6 points^^^ Patience patience...Nirvana will come one day! Before you get all jazzed to show off your new iPhone 5, take a look at the gadget you’ll be flaunting in a few years: the iPhone 10. Redditor avfarooq looked into the gadget crystal ball and discovered the Apple device we’ll all pine over in the future. Bonus: The iPhone 20, as envisioned by Alessio Biancalana. It might be large, but at least it’s Jedi-approved.

2 pointsReally Disappointing ! I was expecting at least finger print reader on the home button and NFC for passport (based on the rumour blogs) This is just a silly revision, should have called it 4GS or something than 5. Not even worth comparing with Nexus leave apart S3 which seems like an entirely different level. Though secretly I am still hoping to buy the shiny new iphone5 ! But purely for the show-off value and smug happiness of taking it out in front of android fanboys and acting as if I really don't recognize their S3 or Nexus and commenting that 'Micromax makes good phones nowdays' while looking with disdain on their phone as they try to impress with their live wallpapers or whatnot. Or mentioning that it would anyway never fit in my skinny jeans pockets but is good for their baggy pants ! Plus I find I waste much less time on iphones compared to androids where i tend to keep fine tuning the apps & settings & roms & updates & compulsive backups rather than using the phone productively. Offcourse, blackberry is the least time wasting phone since it runs nothing worthwhile except mail/sms/calls.

1 pointHello RIMwebians, This thread has been opened to clear all the doubts regarding using DATA Services on Reliance CDMA Phones. I see many members seeking for help to know details about the plans, or many members ends up making huge Bills due to wrong plan selected or wrong PPP used. PPP plays an important role while using the DATA on CDMA phones, its same as like APN in the GSM. The PPP you will use, you will be charged as per it only. There are two PPP :- RMW PPP and RNC PPP. If one use RMW PPP by taking RNC plan or vice versa, it will end up in huge bill or sudden decrement from Prepaid Balance. All PPP settings are initially done by your seller in case of Imported Handsets and are set to RMW in case of Proprietry Reliance Handset. So carefully choose the plan and use the PPP Accordingly. All plans listed can be used on the phone or tether to your PC. Any member can ask the question about the same if there is any doubt and all queries will be answered and solved within 48 hours. 1 point1. Give a complaint to 121@in.airtel.com, that way you will get a written response of what is going on with your number. 2. Forward the same response that you got from 121@in.airtel.com to their appellate authority. Have them return the extra charged amount for all the calls post stv recharge. Give them atleast 15 working days to work on your query. I hope you are having the confirmation sms proving that you had recharged the STV. If they don't do anything post a complaint on www.pgportal.gov.in and www.core.nic.in These processes will yield better and faster results than giving a complaint @ the consumer forum. --- Just to threaten them Generate a Unique porting code by sending PORT <space> Mobile number to 1900. That way their will call you to know your problem and to offer you some freebies so that you stay back. Doing this is usually more effective than the normal process of raising service requests.

1 pointWhatever we say, we all crave for it.. there is nothing exciting or worth mentioning. they will market big on camera and lightness of the phone. people will fall for it. even if you see their launch video (below), it highlights the changes in manufacturing and other items which as a normal user I dont even care for. they do not have anything to show.. but whatever we think, people will line up for it.

1 pointI would stay away from using CWM to flash anything ( if its not a tweaked recovery ) as while wiping data , your phone might get bricked ( PLEASE NOTE there is a BRICK BUG in S2 sprint which generally kills the phone when you are wiping data via RECOVERY ) There are just a couple of safe recoveries + kernels combo whjich are safer ( may be 1 or 2 more ). Use ODIN updates , try this safe method , and the hall mark is that yopur phone will be updated to FH13 , it will get rooted as well and the best part is YOUR DATA and APPS will not be lost. Note down your Min no , and backup your NV settings - its a good habit If you are willing then follow this procedure. : Download this http://rwilco12.xdaf...D_NODATA_OC.EXE 1.... I am sure you have already installed Samsung usb drivers for Epic touch on your PC. 2.... unzip using 7zip > you will get a One click odin .exe file > double click it and it will show you a odin window 3.... Power down phone Wait for capacitative button lights to turn off . Simultaneously Press and Hold [Power] and [VolDn] until confirmation screen appears, after that Press [VolUp] to enter Download mode 4.... now you are in download mode > connect usb cable , > your phone will show in a yellow box in the just opened odin window. ( please make sure that you are using a good usb cable ) 5.... hit start - in a few minutes the flash will complete and PASS or success will display on ODIN window in green color. Onec done , either the phone will reboot itself or you can reboot it urself. Now upon reboot , you are on stock FH13 - Rooted - with all your user data still intact. Have fun !!! [ WARNING - flashing your phone, however safe the method may be termed, can BRICK your phone , so do it on your own , I or RIMWEB cant be held responssible for any BRICKED devices - regards ]

1 point<< This service is not active anymore, so requests will NOT be accepted now. Please check: >> Ok guys... Now we are available here on RIMweb.in to provide the EVDO activation to Aam Admi who are unable to get it through the Reliance Contact Centre and/or Reliance Outlets. Following are the rules and regulations:- 1. EVDO Activation Request will be processed only for RIMweb.in Registered members having more than 10 posts. 2. Members need to send an email from the email address registered with your RIMweb.in profile with the following details to: evdo@rimweb.com or evdo@rimweb.in (please send to either one only and not both!!) RIMweb.in member username (this is the forum registration member profile username so that we can check your post count and NOT your full name) MDN - 10 Digit Number RSN - RSN Number of the handset/OMH Sim Card Handset - with model # Alternate Contact Number - Any Alternate Mobile Number to which a confirmatory call shall come from Mumbai Reliance Headquarters for EVDO Confirmation. 3. After sending the email the member will receive a confirmation email within the next 7 days. Members cannot make any irate demands for the activation of EVDO. We shall pick up the numbers once in a week for activation and the member should understand that it may take upto 10 days; though we will be trying to activate in 2-3 working days normally. 4. This activation procedure is meant for members who have purchased an EVDO handset along with OMH Sim Card (like Samsumg Galaxy POP, Corby, SCH 369, SCH 239, LG 510 Cookie, LG 235 etc.) from Reliance for which the EVDO parameters are already registered in OMH Sim Card with Reliance. The number/connection of the member should be on either an OMH SIM Card or a Non Sim handset which is having EVDO Facility and whose EVDO Parameters are also registered with Reliance. 5. An SMS will arrive on the member's handset regarding a request being registered at a Reliance Outlet and asking for overall experience. Member needs to either reply with "YES" or leave it. Please DO NOT reply with "NO". If we get a "NO" SMS from any member, then this project for EVDO Activation shall be closed immediately. And after getting EVDO Activated, Memeber may confirm us by posting here in this thread. Regards Amit Jain -------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Please Read This: How is EVDO activated on Reliance CDMA? There are two steps for EVDO Activation First, the parameters of EVDO should be registered for the handset in Reliance Server. In case of OMH SIM Card and Official Reliance BlackBerry having EVDO (BlackBerry 9630, 9650, 9230, Style etc.) and Official Reliance Non SIM EVDO Handsets (Like - Samsung Atlas, Coolpad N900), the parameters are already registered with Reliance. And in case of Imported handsets, you need to check whether your EVDO parameters are registered with Reliance or not. We are NOT here for REGISTERING THE EVDO PARAMATERS of imported handsets. Second step is after your EVDO Paramters are available in Reliance Server, EVDO won't start automatically. We have to submit request for EVDO; WE ARE HERE DOING THIS WORK ONLY in this thread. We have seen many members asking for help to do this as Customer Care is clueless about it and that is why we are helping here. Additional Notes: * Making EVDO work on imported handset requires programming the handset with necessary HSD PRL's, HSD username and password in addition to the handset parameters being registered in Reliance Servers. That is outside the scope of this initiative. You may contact your handset seller for necessary assistance to register EVDO parameters at Reliance and configure in your handset if your handset's MEID/ESN is registered with Reliance. * We can activate EVDO on BlackBerry handsets only if you have active BIS Service (CDMA) on the handset. In Case of BlackBerry handsets, member will not get any Service Request SMS. We will get EVDO activated on BlackBerry handsets directly from AAA Phongen Team. * To configure handset like Samsung Galaxy POP CDMA: Go to Setting > Wireless > Mobile Network > APN > Add new APN > Username = MDN (10 digit number) Password = MDN (10 digit number) Homepage – www.google.com Save it and then select it as default. You can use now as per your NetConnect Traiff plan You can change NetConnect plans by calling: 180030005555 All data plans available for Reliance Mobile CDMA can be found in this topic plan details.doc plan details_smaller_file.pdf

1 pointYe shayad tumhare liye nahi hai... I think you are talking about having EVDO on your imported Hero? Please read point 4 of the opening post, Implies that is is not meant for imported handsets EVDO activation. And Reliance is the only CDMA Operator having it's own sick defination of OMH. In India as well as across the world having an OMH handset means EVDO will work out of the box. But Reliance thinks otherwise and keeps EVDO off by default for every subscriber. So even people buying OMH SIM card capable phones (Anyway very less number of phones are OMH Sim capable) have to run around for EVDO activation on their number. Something which should work out of the box becomes a Reliance "Meherbani" and harrowing experience for the Customer because their CC's most of the time have absolutely no clue what the Customer is talking about!! So instead of that running around behind Reliance Customer CC for OMH Sim phone holders, Amitji will take the requests here and forward to Reliance for EVDO Activation (Because he has Reliance CC Module being a Franchisee?). A nice praise worthy initiative to save whatever bachi kuchi "aabru" Reliance has from CDMA old timers & this forum lovers.. Whatever few CDMA loyalists Reliance is able to hold on to is because of few such people here.. Amitji can correct if i have understood wrongly..
