make-up, is most important. And fat is also a necessary, vital part of our physical make-up. Excess fat, however, is bad news and that is what you should focus on -- fat loss. As you know, a scale measures how much weight you have lost, but it will never tell you where this weight was lost from. This is where the problem lies. Carbs bind to water. So eating less carbs will make you lose weight (water loss). This is why you lose so much weight on a diet like the Atkins within the first two weeks: it's mostly water. Of course, increasing your carb intake will make you gain weight again. On the other hand, you'll gain muscle while losing fat when you get into strength training. But on the weighing scale it will look like you're not making progress: your body-weight doesn't change. Two people with the same height can weigh the same, but look completely different as one has lower body fat than the other. For this reason, a bodybuilder or a large athlete can weigh much more than the average person. The best way to monitor your progress when embarking on a new diet, is to measure your body fat percentage and your lean body mass. Lean body mass is your weight excluding fat. Lean body mass includes bone, muscle, and other fat-free tissues with the majority of this being muscle. By measuring these two items, you will be able to determine how much fat you are losing and whether or not you are losing any muscle. The simplest way to measure your body fat percentage is through skinfold testing. Another method is using a machine, which displays the body fat percentage using the bioelectrical impedance method. Not only is it healthier for you to lose fat, you will feel better while you're doing it. There is no need for starvation or 'all-liquid' diets. Eating smaller meals more frequently is the key to this process. Starvation diets actually slow down your metabolism in the long run, making it harder for you to keep the weight off. If you want to lose fat here are a few tips to help you: Make vegetables your primary source of carbohydrates. Eat five to six small meals a day, consisting of high protein, moderate carbs, and low-fat. Do cardiovascular workouts at least three or four times a week. Do intense weight-training at least three or four times a week. Eat more raw foods. Focusing on fat loss will help to ensure that your body looks great and you feel great as well. It will give you the body you truly desire without sacrificing your diet and your health. So stop starving yourself and start starving your fat! The result will be a leaner, healthier you! http://www.rediff.co...ss/20120529.htm

@Rahul When I joined RimWeb in 2009 I did not know anything about Foreign CDMA handsets & their Programming. And I have learnt a lot from this forum & today I am Programming them myself. The best part of this forum & its members is while they have such knowledge that non can compete but still they come down to our knowledge level & explain things to us. So I would suggest take some time & learn. If you don't know about technology, post news or information that can we helpful to other members. Post deals available. There are many things to do. And in some days I am sure you will be seeing yourself a 'Experienced Member' or 'Guru'. Good Luck !!!
