Purchased a Razr HD Maxx for my dad a couple of months ago from another forum, so I would offer a few tips: 1. If you want to use it on Reliance, then you need to cut your SIM to a micro-SIM size. Some shops charge Rs. 30 for this. 2. Data works by default on Reliance - no need to do anything special. 3. In the settings, there is a "International" mode, switch to that for usage in India. 4. You will get an update to update the system from 9.16.x to 9.18.x. But before you do that, please get the phone bootloader unlocked and also get root. There are instructions on other forums to do that. 5. Lot of bloatware from Verizon on the phone. I will get rid of that for my dad in the near future if Motorola does not come out with a 4.3 update soon. 6. Smartactions is a great app on the phone. Make good use of it to get even better battery life. 7. There are some issues with WiFi. We had to change our WiFi router to 802.11g (from b/g) for this to work. All other devices in the house did not have issues. This WiFi issue has also been reported at various places.

Yes, I received this comparison through WhatsApp from one of my friends, but that obviously was explicit with the 3-letter word, you know what.

@milindk Please do not spam the board with multiple posts of same content in different threads. One post for a issue is sufficient.

Sorry Guys, after posting this give away, one of the volunteer in my area brought to my notice that, a old age home requires a video calling phone. So I handed over the ominia phones to a Old Age Home situated at Hyderabad. I think everybody will understand. I thought that, the old age people can enjoy video calling with their relatives. In deed, I saw pleasure on the face of a old person, when he saw his grate grand son (small kid) on this phone today. I feel that, the phone has served it purpose in its last stage also. I am happy with this give away. The second non-working unit also I handed over to them, in case, any hardware problems, the spares can be used.

Bought Gionee L800 DualSIM Featurephone for Rs 1,856 for a relative. Official Specs >> http://gionee.co.in/?portfolio=l800-2 Buying Link >> http://www.ebay.in/itm/GIONEE-MOBILE-L800-1-Year-warranty-3000mah-battery-1-3-MP-/271267781053?pt=IN_Mobile_Phones&hash=item3f28d1d9bd&_uhb=1#ht_2034wt_1031 Reason for buying: Was looking for an economical, sturdy featurephone with good battery life at lowest possible cost. Gionee L800 was the best i could find. Why? humongous 3000 mAh battery. Largest i have seen in a featurephone at this cost. GSM Dual SIM, 2.6 Inch QVGA Display, MicroSD Card Slot (Upto 16GB) GPRS/Edge, Bluetooth, 1.3MP Camera, Opera Mini, Facebook, Twitter, Yahoo Messenger FM Radio, Torchlight 1000 Phonebook entries, 500 SMS. Initial Impression: Was skeptical that the battery will be real 3000 mAh capacity but the phone came with battery half charged & was put on without charging further. In 10 days, battery bar did not reduce at all though the usage was not high. I want to believe that battery life will be exceptional. Gionee claims 1 month standby time! Keys are large with good tactile feel. Voice call quality is great. Speaker is loud enough. GPRS/Edge worked good. Interface is nice with 4 way scroll pad button. Camera is terrible. LED Torchlight at the top (Usually where the headphone jack is located) is powerful & serves the purpose. Verdict: Could be your best bet if you're looking for a Dual SIM featurephone below Rs 2,000 with great battery life, large screen and all other features.
