3 pointsMotorola wants to tattoo a mic on your throat source: Apple patented iWatch name. Samsung patented metal body for smartphones. And guess what Motorola has patented now? A technology that tattoos a microphone on your throat, complete with power supply, antenna, receiver and even an optional display! According to the patent application filed with the US Patent and Trademark Office, this tattoo on the throat will act as a standard microphone that will pair with mobile devices over Bluetooth, NFC and ZigBee networks. The microphone will pick up vibrations straight from the larynx (or voice box in layman's terms) in the throat, thus eliminating the background noise that many calls suffer from and make for clearer voice quality during calls. Motorola's patent filing says: "The electronic skin tattoo is capable of receiving an initialization signal at the controller and from the MCD (mobile communication device) to initiate reception of an audio stream picked up from the throat region of the body for subsequent audio detection by the MCD under an improved signal-to-noise ratio than without employing the electronic skin tattoo." The filing says that the tattoo can be applied on animals as well and can be embedded into a collar or band (both flexible and stiff) that is worn around the neck. And that's not all. Motorola's throat tattoo will double up as a lie detector too! The patent filing says: "Optionally, the electronic skin tattoo 200 can further include a galvanic skin response detector to detect skin resistance of a user. It is contemplated that a user that may be nervous or engaged in speaking falsehoods may exhibit different galvanic skin response than a more confident, truth telling individual." This is certainly one of the most unique ways of tapping into the world of wearable computing, which is witnessing a huge interest, thanks to Samsung and Sony's smartwatches and Google Glass.

2 pointsThe analysis is good but it missed out on one point : Who can actually take advantage of the plan ?- say a person who has a billing of about 2000 already can happily get a iPhone 5s for about 1k more. Also it does not mention the resale value of the phone after 2 years. I think a person can get abt 10k on the phone after 2 years( of course it depends on the condition of the phone ) Sent from my GT-I9500 using Tapatalk

2 pointsThe scheme is available only in cities where Reliance has 3G service. so not for cities like Bangalore. There is no restriction on the handset or the SIM. The handset comes with Indian warantee. So, if the SIM is used with present handset and the iPhone 5S is sold (may be to someone in Bangalore or similar other city), in boxpack for around 50-51k and the money is invested in a annuity deposit (reverse EMI) of 24 months, at present rates, one would get around 2300 per month. so for about 800 p.m. one gets can get unlimited voice, unlimited data and unlimited sms (or 6000 min, 3000 sms & 5 GB data at 3G speed)

1 pointHi, I've got this phone Verizon S4, I know it is Unlocked for GSM use internationally, I inserted GSM SIM on this device and it's working perfectly. I am not able to use CDMA OMH sim from Reliance and MTS in this phone, whenever I insert sim from both of these providers I get error message as below : "SIM Card not readable, sorry this sim card is not readable please contact your wireless service provider." followed by another message which says "Invalid SIM Card" although, both of the Sim are working and fully functional in my Verizon S3. However, when I insert my BSNL CDMA EVDO sim in this device, it recognizes it and I am able to get network and calls and might be sms (not tested), but no data on it. Any of gurus have any experience with it? How do I get CDMA OMH Sim working with it? Please advice. Thank you in advanced.

1 pointMods , I don't know whether this is allowed at Rimweb or not ..but just a informative thread to discuss abt hackintosh'es First of all i have a hackintosh at home ..and i have been running since Mac Os Tiger was released .So i am quite experienced. Most of the people are aware of this. because most of us on rimweb are Tech-savvy and ready to do experiments! Q : So basically what is a hackintosh ? A : Its is a Normal Computer Running Mac OS X Q: But its only for Apple Computers , Right? A : yeah , developers (aka Hackers ) mod the bootloader and make it run on a normal pc. In India ..People always flaunt there Apple Hardware , iPhones, iPod ...and people crave for the Macintosh operating system .. and believe me mac os is more fluid , more constructive and runs well on older hardware too! ( without lagging) if u are ready to experiment and a person who wants new challenges then i think it is the best project for summer or pass time TECH STUFF : 1) You can only run mac os x if u have a CPU which has SSE2 instructions : Link to what is SSE instructions 2) If u have a compatible graphics card ..Even if u dont have one ..its ok but u won't have Full QE/CI QE/CI = Quartz exterme / Core Image ..For more info please go to google 3) Patience ! Then u just have to follow intstructions.. I am tired writing big post there ..because this topic infinite time ..to write EDIT : IF u want me to help you Please provide me a detailed specs list via this software LINK

1 pointHTC UK has just announced the Gramohorn II, an unusual 3D-printed speaker dock for the HTC One. This audio enhancer looks like a modern art interpretation of the classic gramophone speakers used in the past. It was created by the British designer Justin Wolter during HTC's “Here's to Creativity” campaign, which celebrates the company's 17 years of "innovation and breakthrough in the mobile industry". 1 pointYou cannot increase the "physical" RAM on smartphone. It's still not modular & upgradeable like PC. But you can increase "available" RAM through rooting / removing bloatware apps & using certain RAM management apps.

1 pointNo worry you can go ahead with dealer's warranty. Few months back brought a SONY Bravia 32" LED from ebay.in. it is nine thousand lesser than the market price. The product is from Malaysia. No Indian warranty included. If the product is in Dealer's warranty, if something happens product would be packed back to the dealer's address if the owner want. But it is only include the repairing charges free not the parts as I read in their terms and conditions and yes it can also repairable anywhere in India of their respected showroom. So, in my opinion buy it with hassel free. Who cares the one year Indian warranty. If some thing happened in one year, just think the discount what you got from the dealer is spend in the repairing Triggered from Transformer 300 using Tapatalk HD

1 pointNo ! Never ! Yes it does as normal, but no guarentee well, it has been reported that the connection speed is good is some parts of the country, and for users with Cable/DSL, etc., it doesnt seem to be a good option. For me, the connection speed is only comparable with a dialup. Yes, its kilo bits per second, which means about 14 kilo bytes per second.
