Background: I've received a new Sprint HTC One on Wednesday evening, I unlocked it for GSM & about to sell this phone locally or make a sale thread over here, I even took photos of the phone to put up a sale thread of it. But thought of checking if I can get it working for RUIM, so post-poned of making a sale thread for a day(proved to be worth it). I already bought Reliance CDMA Pre-Paid SIM even before the item has reached me, as I bought this phone for myself but later(during the item in transit) I decided to sell. How It Happened: 1)Well I've put reliance PRL in the phone, it catched reliance signal, *228 gave me message that "Your device couldn't be activated" which is expected for a non-registered(MEID) mobile. Made the phone read from RUIM, put the RUIM in, it picked up reliance signal(I didn't know whether it use PRL file(NV) or SIM). It showed 'Digital Roaming' in status, I think this phone is still active on some one's sprint account, although I bought this as a BAD ESN. I dialed *228, to my surprise, I saw 4-5 messages like 'NAM is Updated' & phone was programmed OTA by Reliance, the phone rebooted immediately(on its own). All this was done on stock with latest firmware & rooted. After the OTA I checked the phone info in CDMA and I got new MIN, IMSI & some other parameters like MCC, SID are changed to reflect that the phone was indeed received OTA program from Reliance. 2) Since the RUIM(sim) I'm using is a new connection, I was asked by the sim vendor to dial 5909 to verify my details so that the services could be activated on the RUIM. But when I dial 5909 I got the IVRS message that I need to call Reliance customer service if I want to use their services. I flashed AOSP ROM & tried calling 5909, and again to my surprise it got connected & I was able to get my details verified, within few minutes services were activated on the RUIM(sim). What's Working: This is all done on Stock, rooted. So far, calls, text msgs(sending & receiving) working, I think data also working got 3G symbol displayed for some time(some packets are received & sent(checked the data information in the phone info section, just when 3G symbol is displayed I saw packets sent & received in the phone info section). But can't say for sure, because the RUIM(sim) got activated just couple of hours ago. Any Issues: Don't know If I should call this as issue but I'll let you decide & suggest me to get rid of this(although I'm working on it). As I said earlier in this post, the RUIM got programmed OTA while it was in 'Digital Roaming', it is still showing same thing 'Digital Roaming' & it will show Roaming warning whenever you call, although calls & text msgs are being charged as per Reliance plan on my RUIM only, no roaming charges. Here is the interesting part, if I stop roaming by going into Settings-->Mobile Data-->Roaming & selecting 'Home Only', the phone completely stops receiving signal. I don't why it still needs that Roaming part to be active even though it is not truly in roaming & I was charged as per Reliance plan on my RUIM only, absolutely no roaming charges. And there is no issue with GSM but with CDMA mode you get that 'Digital Roaming'. I hope some one experience shed some light on this & suggest a solution for this. Proof That Data Working:

Chennai express.. Be careful before you think. The director is confused which language to choose and made a cocktail which goes like this : E by yhdo ud Cjeuejfj Jdudeu Cup ebzlw Exactly, even I don't understand half of the dialogues and the entire movie. Now I realized how a company of person can ruin your imagination. Sent from my GT-N7100 using Tapatalk 2

I remember reading a report somewhere that HTC india imported approx. 5,000 HTC DNA & majority of them remained unsold due to unrealistic pricing. This one looks like meeting the same fate!

Hi i am using mtnl bb from past many years, Mtnl has taken good care of me always, but from past three months i am sick of a strange issue with my connection. Upon booting up my sterling sam 300 modem takes anywhere between half an hour to may be one hour to latch onto network, ( adsl keeps blinking all this while) But once it connects, it stays connected and doesnt disconnects or gives rto. I have got my line changed, local and remote pairs changed, Instrument and splitter all changed, but the issue is still there, for this reason I have to keep the power to the modem on all the time. Has my modem gone rogue or what's the issue. Thanks Sent from my SCH-R950 using Tapatalk 2

Listen this is what i want you to do . Scenario 1 If you charged customs that means the phone should have reached india at all means. Then the responsibilities lies with PPO and Bluedart If PPO confirms that they have shipped it , then you have to get hold of bluedart and confront them (Dont let go them easily sit in their office for hours and create scene) Scenario 2 File a dispute on ebay saying that the packet received was empty and no phone inside it ( No matter how reputed the seller is sometimes they cheat too) if you lucky you might get your amount back Scenario 3 Forget about everything and move on ... ( Dont doooooooooo this ) Checked the IMEI , the phone is still locked and not in use. in this situation it would be hard to find

^^^^ Your sid nid shows you are on reliance network, For you prl is not required for call and sms. you should get Akey from your seller or person who did registation . Akey generated from MEID may not be registered in RIM. Also in your attached photos, MIN is zero or your phone number, That may be the problem , min normally starts wth 1 or 2 and it is 10digit number you get thru OTA.

Quick tip for using HCC on phones which dont show keypad while activating on *228 Use the Add Wait feature available in dial-pad, screenshots attached for help. Sample dial string will be: *228;1;123456789;1 *228 - number of course to dial 1 - for choosing English option, can be replaced by any other language option 123456789 - number printed on HCC 1 - is for confirming HCC number that you have input Have used this trick on S2 and Galaxy nexus and works like charm. More tips: - Increase the screen timeout to 5 - 10 mins as the prompts will now show if screen shuts down - Put call on speaker mode / increase call volume, basically dont bring near ear coz the screen will switch off coz of proximity sensor and prompts will not come up. Hope it helps

you mean it can support 2 CDMA connections simultaneously ? if yes then its got a unique plus point not available in any other handset. Or do you just mean call on GSM, Call on CDMA and standard call waiting geature of CDMA? My nephew is using this phone now. I tested it and found the following: 1) you can use two CDMA lines simultaneously (talk on one, hold the other line). 2) you can use two GSM lines simultaneously (talk on one, hold the other line). 3) you can do conferencing between two CDMA lines. 4) you can do conferencing between two GSM lines. 5) you can not do conferencing between a CDMA & a GSM line (this question will obviously come to you). 6) you can use two CDMA lines and one GSM line (talk on any one, hold the other two lines). 7) you can do conferencing between two CDMA lines and receive a new call on GSM line (talk on GSM, holding the coference call). 8) you can not use two GSM lines and a CDMA line. While you are using two GSM lines, a new CDMA call will appear on screen but you can not pick this CDMA call. The new CDMA call has to go unattended. But the good thing is that you will be aware of the missed CDMA call. 9) No fourth line.
