So far, none of them got through with screen replacement in India... I had to either get the LCD for them or had to sent to Samsung U.S. In India, all the customers of mine got the same reply that the LCD is different & were returned the phone without screen replacement.. I tried going deep into this matter with a local repair guy.. Got all the variants, Sprint, Verizon, Us Cellular & i9300 open.. Guess what - found that all are having the same LCD - catch is the frame... They are not same... If the service center which manages to detach & get the same frame attached to new LCD - i think u can get it replaced with any S3 LCD - @ Kunal - That might be the case with you ... so guys - get in touch with same service center where Kunal got it done.. Bcoz getting LCD panel from anywhere else is hugely expensive. Its arnd USD 175 to USD 240 for diff models - Verizon at upper band. Hope this to clear confusion which many had and many will have but wish no one should not have.. (No cracks) but.. honi ko kaun tal sakta hai......

For past 2 days I have been using this phone. I had been in RCDMA all these years and my handset journey was HTC Hero-Nexus S - Galaxy Nexus. So automatically my comparisons would be based on these. PROS: 1. Size - really compact size. I would say ideal for persons who use voice and SMS a lot and occasional usage of others. 2. Screen size - For a compact phone the screen is really big at 4.3" 3. Screen quality - this was the only point I was worrying BEFORE buying this phone. Now I am very satisfied with screen clarity. The inbuilt wallpapers are sooo good. 4. Any GSM or CDMA is really a cool feature. Though I have not checked with CDMA sim, I hope that too would not be a problem. 5. It is in Android 4.1.1 Jelly bean. The phone is smooth and I found no lagging in normal usage. 6. Battery is good but not excellent. For your daily usage it should never let you down. But if you use 3G a lot you will need a battery back up. Since it has an in built battery, u need an external battery pack, on days when you are out using 3G for maps and other heavy browsing. For normal browsing and unlimited talking u can rely on this 2000 Mah battery. 6. Network reception is good. I was travelling some 40 kms in car and talking all through the journey. I did not have a single disturbance. 7. Call quality was really good. But my Galaxy Nexus was still louder 8. USSD codes, call waiting, call conference and all other GSM features are working, except Call Divert(which I will elaborate below) 9. 3G and wifi working well. 10. I love Motorola home screen 11. The phone looks good and like a premium phone. CONS: The only issue I am having with this phone so far is Call Divert. Since it is Verizon Global phone, Verizon does not allow call diverting outside its network. There is no menu for call divert. Even if we try the codes it says 'Call forwarding Disabled outside Verizon network'. Waiting to find solution for this issue. Please help me. Other than these I have not used much. If you have any query, please feel free to ask, I will check and inform you.

I would suggest you increase your budget to 11k and get the Samsung Tab 2 311 with wifi for complete peace of mind and reliability instead of these chines junk.

Neo N003 Neo have always been there in the background when JiaYu launch a new phone, or playing second fiddle to UMi. Neo N003 specification Development of the N003 seems to be slower than that of JiaYu’s and UMi’s phones, but according to the brand’s community forum, the N003 is set to launch in March! If this is the case they have done a great job of keeping spy photos from leaking, as we have yet to see any real photos of this phone. We do know the spec though and the N003 will launch with a 5-inch 1080 display, 2GB RAM, 13 mega-pixel rear camera and quad-core MT6589 processor running at 1.2Ghz. Why we like the Neo N003 To be honest we don’t know if we do like the N003. It appears great on paper, but without seeing an image of the phone it’s been a little difficult to get too excited about it. That said though, with a launch planned for next month we don’t have long to wait. Nubia Z5 The Nubia Z5 launched shortly after the Oppo Find 5 and features much of the same hardware. The phone is only available in China and through Nubia Experience stores, but if you have a chance to buy one take a close look! Nubia Z5 Specifications Nubia is actually ZTE’s premium brand for the Chinese market, and as the Z5 is the flagship phone, it shares a lot of the same features as the ZTE Grand S. The display is the same OGS 5-inch 1080 unit, the same Snapdragon S4 Pro CPU and 2GB RAM is in place, and the same 13 mega-pixel rear camera is used. From a design stand-point they are totally different, the Nubia offers a cast alloy white body, and features a red glowing home button. There is even a Titanium version available if you happen to be super wealthy. Why we like the Nubia Z5 It’s a classy design and they are rare as hens teeth. The features set and hardware isn’t bad either, although it is more costly than the ZTE Grand S and doesn’t offer much in the way of additional function. The list of actual physical phones you can buy now, or very soon ends here. The last 3 models on the list are still unconfirmed rumour phones, but we have enough evidence to know that their concepts are at least true! Vivo X5 Last year Vivo went from being a brand that many of us new of but didn’t really think about to becoming the manufactures of the worlds thinnest Android smartphone! Only later to have the title taken by TCL/Alcatel. The X5 though, has another world’s first title to claim. Vivo X5 Specifications The only physical proof of the X5 is this leaked photo of a 5-inch 1080 display. Take a good look at it as this could be the worlds first borderless display! The rest of the phone is currently unknown, but as the phone will be on sale in China only and the current X1 is a MTK phone, we’ll go ahead and say that the X5 will get a quad-core MT6589 processor with 2GB RAM! Why we like the Vivo X5 The X5 is could be the world’s first borderless phone! This is pretty special, and although it will only be available in China, the technology could make it’s way in to the next Oppo phone for 2014! Now that’s exciting! Xiaomi Mi3 Xiaomi rumours and leaks have begun already. We know the Mi3 is coming we just don’t know when. Xiaomi Mi3 specification The Mi3 is rumoured to have a 5-inch 1080 display, 2.5GB RAM, 13 mega-pixel rear camera and could possibly run a Nvidia Tegra 4 quad-core chip! Other than that we don’t know much else except it will likely cost 1999 Yuan ($320). Why we like the Xiaomi Mi3 The current 4.3-inch, Snapdragon equipped Mi2 is one of our favourite phones, I actually own one as my personal phone! I love the power, speed, battery life, great rear camera and the price. If the Mi3 is at least as good as the Mi2 but with a 1080 display I would be happy, but with the extra power and higher res camera It’s going to be a whole lot more! Zopo ZP960 Not much is known about this mystery phone from Zopo. Other than the specs don’t match the photo, but the leak appeared on the official Zopo Facebook page. Zopo quad-core specifications According to the specs the mystery Zopo will run a quad-core processor, get 2GB RAM and a 13 mega-pixel rear camera. White House responds to petition: unlocking phones should be legalized The recent ruling that effectively bans third-party phone unlocking has ruffled more than a few feathers, and the people have spoken with their electronic signatures -- 114,322 of them, to be exact. Now the petition to the White House, which asks that DMCA protection of phone unlockers be reconsidered, has finally received an official response, and it appears that it's for the positive. The author of the letter is R. David Edelman, Senior Advisor for Internet, Innovation and Privacy. "The White House agrees with the 114,000+ of you who believe that consumers should be able to unlock their cell phones without risking criminal or other penalties," Edelman writes. All told, the response matches that of the National Telecommunications and Information Administration (NTIA), which wrote a letter to the Librarian of Congress in support of extending the exemption last year. So what does this mean for us? Edelman states: "The Obama Administration would support a range of approaches to addressing this issue, including narrow legislative fixes in the telecommunications space that make it clear: neither criminal law nor technological locks should prevent consumers from switching carriers when they are no longer bound by a service agreement or other obligation." We're not going to see immediate change, but it appears that a chain of events is now in motion in which the FCC and Congress potentially play a huge role. We're not out of the woods yet, but it's relieving to see such a positive response -- along with a call to action -- from the government. That certainly seems positive, but with his statement "We've inherited 18 months of pipeline that we actually have to drain right now, while we're actually building the next wave of innovation and product lines" speaks a lot about the churn they are planning. it obviously means less focus on current devices and the "new wave of innovation" will be at the cost of devices currently in the market or coming up in next 6 months. Even since i used Photon, m a moto-fanboy but this certainly is no good news. Moto has also ditched a few handsets in giving upgrades and this surely shows there is a problem deep inside either with the fragmentation or the handsets lined up to be treated with priority

Skyfall (2012) - 4 star rating - I was not impressed when I saw this in the theatre. But a BD rip was another thing all together. It is one of the best Bond flicks now that I see it in hindsight. Brilliant sound (must see in Dolby 5.1) earned it the Oscar. Very realistic Bond. PS - Both reviews are for BluRay prints in a home theatre projector setup. Ratings would be otherwise because you can never watch in so much detail in any movie theatre.

I have found it best to first 'practice' by putting the skin on the Back Cover (after removing the back cover from the phone, offcourse). Once you find its perfect then move on to the actual Phone. Nothing to worry though. water doesn't go inside the phone unless you soak it in a mug or something. It takes 2-3 tries (reapply soap solution to remove skin and try again. most important is when it starts drying you have to remove any krinkles by using a card or hard edge and then using your hands on any curved portions. You have to wait a minute before you can start doing this since in the begining the soap is so slippery that the skin keeps moving here and there but just in a minute it starts getting a little sticky and you have to align everything at that moment and then keep pressing all the corners and using card to remove wrinkles etc. The end result is extremely satisfying though. I have nexus s with 100% perfect skin on it - you can't find there's anything from any angle of lighting!. Even though i no longer use that phone, sometimes i just take it out to look my handiwork
