I guess he is currently on GSM (Airtel) for his BB Torch also. If he's moving from BB Torch to Android being on same GSM network - it wouldn't make any difference as both BB and Android would be using the same data connections. Android's Exchange sync is equivalent to BB Mail services (supports push mail) - so he can definitely move to Android with similar or better email access. You might want to recommend him a QWERTY android phone.

[APP] DPI changer for Tabs and 5 inch devices This app is developed for the Note 800 but works on my tab and other devices. 1. Install both apps below 2. Open Xposed installer 3. Click install/update (let it run until it ask to reboot) before rebooting click the Modules tab at the top and check the box for xposed app setting 4 .Now reboot the tablet 5. Once rebooted go to Xposed App settings app 6. Find the app you want to change dpi and click on it 7. Click the switch button on (right side of screen. It should turn Green) 8. In the dpi box on the left side of screen change it to whatever u like. 9. On the top Right click save button to save changes and click Yes to restarting the app 10. Now hit the launch button beside the save button to launch the app.(repeat steps 8-10 until u find the size u like) Originally developed by Nop ph473 on xda-developers, so no credits to me. http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2101824 Ngpay is the app I use extensively and it skewed on my tab2, so discovered this wonderful app to safely resize without bootloops etc. Have also been helpful resizing Note II SecMMS.apk (messaging app) to other Galaxy devices. It can resize weather widgets too.
