2 points^^^^ Nokia making quality hardware??? That was some years back, my friend... I can say E71 was their last high quality phone.. Even the E90 was plagued with soo many issues like uneven rubber feets, low quality mics, not working secondary cam, cr@ppy paint job, etc... It stayed in service centre more than in my hands... Please DO NOT ask about low end phones too.. All friends might have seen people who bought C2-00 (their first REAL DualSIM phone) talking by holding the phone at backside on their ears. Lower end phones had very very bad earphone problems. X1 had good earphones and speakers but it has THE WORST network coverage, afaik... Nowadays I am using Motorola phones (RazrMAXX, RazrMAXX_HD) and their build quality and battery life is second to none... The only problem is their military grade encrypted bootloaders, but I have unlocked BL of MaxxHD and used SafeStrap Recovery in OG_MAXX for sometime... WP phones are already --- OK, leave it... But if you are adamant in trying WP, you are left with no other choice than Nokia... Good luck...

2 pointsThis method was discovered by Dan Rosenberg Just tested by me on XT912 working on reliance that too in NV_Mode. works perfectly without any issues.... just extract the below zip file and run the RUN.BAT with admin privilege It will root and install busybox on 4.1.2. but only works with Razr Maxx XT 912. and OS 4.1.2 Link :- http://vulnfactory.org/public/razr_blade.zip Copyright © 2012 Dan Rosenberg (@djrbliss) Step by step ... 1) first reboot the phone (to kill all unwanted apps running) 2) after fully boot process is complete. turn on USB debugging from settings (you know where it is) 3) connect phone to pc , 4) if drivers are not installed, then wait mostly they will get autoinstalled in windows 7 and above (or you can download from google) 5) after driver installation is finished. open the folder where you have unziped above RAZR_blade.zip 6) from razr_blade, look for RUN.BAT 7) right click on run.bat and select run an Administrator. 8) then just follow the on screen instructions (they are very clear) and complete the process of root 9) it will also install superSU and busybox ... 10) enjoy rooted XT912 on 4.1.2 for 4.0.4 you can use motochoper method.

1 pointagreed. Actually budget is not much of a problem if needed I can shell out around 20-25K but since I have little kid at home I don't want to take risk of new mobile getting damaged hence I am looking for phone with good hardware which should not broke easily unlike Samsung which stops working (experienced twice)

1 pointMotorola Project Ara - An Open, Modular Smartphone Hardware Platform This is groundbreaking & called real innovation. At least trying for it! Motorola does look like a google company now! They have been working on it for over a year and announced now on official motorola blog. Can't imagine a day will come when we can choose/design and opt/replace what hardware we want in a smartphone! Official Motorola Blog >> http://motorola-blog.blogspot.in/2013/10/goodbye-sticky-hello-ara.html Meet Ara. The design for Project Ara consists of what we call an endoskeleton (endo) and modules. The endo is the structural frame that holds all the modules in place. A module can be anything, from a new application processor to a new display or keyboard, an extra battery, a pulse oximeter--or something not yet thought of! Led by Motorola’s Advanced Technology and Projects group, Project Ara is developing a free, open hardware platform for creating highly modular smartphones. We want to do for hardware what the Android platform has done for software: create a vibrant third-party developer ecosystem, lower the barriers to entry, increase the pace of innovation, and substantially compress development timelines. Our goal is to drive a more thoughtful, expressive, and open relationship between users, developers, and their phones. To give you the power to decide what your phone does, how it looks, where and what it’s made of, how much it costs, and how long you’ll keep it. Here’s a sneak peek at early designs for Project Ara: Motorola is also working with Dave Hakkens, the creator of Phonebloks concept: Watch VIDEO We’ve been working on Project Ara for over a year. Recently, we met Dave Hakkens, the creator of Phonebloks. Turns out we share a common vision: to develop a phone platform that is modular, open, customizable, and made for the entire world. We’ve done deep technical work. Dave created a community. The power of open requires both. So we will be working on Project Ara in the open, engaging with the Phonebloks community throughout our development process, as well as asking questions to our Project Ara research scouts (volunteers interested in helping us learn about how people make choices). In a few months, we will also send an invitation to developers to start creating modules for the Ara platform (to spice it up a bit, there might be prizes!). We anticipate an alpha release of the Module Developer’s Kit (MDK) sometime this winter. Ara Scouts - Shape The Future of Project Era A phone designed for 6 billion people should be inspired by at least a few thousand. Motorola is inviting people across the globe to become Ara Scouts. Over the next year, you can collaborate with us on special missions that will shape the direction of Project Ara. Are you ready? Become an Ara Scout. A hundred of the most active scouts will receive Project Ara at no cost when it launches, and all scouts will receive an exclusive discount.
