Download 2.. use 7Zip to extrct the one click odin file , right click > 7Zip > extract > and double click to open the ODIN window 3..just make a nandroid of your current setup to be on safe side 4.. turn off phone 5.. hit and press Vol down and power button together for 5 seconds > then hit volume up to get in download mode 6.. connect phone with PC > it ll show as a yellow com port in ODIN window 7.. Hit start and PROFIT ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ KNOWN Issues ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ 1.. PLZ note you will have severe problems if your contacts have snaps with them The one declared and which i faced myself is that contacts with snaps will force close the phone when any call is received or made SO ITS IMPORTANT THAT ALL THOSE SNAPS SHOULD BE REMOVED FROM PHONE MEMORY INSIDE THE PHONE BOOK AKA CONTACTS u can use this app to remove all snaps in one go : CONTACT PICTURE REMOVER after running this app , plz go thru all your address book to chk if any contact is still having any picture , remove them manually Please read carefully - this is important if you are planning or have flashed the Fk09 the most ( and i hope the only ) evident bug in Fk09 is phone freezing , and becoming totally unresponsive if a call is received from or made to a contact in your phonebook with a pictures. The easiest method is 1.. download contact picture remover app from playstore and install it 2.. switch off your data connection 3.. run the app and it will remove all pictures from your contacts 4.. once you do this > go to settings > accounts > google > and tap the gmail account in which you have stored all your contacts > UNCHECK the SYNC CONTACTS option 5.. and thats it , you can now switch on the data Plz note from now on whatever contact you are gonna create in your phone , will only be stored in phone only and it wont get updated to your address book in gmail account , so plz keep it in mind Once a new leak or official OTA comes which has the above bug fixed you can start the contacts syncing again. , till then you wont be able to see the pictures of your contacts on ur phone.

Slightly OT. When I click on "Find New Content" and see "Irresistable Deals In Electronics, Gadgets, Mobiles, PC Hardware" thread with last post by "rajanmehta", I get little excited to see something Irresistable.

I was a tad bit busy with life - and honestly - this is something that any of us could organize After a quick interest check on facebook, I thought I should organize yet another Rimweb meet - for all A meetup at a unique place this time - A place where we could discuss about upcoming mobile techonologies - show our latest gadgets around - and even buy/sell (trade products). We've organized such meets in orphanages and coffee shops in the past - This time I was wondering if it would be awesome to host it at a neutral location which could double up as a networking hotspot for techies and geeks. Cameras, Phones, Laptops, Tablets, Dongles, Headphones, bypassing passwords - whatever is your query - we'll try to add in a jump. Sadikk and Vishal Sheth have already expressed interest in the event. I was thinking of organizing it in One of the following places your thoughts : 1. Hanging Gardens / Kamala Nehru Park 2. Mind blowing black friday deals have started in USA. Most of which we can't benefit due to logistics. Have seen 60" LED TV for $699 & 3rd gen Core i5 laptop, 6GB for $399. Crazy stuff. We never have such deals in india.

Good points brought up by RahulSid. We've organized such events in the past with CCDs and Orphanages and then a short visit to Pizza hut nearby for a meet. Guess an open air area - considering its a winter evening - would be ideal. Is it just people meeting up over a cup of coffee (?) or is it more formalised with presentations etc? To be more specific, what is the agenda? Its a place where people who discuss things with daily online get to meet others in flesh. Keeping the bon homie of this forum alive. This time we would have a small session called TekTalk - which might have a presentation - lasting about 20-25 mins tops @Sadikk with his gadget bunch would be able to show some crazy stuff there Agenda : It's a free meeting - come, meet, get to know people whom you have known only online How will the venue be? True that If the congression is anywhere close to the number of people we are expecting (the last meet having 14 people if i remember right) - any of the places rock. If it is going to be a formalised affair including introducing people to business models, then would buying/selling be involved/allowed? Regards Rahul Plus: The idea of two months notice sounds sensible since people would get a definite time to re-organise their lives just to be able to attend. It would be sad that just the short notice prevents someone from meeting up.

Consider to arrange stay (either lodging etc) of course at there own cost near by venue. It will increase the attendance. The Venue may be chosen nearby any local railway station, so that it is easy to the local and outstation persons to reach. If it is first week of Jan, count me. I am new Mumbai, so I want to see the city also by staying one or 2 days.

I think we should have max 2 probable dates so that everyone can plan accordingly. This way we also know how many will be attending and can finalised the venue as per number of attendees. CCD or such cafes are feasible only if attendees are less than 12 or so.

Wonderful thoughts I was thinking about the logistics. Rimweb as we know it has grown leaps and bounds. And today we have far many members than in 2007, it would be wise to organize it at a central location. Someplace like town (Churchgate and CST are equidistant from such a location) and all lines - Harbour, Central and western culminate there I could check if there's any couchsurfer who can allow a congression at his / her home as well - since that way all logistics are taken care of. @KanagaDeepan : I think its a good idea to keep it in Jan too ... will give enough time to get the logistics in place .
