HI friends, Since Evo Design has less publicity on forums, so there are very less information available about rooting and other technical issues. I have successfully rooted my Evo Design 4g after upgrading to Icecream Sandwich. Here are the steps 1. Unlock your Bootloader using htcdev (website). 2. DOWNLOAD recovery and put it to the root sd card, Here is the link for CWM recovery for Evo Design 4G. http://dl.dropbox.com/u/24065431/kingdom%20stuff/New%20folder/PH44IMG.zip 3. Download the root file and put it to the root of sd card: Root_SuperSU.0.93_Busybox_1.20.2_Update2.zip(file uploaded below) Copy the PH44IMG.zip(Recovery file) file you downloaded, to sd card Boot into stock recovery (volume up+home+power), and select "apply update from external storage". Now select the recovery-PH44IMG.zip file you copied in previous step (this step gives a temporary flash that will disappear after reboot) After flashing, remove recovery file(PH44IMG.zip) from root of sd card. If not done, phone will prompt for reflash it after every reboot. After reboot into bootloader mode,You get CWM touch recovery interface Inside CWM, select "install zip from sdcard". Now, select "choose zip from sdcard" or "choose zip from internal sdcard" (directs to external sd) and point it to the attached "CWM_Root_XXX.zip" It will add SuperSU, last superuser binary (su) to system/xbin and busybox last version to system/xbin, all with correct file permissions. Reboot and you get permanent root + busybox installed on your stock kernel. Note: One can google for detail steps "How to install CWM recovery" and "How to unlock bootloader" for ur phone before performing above steps. This method has successfully rooted my htc design 4G. Try at your own risk. I am not responsible for any damage to your phone CWM_Root_SuperSU.0.93_Busybox_1.20.2_Update2.zip

http://www.ebay.in/itm/280896256062?var=580105867195&ssPageName=STRK:MEWNX:IT&_trksid=p3984.m1497.l2649#ht_5688wt_1139 I had bought this one. For 110 bucks. Not a fan of flip cover for the following reasons 1. Difficult while playing games 2. You have to text with one hand. 3. It's a pain while driving. 4. If say you are working on a computer and your hands are busy, and you get a call, you have to interrupt your work to open the flip and see who is calling.

You did not get my point. I asked you to start afresh. Find and flash the one click rooted ff18 from sfhubs . This way you will start from clean. After that just give your phone three cycles of full charge thru ac adapter and full discharge. You will be good to go, new from will be helpful in correcting errors on the previous setup and three charge cycles will calibrate the battery. Using 3g drains the battery very very fast so turn off the 3g once you are done. Keep brightness to lowest comfortable limit Switch off Bluetooth GPS and other services to off. By using titanium backup , backup and then remove sprint bloatware that you don't use. Sent from my SCH-I500 using Tapatalk 2

I have successfully de-provisioned MTS MTAG Huawei C8511 from its locked carrier MTS. Reliance RUIM was working with voice and sms by default. I did not require a pc or any such equipments. Now 1x/Evdo works beautifully. I tried much hard to de-compile and rebuild framework-res.apk to remove carrier files but firmware crashed and had to re-install firmware and re-root a hundred times. However carrier name could not be changed by erl.xml. In stock firmware, non-MTS APNs could not be saved, now I have made Reliance as default. Anyone interested in modifying MTS phones can contact me for free support.

Samsung Galaxy S3 spotted running official Android 4.1 Jelly Bean Source Rumors have been circulating over the past couple of weeks suggesting Samsung’s hard at work on a Jelly Bean update for the (international) Galaxy S3, and that release is slated for late August or early September. Today we have the first indication of what this new software version might actually look like, as video footage of Android 4.1 on the S3 has leaked out from Mexican site AndroidMX. The video shows exactly what we’d expect Jelly Bean on the Galaxy S3 to look like -- you’ve still got all your TouchWiz customizations there, and that’s still 90 percent of what you’ll see in normal operation. However, fancy new Jelly Bean features like Google Now and the redesigned notification area are present and accounted for. As for speed, the S3 looks fast on Android 4.1, but then it’s pretty speedy on ICS, too, so that’s nothing new. Regardless of how much new stuff there ends up being in this update, international Galaxy S3 owners will be hoping that the rumors of a release in the next month or so turn out to be true. We’ll certainly be crossing our fingers.
