I want this to replace the lcd and outer case and battery of my age old iPod classic 30gb which is in the self for the last one year. I love to upgrade HDD also in case it is given to me. Guys would love to give all of you if I had enough iPods. But I guess we all would agree that guru Gopal ji deserves it. He is the most generous member here and I wish to give my iPod to him. @Dipan I don't think there are good indian warranty CDMA handset which will fulfill all your listed requirement in 5-6K. Since you already know the drill for importing a handset, would suggest Samsung Galaxy Axiom OR Samsung Stellar, preference being for axiom for better camera/NFC. Both has 1.2Ghz Dual Core Qualcomm Krait processor, 1GB RAM, 4" Display, android jelly bean & massive 2100 mAh battery. Both also works on OMH SIM with data so no MEID registration should be necessary. Don't think there is any other phone with specs similar/better to axiom you can get at below cost. Total cost including customs+shipping should be around Rs 7,000 for Axiom. iShop international is giving total quote of Rs 7,195 with item cost Rs 5,604, international shipping Rs 425 & Duty/Taxes/Fees Rs 1,166. May end up even cheaper on Shop&ship as ishop duty/taxes are high. On practical Experience, I conclude my opinion: In urban area 1x better than EDGE. 3g is equal to EVDO rev.A. If you have assigned higher bandwidth of 7.2 or more on your 3g GSM sim it will be better than EVDO. In Rural Area though both s**ks. Always 1x and EVDO is much, much better than EDGE and 3g on any State/network.

1x is more stable compare to Edge but if you ask any GSM user, they will say edge is better , as he never used 1x. even compare to EV network to 3g gsm, ev users will say ev is better and 3g users will say 3g is better. here you are not comparing tech to tech, every one have their own views and uses, and every one says , what i am using is best !
