3 pointsGuru Gopal ji I know of a charity for the underprivileged girl child, you can visit nanhikali dot org and contact them. I know for a fact that they are a reputable charity as they are part of the KC Mahindra Trust (I am a Mahindra group employee hence know it). They might have some use for your giveaway. And once again you rock. And if I might do a small appeal also, if you guys have 5 minutes do visit the above website and consider donating. Books and uniform for a girl child is only Rs 2500 per year, which is less than the cost of a cup of tea per day. The gratification you get when getting the girl's progress report card is far more than the monetary amount. Especially with the amount of girls being forced into trafficking and manual labor, keeping them in school is the only way to ensure they get a better life.

2 pointsAlso never rely on cheap USPS shipping rate indicated on eBay.com, if its $23, $34, $41, its definitely going to get held at your zone's customs office. If anyone wants to have USPS for direct shipping without any forwarding, go for sellers who ship for $49.50 or $60 or $71. The higher the USPS shipping charge, the safer delivery we get with or without customs clearance. Ebay.com examples are: Cport-wholesale and rangerange. Initially I used to place orders by USPS but then package used to return back. A nasty call follows from the customs office about various laws and penalties, eventually the seller or the sender also suffers in the deal. He doesn't know when he is going to get back his phone from India customs and the refund process is delayed too. HopShopGo is an easy alternative to PPOBOX, cheaper and safer. PPOBOX provides better service for those opting for professional package. Many of my business associates have business accounts with PPOBOX. Its wise to hop and shop between different forwarding companies for a smooth delivery and even logistics. ComGateaway is also a reliable company we have accounts with, slightly more expensive than PPOBOX. If I order handsets under Rs 10000 I make it PPOBOX mandatory, if its expensive package I will switch over to HopShopGo and ComGateaway. I have received intact parcels from HopShopGo and ComGateaway till now. Home Office with Samsung Note8

2 pointsHi, They ship either by FedEx or DHL Express. They will handle custom clearance DHL takes about 3-5 days to reach India. FedEx takes a bit longer. You should expect delays in customs for bulk orders. Insurance is mandatory, if you`re using HSG. It`ll be added to your shipping cost. Just make sure your package worth does not go over $2000. You`ll need a Import/Export code for that.

2 pointsItems which were listed for trade/exchange by "giving" members in this topic were removed earlier. The same principle applies to "wanting" members. Kindly do not request items with willingness to "Pay For It" as mentioned in some of the posts. This is a "Free Give Away" topic not buy-sell. If there are more then 1 request for a particular item, let the "giving" member decide whom he/she wants to give OR on what criteria.

2 pointsAnybody is interested in Palm Treo 650 GSM model. I have 2 phones one is in working condition and one is not working condition. 2 phones+one Battery+one charger, I will ship. It works on Palm OS. infrared, WAP, Bluetooth, SDcard support. It has no wifi facility. As I used get lot of Faxes every day, I got Nokia Communicator 9210 and using my Hutch Sim, which is enabled with 3 numbers (one number for voice, one number fax and one number for data) in good olden days, I used to send data (wordstar files) using data service to other computers equipped with fax modem. (still I can proudly say that, I am one of the rare customer of indian GSM user of fax and data facility on my sim) In the year 2004, Orange telecom Bombay has released Plam 650 and they gifted me one in the year 2005. I used for about 7 years and purchased a non working phone for using Battery and using the same till last year till I shifted to Nokia 9300i. To my knowledge this is first and last touch PDF indian released with fax capability. First touch PDF phone is palm 600 to my knowledge. Still working grate.

1 pointGetting the PPP username and pass to stick seems dificult with this model to some users, the parameters gets reverted to stock on every reboot it seems. Use the attached file and write it via either CDMA Workshop->Memory->NV Items->Write or use the free NV reader/writer program from here. After writing the file, re-write your own parameters with program and check after reboot. Download the file from here.

1 pointMTS started the sale of Wi FI enabled "REV.B" dongles in Kerala, named as "MBlaze WI FI". Now only post paid users will get "REV.B" 9.8Mbps speed. (Pre paid schemes are there, but they will get only "REV.A" 3.1 Mbps speed with these data cards). My cousin bought one. Rs. 2000 as dongle cost and monthly rental Rs. 724 + tax for 12 GB "REV.B" then unlimited in 1x speed. He told me this price is an introductory offer, actual price is Rs 2299 and Rs. 799 + tax. His dongle is not activated and will take 5 days to activate.

1 pointNever ever get anything shipping directly to india via USPS. They will charge 41.8% custom fee on declared value ( they apparantely have fixed charge of any electronic item if a package comes thru post). No matter what u do and whom to talk to , they will not negotiate on that and the item gets stuck in custom. Use package forwarder services like ppobox etc only. they are fast, trackable all the way to ur home and less expensive (usps shipping will cost more)

1 pointmain reason behind putting analog dvr is a cost factor. for all IP(Digital) setup we need NVR which is too costly for home use. or if only one camera is going to be used then recording time will be an issue. most of the ip camera save data on SD card, SD size = time of record. few cames are there , which saves data on USB drivers, but again cost increses . If he is on vacation for a month, then SD card is not sufficient . he may require bigger storage . so here NVR is require, NVR is too costly compare to analog DVR. in local market you can get a linux embedded dvr for 4k with 1 year warranty. in that you can connect 4 cameras, with audio. and you can add 2TB internal HDD for data recording. This DVR will have a net view function, also triggers a alaram and mail when configured correctly for unautorised access. Analog cameras starts for Rs. 300 , one can choose according to his room size or area to be covered. actually this subject is too vast and I can write full page info on it. So user is requested to analyse their requirement and budget, and get most out of the available tech. dont only go for analog or digital just for the sake of name. advance is not good always, we need to see our own requirements.

1 pointStellar would be really your best bet I believe on this budget. Battery backup, clarity and no heating. EDIT: Just recollected that Stellar has a special feature in what they call STARTER MODE. It simplifies menu navigation and individual icons are also bigger. It is for those people who find normal android usage a bit complex. Since it is for your mother , this could prove to be a very handy feature.
