Diwali is coming. You would be surely going to shop right? You will buy new clothes, get some firecrackers, make or buy sweets, clean up your house, and enjoy the festivity and the joyous atmosphere. Wouldn't you? We all would. I have a request to make. When you shop and come back avoid talking about your purchases in the ric/taxi in which you travel. The driver will feel bad because he can't buy the same for his kids. When you burst firecrackers, give some to your watchman so he can give it to his kids. You dont need so many anyways. When you ask your maid to clean the house stand besides her and help her with her work, she will be cleaning two houses this diwali. When you make some sweets give it to the kachra vala who comes to your house, so he may have something nice to eat for a change. We will surely have a Happy and a Prosperous Diwali, there are other people less fortunate than us, who won't. Don't make them feel that. Include them in your love. This diwali don't just increase Diabeties, pollution and your credit card bills. Increase smiles.

This was the first Lenovo phone that I bought. In comparison to previous Samsung phones, the overall build appears solid and is incredibly light. Screen The screen is as vibrant as it gets. I use a Galaxy Nexus and would say that the screen is definitely better than the one on my phone. Software/Apps- this is the only con I would mention for the phone. The phone has deep Chinese influence Though the language has been changed, the Chinese fonts appear pretty frequently(like caller ID). The phone has a Lenovo version of the OS and a lot of Google apps do not work on this. The play store was installed by the seller, but Google apps like Maps, Chrome , others will not work on it. Most other apps are working well though. Not sure how the seller installed the play store, but the play store keeps crashing time and again. Battery- My sister told me the battery lasts longer than the previous Samsung Continuum- but the phone doesn`t have EVDO yet, and is only on 1x and that could be the reason. Apart from the app issue, I think this is a pretty good phone to buy in this price range. P.S- any help on EVDO would be greatly appreciated :-)

Actually it won't as it will be only for gsm, but if it is having a cdma radio that to configured for rcdma, it will always catch cdma signals as r gsm is poor every place

^ ^ ^ Not an answer to your question but another question! Was google play store installed by the ebay seller on the phone or you have been able to root/install & make it work yourself? Is all the chinese stuff removed & phone is workable with what's left? Please post a detailed review about the phone in "Your Latest Hardware Purchase" topic OR a separate topic as this phone atleast on paper seems to be a great choice for CDMA + GSM Dual SIM android with very decent specs/price & lot of members would want to know!

By now everyone is using whatsapp type of messengers. And it is actually quite good and simple to use for normal people as it doesn't require creating a login/pass etc - just enter your phone number and its done in a minute. I have found all types of people using whatsapp who can't even use email. They send attachments and photos of bills etc and actually no longer need email. I don't think anyone is going to use BBM on a non blackberry phone. It's just going to dilute their brand exclusivity to the few customers they have left or to corporate guys using BBM groups for discussing projects and other confidential things.

Yes .. refilling it also takes no time if you know the right technique. I purchase the toner & refill it myself .. Believe me you can do it in 15 minutes once you know the technique. I bring its toner for 50 bucks (100g) which prints me 2500 pgs apprx .. Rs 50 for 2500 pgs .. damn cheap .. I used to refill it from outside but it took me 30 min of travel & 30 min of waiting time ... so instead i refill it myself If anybody needs technique PM me..
