HSG will ship upto 5 handsets new or old in one box, sometimes they label the contents as cellphones and sometimes as "pc-parts". The ideal benefit of HSG's carrier DHL is that they immediately notify us if the package is detained by the customs department. And they will themselves arrange for CHA Sunil D'souza in Mumbai and get it freed along with the customs challan. So there is no apparent risk in shipping by HSG, if at all, the shipment can become little costly.

great news for us - now if only he could fight piracy in india by cutting prices by 2/3rd - 3/4th for all ms software it would be worth celebrating! why 2/3rd you may wonder? because that's the PPP between india and america [the ratio is 3-4 x depending on cost of living in delhi/mumbai vs rest of the country] according to the world bank stats the problem with us is that just beacuse a ceo of a global company is born indian does not imply any change in corp policy that would benefit indians imagine if the new ceo was chinese - he would have immediately incentivised schemes to get chinese users to switch to licensed software e.g., i think a legal copy of windows7 or 8 costs about rs. 5-10 k? so how many people are going pay almost a third the cost of their pc to upgrade? yet in mumbai alone, you can get the pirated one installed for rs. 800 [xp to win7] now imagine instead of charging $100 for upgrading, ms charged just rs. 1,500 [$25] for india many more people with pirated os would be willing to go legal at just double the cost

This looks cool! New Firewater S-OFF Tool Will Unlock Any HTC Device In Moments! Including (but not limited to) newer HTC phones like HTC one, Droid DNA, One s, One Max and many others! Source Official Firewater Website For Download & Instruction >> http://firewater-soff.com/instructions/ Like most OEMs, HTC likes to lock down the devices it sells to the general public, but maybe you like a little more freedom. That means an exploit is required to get S-OFF status. The new Firewater S-Off tool can manage that for any (or at least very nearly any) HTC device, even newer HTC One phones. The tool comes courtesy of developers beaups and fuses, and it's completely free for personal use. Just download the files and get to work. The website has a full walkthrough of the process. There are some prerequisites that need to be taken care of first, though. Here is what that entails... Prerequisites Working adb on your PC. Yes, that means OS X, linux, Windows, etc. are all supported. HTC drivers installed and working HTC sync removed (not closed – REMOVED) All other phone software removed or disabled (Samsung Kies, PDANet, etc.) A working internet connection ON YOUR DEVICE - wifi, 3g, 4g, etc. are all supported. There is no way around this requirement, don’t ask. USB debugging enabled on your device Your device must be HTCDEV unlocked/rooted or have a working temproot. A temproot that works with many modern (not all) HTC devices is provided on the website. Do not attempt to run firewater from a terminal emulator on your device. You MUST use adb along with a PC. A supported device. firewater *should* work with most modern QUALCOMM BASED HTC devices, including (but not limited to) the htc one, droid dna, one s, one max, and many others.

Root your phone via adb, install this zip from sdcard http://www.androidfilehost.com/?fid=9390375540264796363. Its MA1 4.1.2. And if there is data problem only for Reliance then flash the 4.0.4 Odin tar file 3 times when the phone is on 4.0.4.

Programming is one time, custom Rom installation is not programming. By your above statement you proved that you have no clue about flashing devices. I suggest you stay stock and get the phone programmed FOR now. Learn about rooting devices, custom recovery installation & everything related to modifying any phone. The reason in saying this it's only to prevent you from BRICKING your device to a point of no return. After this your 600$ software is of no use. Sent from my LG-LS980 using Tapatalk

Actually I wished Sundar Pichai (also indian by birth) who is now VP Android, Chrome to become CEO of M$ and do what Stephen Fl0p has done to N0kia earlier, to M$ now -- That is Degrade M$ to trash and sell it for dirt cheap to his old employer Google. Actually even M$ was once very very interested in Sundar Pichai, but got frightened by their own poison and may be for safety they have gone with their own staff. M$ baj gaya??

Hello All, Finally after a slight delay , got the package in hand today. As mentioned earlier this was my first time with HSG and DHL and I must say it was a very good experience, all things considered. The package containing 2 iphone 5 which I bought for 450$ reached HSG on monday 27th Jan. I choose the express service instead of standard as it was just 3-4$ more and shipping time was 2-3 days less. Item was dispatched thru DHL the next day i.e 28th with expected delivery date on today i.e 3rd Feb. The item reached customs on 30th night time and it took sometime to get it cleared. I finally got confirmation that its been cleared after manual inspection and dispatched from mumbai DHL hub to pune on 1st Feb. Now to the good news most of you might be waiting to hear.. they charged custom fee on the actual invoice value instead of the indian MRP and only at 7% (not at 10-11% as few ppl told me earlier). My item value as shown in the invoice which was incl in the package was 450$ or about Rs 28500/-. Custom + Clearence fees levied was Rs 2485/- which can be calculated roughly as 7% of the amount + Rs 350/- flat clearance fees. One thing to note here is that the paypal invoice generated by the seller was incl in the package and custom ppl surprisingly honoured that. One more thing I would like to inform is about the shipping weight. As u know HSG catergorises in 1kg instead of 500gms/1lbs for its price slots and for 1st kg fees is 24$(28$ for express). However they dont overcharge by mentioning high volmetrci weight. Instead what was indicated as 2lbs in UPS was indicated as only 0.5kg by HSG. So I'm sure in almost every case ur package weight will not go beyong 1kg mark. All n All, I am truly happy about the first experience and will most definately keep on using this service , mainly when getting more than 1 item. Cheers!!!

Here I am posting my full experience from start to end... I had filled DS-160 for all 3 of us online by myself with all the relevant data. I had also mentioned name of my Indian friend, who is now an US citizen & also mentioned that I would stay with him n then go for holiday. He had sent me an invite too n mentioned that expenses would be borne by myself. OFC appointment was on 30/Jan/2014 at 10.30 am I reached there around 10.15 n they checked my DS-160 confirmation with my passport. There was a minor mistake in my son's form so they asked me to do the correction n come back. There was one cyber cafe named HI-TECH just adjacent to the building n they had all the infrastructure to do these VISA stuff as well as locker to keep our stuff. I had to pay 200 Rs. for correction n printout. For locker usage, they charge 100 Rs. It was very basic service. They will accept the stuff in bag n seal it n keep all the bags in 1 single cub board. They wont give us keys as keys are not allowed. I went in Q again & was taken inside in 15 mins. Though I had my cousin to take care of my kid so he didnt come inside with me, but other people were bringing the kids inside. It was clearly mentioned in confirmation mail to not to bring kids below 14 yrs but still many were bringing. OFC process for myself n wife was done in hardly 15 mins from entry to exist. They took our photos n finger prints. Thats it. For kids, they pasted the photo that we took with us on wall n clicked its photo. Actual interview was on 31/Jan/2014 at 7.30 am. I reached there by 7 am n there were already lot of people around I think 200. They started the Q at 7.05 n took inside by 7.20 itself. I took with my our passports n confirmation page along with a box file with all original docs viz my 3 yrs ITR, 1 yrs bank statement, real estate ownership docs, qualification certificates for both of us, birth certificate of my son, my client's list with phone nos., marriage certificate, our sebi registeration cerfiticates, any some other profession related docs. Even here, people were taking there kids inside. I had not brought my son with me. Inside there was a waiting area in open but with shade for around 200-300 people. Our number came at around 8.05 They again took our finger prints. We proceeded at window no 37 when instructed to do so. Below was conversation between us & consulate ( not in specific order. i m typing as i am remembering) 1. You have never travelled out of India & why do you want to go to US a. My wife replied: after marraige she was pregnant & then child was small. Now that he is 6 yrs, we are willing to go out of India. 2. Why US only a. We wish to start with US. US being very good country with lot of tourist attractions. 3. So would you go to other countries like Singapore a. I replied, yes definetely. We have already made our list & US is 1st. 4. You are going with some tour operator or by self. a. I replied by self 5. What all places you plan to visit a. I replied places that we had planned in east cost. 6. Looking at my wife, she asked, so, you are a stock broker. Why did u select this as your profession a. She gave relevant answer Then the consulate was just looking at screen n typing something n she told : YOUR VISA HAS BEEN APPROVED... HAVE A NICE TRIP In all this, she didnt demand a singe doc. In all, I feel, its just our confidence & presentation along with the data that we fill in DS-160 that matters. We were not at all nervous n replying confidently.. This conversation took place for harldy 2 mins n we were out by 8.10. Now just waiting for my passport. It should be there in couple of days. I hope it is for 10 yrs n not 6 months. From what I read, they issue it for 10 yrs only but then some people told me that it may be of 6 months. Once in hand, will book tickets. Before I book, wanted to ask if someone has experience of Kuwait Airways. It has cheapest tickets @ 1.32 lacs for all 3 of us Should I go to Kuwait considering there are lot n lot of negative reviews? All the other airlines are starting from 1.80 lacs but not refundable. Refundable are from British or Americal airways n costing around 2.2 lacs. Hope most of the things are clear n this thread helps other people to get some hands on before applying for visa.

Sir i am on 4.3 can u let me know how to switch to NV mode instead on NV,RUIM R530's MEID needs to be registered, but not programmed. Before programming it on Reliance, open DFS and goto NV tab and download R530U.nvf file from DFS server, re flash factory NV items, then program it on Reliance. NAM may not stick easily, may require quite an attempts. For RUIM to NV mode change use any CDMA pc software, spc=000000 and use 16 digit password of R970. Setting this phone on Reliance is little tricky (like Axiom) so as always, its our own responsibility to achieve success.

For who have accidently tried to downgrade from 4.3 on USC R530 to 4.1.2/4.1.1, it will show error in Odin mode screen and when the phone starts, it will get stuck on "firmware upgrade encountered an error", so in this case just flash CF-autoroot.tar via odin again and phone will be back to normal. For those who have tried to downgrade modem say LG1 or LK then phone will boot normally but radio partiton will not work (baseband unknown) so in this re-flash MJA modem.tar and do RTN reset. Data will not work in either cases but phone will work as usual again. If you still want data, switch it over to NV mode and data just works on 4.3 !!
