3 pointsNow search and delete those useless forwards which have been hogging all the limited free gmail space in your precious gmail account. http://timesofindia.indiatimes.com/tech/tech-news/internet/Google-adds-new-features-to-Gmail/articleshow/17230063.cms Google, the search giant, has introduced new search features in Gmail, its cloud-based email service. In a post on the official Gmail blog, software engineer Christian Kurmann said that users can search their emails while taking into account file size and exact date. "We're always looking for ways to make it faster and easier for you to find your messages using search in Gmail. So starting today, you can now search emails by size, more flexible date options, exact match and more. This means, for example, to find emails larger than 5MB, you can search for size:5m or larger:5m or to find emails sent over a year ago, older_than:1y," according to the blog Kurmann's post further continued that these new additions will work in conjunction with other Gmail features intro by Google recently, including new compose box and autocomplete in search. A few months ago, the company had also started field trials wherein users logged into their Gmail accounts could search for emails and files from Google Search itself. Currently being tested only on desktop searches, these trials require users to sign up by themselves.

2 pointsAs there is no problem with the cable, try the following This type of problem is seen in lower configuration PCs with XP OS due to the driver (software) installation problem. If the laptops you used are with XP OS, try in W7 PCs. If you are using a real time anti virus in your laptop, the external drive (hard disc or pen drive) will be shown only after scanning completed. As the capacity of the external HDD is high it will take some time to complete the scanning and HDD will be shown after a few minutes. So wait a few minutes after connecting HDD or temporarily turn off antivirus and connect the HDD. Some hard disc drives require more than 500 milli Ampere of current. The USB ports in a PC will supply 500 milli Ampere of current only, So that type of HDDs requires to connect with 2 USB ports simultaneously. But in the case of TV the USB port current is not regulated like the SMPS and motherboard regulations of a PC and will yield more than 500 milli Ampere of current and the HDD will work in a single USB port. So check whether your HDD requires 2 USB ports.

1 pointEconomic Times 12 NOV, 2012, 06.29 AM IST Sparks are flying ahead of Diwali in India's telecom market after the country's largest mobile phone company, Bharti Airtel, closed its network to incoming text messages from subscribers of two other operators, Aircel and Reliance Communications. Bharti AirtelBSE 1.31 % executives said the company was forced to do this after the two companies started flooding its network with what they described as "free spam messages", a charge that has been vehemently denied by RCOM and Aircel. "They (Aircel and RCOM) are sending free SMS to our networks, which, in turn, is impacting the quality of service on our network and, therefore, the quality of service to our own customers," an Airtel spokesperson said. Aircel and RCOM, in turn, allege that Airtel was resorting to pressure tactics just days before Diwali to force them to pay more towards SMS termination charges. Executives of the two companies also accused Airtel, founded by billionaire Sunil Mittal, of abusing its dominant position. "The timing of this step on the eve of Diwali reflects Bharti's blatant disregard for the interests of millions of customers and is another instance of abuse of market position by Bharti," an RCOM spokesperson said. RCOM, the second-largest mobile phone operator by users offering services on both GSM and CDMA technology platforms, also slammed Bharti for "unilaterally taking this coercive action on an issue that was sub judice before Supreme Court and was also under consideration by sector regulator Trai". But, an executive close to Airtel defended the company's move saying "allowing any misuse of our (Airtel's) network would compromise the quality of service for our own customers during the festival season". Companies may Take Dispute to Court "Bharti Airtel has asked us to sign a bilateral interconnect agreement, which says 10 paise per SMS will be charged to a non-Airtel customer. We are resisting this as the cost for our customers would go up significantly," the Aircel spokesperson said. The two companies may take the matter to court this week. The issue dates back to November 2011, when Airtel demanded that Aircel, which is majority-owned by Malaysia's Maxis, pay 10 paise for every text message terminating on its network. Subsequently, Airtel raised a bill of about 25 crore for the period from April to October 2011. In January, Airtel sent a notice asking Aircel to pay the amount by the end of that month. Aircel approached the telecom tribunal (TDSAT) claiming that the dues claimed by Airtel were "arbitrary, illegal, wrong, unilateral and without any basis". But, in September, the telecom tribunal ruled in favour of Airtel. Aircel has challenged the verdict in the Supreme Court. Denying the charges of Aircel and RCOM, the Airtel spokesperson said that the "company followed a completely non-discriminatory policy with all operators on the matter of interconnection for SMS services". "However, two operators have chosen to adopt a discriminatory practice. They are sending free SMS to our networks, which, in turn, is impacting the quality of service on our network and, therefore, the quality of service to our own customers. We are fully compliant with the court orders and/or the agreements on SMS termination. We advise these operators to follow non-discriminatory SMS interconnection practices to ensure uninterrupted and high quality service to their customers," the Airtel spokesperson said. The executive close to Airtel also alleged that the company had sent out "several reminders to all operators not honouring either the contract or court orders" on SMS termination rates. "Court has upheld that SMS termination charges have to be paid. In spite of this, some operators are not paying. They want to use the network without paying and without signing a contract. This contradicts the court orders," he said. 1 pointwell your question was answered even before I read it. Its apparent that the auction of cdma will not be done,so Mts will make a strong point that cdma and gsm license cancellation should be viewed differently.By doing this if they get back license then Tata will also get it back claiming the same reason. In the 2nd scenario if Mts does not get back license Goi will get nothing from cdma.
-
1 pointTata took a very clever step that probably will change many things. The position of MTS is now very strong. With Videocon not in the fray and Tata withdrawing from it for its 3 quashed licenses, Govt will be thrown in a catch 22 position. It is now to be seen what the apex court will decide. How the vacant CDMA spectrum will be used and by whom is the biggest question now. Kudos to Tata for making this fray dramatic

1 pointbecoz the profit they saw from 800mhz auction they will gain nothing
