I would stay away from using CWM to flash anything ( if its not a tweaked recovery ) as while wiping data , your phone might get bricked ( PLEASE NOTE there is a BRICK BUG in S2 sprint which generally kills the phone when you are wiping data via RECOVERY ) There are just a couple of safe recoveries + kernels combo whjich are safer ( may be 1 or 2 more ). Use ODIN updates , try this safe method , and the hall mark is that yopur phone will be updated to FH13 , it will get rooted as well and the best part is YOUR DATA and APPS will not be lost. Note down your Min no , and backup your NV settings - its a good habit If you are willing then follow this procedure. : Download this http://rwilco12.xdaf...D_NODATA_OC.EXE 1.... I am sure you have already installed Samsung usb drivers for Epic touch on your PC. 2.... unzip using 7zip > you will get a One click odin .exe file > double click it and it will show you a odin window 3.... Power down phone Wait for capacitative button lights to turn off . Simultaneously Press and Hold [Power] and [VolDn] until confirmation screen appears, after that Press [VolUp] to enter Download mode 4.... now you are in download mode > connect usb cable , > your phone will show in a yellow box in the just opened odin window. ( please make sure that you are using a good usb cable ) 5.... hit start - in a few minutes the flash will complete and PASS or success will display on ODIN window in green color. Onec done , either the phone will reboot itself or you can reboot it urself. Now upon reboot , you are on stock FH13 - Rooted - with all your user data still intact. Have fun !!! [ WARNING - flashing your phone, however safe the method may be termed, can BRICK your phone , so do it on your own , I or RIMWEB cant be held responssible for any BRICKED devices - regards ]

Prathod, that was really interesting. Now since this ancient thread has now been reactivated, let me indulge in my hobby of unravelling such mind games... 1. We are asked to think of any number between 1-10 and multiply it by 9. So we know the result will be a multiple of 9, i.e. 9,18,27......90 2. Then we are asked to add up the 2 digits of our above result. Now sum of the 2 digits of any multiple of 9 will always be 9 (when multiple is not beyond 90, as in above case) So we know the result will always be the number 9. 3. We are then asked to subtract 5. So the answer to this step will ALWAYS be 4. Since everyone arrives at the number 9 and 9-5=4. 4. Now we are asked to name a country starting with "D" Denmark is the only well known country with D, the other 3 are very arcane & unknown ones like Djibouti, Dominica & Dominican Republic. So we know that the ending alphabet will be "K". 5. Now, though there are some Animals starting with K, only Kangaroo is a possibility. Others are either arcane, or 2 word names, or doubtful ones being birds/fishes/reptiles (like Kiwi or Komodo Dragon). So answer will always be Kangaroo - specially in a hurry. 6. Kangaroo ends with "O" and the only fruit starting with "O" is Orange. (Olives would usually not be considered as a fruit) So, end result is always: Orange. Q.E.D.

Hello RIMwebians, This thread has been opened to clear all the doubts regarding using DATA Services on Reliance CDMA Phones. I see many members seeking for help to know details about the plans, or many members ends up making huge Bills due to wrong plan selected or wrong PPP used. PPP plays an important role while using the DATA on CDMA phones, its same as like APN in the GSM. The PPP you will use, you will be charged as per it only. There are two PPP :- RMW PPP and RNC PPP. If one use RMW PPP by taking RNC plan or vice versa, it will end up in huge bill or sudden decrement from Prepaid Balance. All PPP settings are initially done by your seller in case of Imported Handsets and are set to RMW in case of Proprietry Reliance Handset. So carefully choose the plan and use the PPP Accordingly. All plans listed can be used on the phone or tether to your PC. Any member can ask the question about the same if there is any doubt and all queries will be answered and solved within 48 hours. Really Disappointing ! I was expecting at least finger print reader on the home button and NFC for passport (based on the rumour blogs) This is just a silly revision, should have called it 4GS or something than 5. Not even worth comparing with Nexus leave apart S3 which seems like an entirely different level. Though secretly I am still hoping to buy the shiny new iphone5 ! But purely for the show-off value and smug happiness of taking it out in front of android fanboys and acting as if I really don't recognize their S3 or Nexus and commenting that 'Micromax makes good phones nowdays' while looking with disdain on their phone as they try to impress with their live wallpapers or whatnot. Or mentioning that it would anyway never fit in my skinny jeans pockets but is good for their baggy pants ! Plus I find I waste much less time on iphones compared to androids where i tend to keep fine tuning the apps & settings & roms & updates & compulsive backups rather than using the phone productively. Offcourse, blackberry is the least time wasting phone since it runs nothing worthwhile except mail/sms/calls.

The release of iPhone 5 is going to reignite the patent wars as both HTC and Samsung prepare to sue Apple on use of LTE in the new iPhone. I wonder how Apple would come out of this when HTC is planning to ask for a ban on entry of the new iPhone to US! Link And in the lighter vein, Apple Sues Apple As IPhone Found Copied From Earlier Versions In a major turn of events, after running out of companies to sue, Apple has decided to sue itself for $10 Billion. Apple says that Apple knowingly and wilfully copied its own products and failed to innovate. “Look at the iPhone 3G and iPhone 3GS; they all look very similar. Now look at the iPhone 4 and iPhone 4S; they are almost the same,” said an Apple lawyer. Apple says that it has a patent on squares with rounded corners, which Apple copied for the last 4 years. People have been mislead into buying newer products, year after year, which are basically the same. However, Apple says that it was building on its own innovation and design patents shouldn’t apply in this case. The judiciary system in the US is absolutely stumped. They are already convinced that Apple has shamelessly copied Apple, but are not able to decide how to go about the case. It is the first time in history that a company has sued itself. Some analysts believe that this is a very smart move by Apple. If Apple loses the case, and pays 10 Billion USD to Apple, it might serve as a precedent for future cases. Some believe that it is marketing ploy by Apple, after being reportedly out of any tech coverage for over 4 hours. The lawyers at Apple’s legal department were found to be having a huge party near the campus in anticipation of the huge pay check that they hope to receive from Apple, as well as Apple. Apple iPhone 5 to be available in separate GSM and CDMA versions Source Apple's just announced iPhone 5 will be available in two separate models when it hits shelves on September 21st. According to the official specs page from Apple, there will be separate CDMA and GSM versions of the phone, a break from the iPhone 4S which packed both wireless protocols into the same chassis. The A1428 GSM model and A1429 CDMA model both support LTE, HSPA+, and DC-HSPA, but they do so on different bands for the various carriers that the iPhone 5 will be available on. Apple also lists a second A1429 model with support for more GSM bands than the A1428 version. Based on the specs provided by Apple, the A1428 will be carried by AT&T and Canadian operators (with support for LTE on bands 4 and 17), while the A1429 will be available from Sprint and Verizon in the US and KDDI in Japan (with LTE on bands 1, 3, 5, 13, and 25). The GSM A1429 supports LTE on bands 1, 3, and 5 and will likely be offered in global markets such as the UK, Germany, Australia, Korea, and Japan. The last time Apple had to split the iPhone into two separate models was when the CDMA version of the iPhone 4 was originally announced in February, 2011. As mentioned, the iPhone 4S used a baseband chip that was able to support both CDMA and GSM radios in one unit. The separation for the iPhone 5 doesn't come as a huge surprise, though, since Apple had to release separate versions of the new iPad with LTE support for AT&T and Verizon. If there is one thing that we can take away from this, it's that it will not be easy to transfer an iPhone 5 from one carrier to another. The A1428 model for AT&T will never work on Verizon or Sprint's networks, and the A1429 won't be compatible with AT&T's. Additionally, should you get an AT&T model, it likely won't work with LTE networks in other parts of the world. EDIT: CDMA Model A1429 for Sprint & Verizon seems to be global model supporting both CDMA & GSM.
