9 pointsSteps for Diagnostic Mode and getting Reliance CDMA 1. Install drivers and unlock the bootloader and root the device. I use Unified_Android_Toolkit (link : http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2525026 ) 2. Get the MSL/SPC code Here are the steps : 1. Connect your phone to your computer, with USB Debugging enabled. 2. Open a command terminal, change directory to wherever you have the Android SDK's platform-tools installed. 3. Enter "ADB devices" to ensure your device is properly connected. This should print your device's serial number. 4. Enter "ADB logcat" to print the device log. At this point the terminal window will start vomiting up tons of information. Wait for the scrolling to stop and then continue. 5. Now, on your phone, enter the dialer and type *#*#3282#*#*. 6. Select "LTE/Edit" again. 7. At this point the terminal on your PC should spit out a few more lines. A few of them will look like this: D/QC_RIL_OEM_HOOK(18638): sendOemRilRequestRaw returns value = 10 V/LG_SVC_ITEMS(18638): length =6 responseBytes=REMOVED itemValue=****** D/LG_SVC_ITEMS(18638): getCommands commandId 200 = ******-END D/LG_SVC_CMD(18638): itemID = 200, Value = ****** Where the "*" values are the digits to your MSL. You can ALSO install CATLOG from playstore and it will show up the SPC/MSL code using the above steps. 3. In the download link below after unrar you will get a folder Nexus 5 Reliance, it contails all the files needed. Install Lg United Mobile Driver file provided. 4. Put your device into FASTBOOT mode (Volume down key + Power) and use the following command : fastboot boot boot.img. The device will reboot itself and you will see homescreen. 5. To open DIAG MODE : adb devices (you should see it shows device as connected and serial #) adb shell su setprop sys.usb.config diag, adb Nothing will happen on device but you would see the pc is busy installing various drivers and in Device Manager-àPorts (there will LGE AndroidNet USB Serial Port (ComXX)) 6. Connect DFS to the device (You have SPC code and port setup already with you) 7. Change the parameters for Reliance (assuming all knows what needs to be done) 8. To make sure EVDO settings gets written AND they don’t revert back to stock, use the LG.txt file and write it with Free NV reader/writer progam provided. Credit to this goes to rimweb user KanishkGandharv (link : http://www.rimweb.in/forums/topic/36320-sprint-lg-optimus-g-evdo-solution/ ) 9. You would be able to dial *228 and hear Reliance IVR welcoming you on the network 10. Get the MEID registered and you are good to go!!! 3 pointsHey all , i have been trying to upload approximately 1.2GB of the latest software for USSC note 2 , from past 2 hours , uploads are failing at MEDIAFIRE. I wanted to provider full rooted deodexed debloated rom , with proper wifi fix uploaded to MEDIAFIRE will post links in the morning , that one folder will have all the required files , be it latest su , latest cwm , latest TWRP and stuff EDIT : How to Install latest 4.3 deodexed MK3 ROM on USSC Note II NO Radio update - as i found ME2 gives better speeds than MK3 How to debloat it How to fix broken WIFI How to Fix Root Please note taking the OTA is not gonna pose any problems to us but to US users its a huge thing as upon rooting the OTA due to KNOX they will lose their warranty the real culprit is the new bootloader , 4.3 also updates the bootloader the below mentioned process wont update the BOOTLODER at all hence its safer and will be ultimately useful to run other scripts , and stuff later on the links below after unraring will give you a folder called MK3 , which are 3 files + 1 Folder ( this again has 3 files inside ) PUTLOCKER and ZIPPYSHARE Links - all 200Mb split the folder has following content - 1 ...Latest 4.3 MK3 deodexed rooted rom - t0lteusc_signed_112713_222434.zip 2....Latest debloater script - MK3-MEG-DEBLOATER.zip 3....Devil kernel - Devil2-1.5.0-t0lte-DUAL-20131124_2.zip 4....A folder named - if you lose root then this folder conatins A...latest SU - UPDATE-SuperSU-v1.80.zip B...Latest CWM Touch recovery - recovery-clockwork-touch-6.0.4.5-r950.zip C...Latest TWRP Recovery - openrecovery-twrp-2.6.0.1-t0lteusc.zip INSTALLATION Of 4.3 MK3 Rom for USSC Note II SCH-R950: put the top 3 files ( rom , debloater script and devil kernel ) in phone memory 1.. reboot into recovery 2.. make a backup 3.. wipe cache , dalvik, do factory reset and wipe system 4.. flash ROM zip 5.. once completed , flash Debloater zip 6.. MOST important - BOOT the phone now People who have taken the OTA and want to uase debloated setup then they should just root their stock and boot in recovery and flash the debloater zip. or if they want decodexed debloated rom ( which is a big help if you want to add mods later then ) they should flash the rom and then debloater zip only . 7.. set your phone up , add your accounts and set up various settings and all 8.. reboot into recovery 9.. flash the Devil kernel now - the kernel needs to be changed as with the stock kernel wifi doesnt work , but with devil everything works like a charm 10.. reboot phone , download titanium backup and remove more apps - please mind that the Rom doesnt have Gmail so you ll need to download latest gmail from play store There are chances that you may lose root access after one of two reboots , so if that happens do the following to REGAIN ROOT ACCESS Put the three files that are found inside the *if you lose root then* folder inside your SD card or phone memory they are latest CWM , latest TWRP and latest SU 1... reboot into recovery ( i am considering you are on TWRP ) 2.. flash the CWM Touch recovery and in the reboot option hit Reboot recovery 3.. you will straightaway reboot into CWM Touch recovery now 4.. flash the SU file as zip 5... flash the TWRP recovery to get your TWRP back and thats it now you have done it all - if it bricks your phone then i am in no way responsible , you did it to urself Big shoutout to greatest guy in NA7Q at Team us cellular forums - i have merely accumulated his stuff and uploaded to different hosts for your guyz's convenience

2 pointsHigh end specs on paper is one thing. But the most important thing we forget is how good is the network capability of the phone. In terms of catching the signal in poor network areas, call quality (voice clarity on both ends) and frequency of call drops. They mention everything but always nothing about network quality. So, if possible, check that out or else, go for a little lower specced good brand phone.

1 pointTata programs their server in such a way that these recharges are allowed only for wireless area protocol (WAP) and gets blocked for TCP, thus mobile internet is possible with these recharges but as and when tethering is attempted, it deducts from the main balance, the internet plan gets overridden.

The phone has a 5 MP auto focus back camera with LED flash. The camera supports HD Video recording. The dual-SIM phone is 3G and Wi-Fi capable. 1 pointI have seen other people struggle on this forum to get Data working on LG phones like in This topic. Basically the issue is that whenever you write EVDO data settings [manuall or dump] it reverts back to original Carrier specific values. Others try to fix this by writing NV items, but there is a very simple way of doing it on Viper, Optimus G, F7 [Others can please confirm the process different handsets and we can have a single solution thread] For LG Viper: - Install LGProvisioning.apk [App: LGProvisioning.apk] - Open the Application - Select Data-Lg> CDG2 Data Settings> PPP Carrier> undetermined Visual Aid: Once this is done your changes for EVDO settings will stay. While programming LG phones you get two { or sometimes three ports} - Serial Port is for NAM settings - Diagnostic Port if for Data settings - GPS port is used-lesser for us. Correct me IF wrong for aforesaid. For LGOG: The LG Provisioning App crashes on LGOG . But no fear, its even simpler on LGOG. From Dialpad dial 3845#*970# Then Choose data > PP carrier > undetermined The above code is kind of generic and is model number specific, so for LG F7 [uS780] its 3845#*780# Random Tips: - *228 is blocked on Viper, So may be you can try *22802 and do the activation. But this sometimes creates issue and Activation process does not complete on backend. Later when you try to activate EVDO you run into all sorts of trouble like "Your phone is not activated" reply message when you try to activate EVDO via SMS. I guess the only way is "Censored" - For LGOG *228 works but does not bring up dial pad , even with the Wait trick. So its not possible to use HCC . What you can do is [will try my best to explain] -Create a "Invalid contact" with 1 as a phone number or create a contact with *228 -Dial *228 -While the *228 lady is singing welcome to reliance bla bla la la... hit home button and go in contact and dial the "Invalid contact" -The screen will show some kind of busy circle and the second call will drop. -Pull don't the notification bar and go back to the original *228 call, now it will show dial pad. voilà. Disclaimer: The above information is to the best of my knowledge, other can add/delete/edit with the right information. Try at you own risk, I am not responsible if you add another brick in the Wall.

1 pointFor non dial pad phones, you can add pause n insert keystrokes before dialing... For ex *228,,1,,(9 digit code) Where comma stands for 2 sec pause This has worked successfully in s2 Sent from my SCH-I535 using Tapatalk

1 pointIf you can wait for awhile then its worth waiting for MOTOROLA Moto G. Its 8gb usa model price is roughly 10k. It has quad core, 1 gb ram, good battery, attractive looks. Sent from my GT-I9100 using Tapatalk 2

1 pointAgreed but sometimes these have landed me in ditch If you check the RSN activation status [ODR RSN To 53737] after using such codes you get replies like: - Error! This phone has not been otafed. - Handset status not Found. So personally I have made a rule not to use such code unless someone confirms XYZ codes work perfectly on ABC handset.

1 pointThanks for sharing to topic OP. Changed the topic title from "LG Phones Data Issue" to "Tutorial: Provisioning Data & EVDO on LG CDMA Android Smartphones". Just for better & easier search access.

1 pointI feel go with asus n13u router n install dd wrt custom firmware n then options are limitless.. You get a full fledged Linux environment n you can connect external hdd too.. Got torrents, you can install transmission. I've just installed dd wrt n it was quite simple... Getting up with transmission should be equally easy... You'll get this router for max 2000 Just check on various sites... I got it for 1900 on flipkart but it's no more there at same price. Sent from my SCH-I535 using Tapatalk
