Sprint Moto X & any Moto G Flashed to Reliance CDMA FINAL Photo Tutorial Updated:- 08/04/2014 New Method Works 100% Follow easy to use , Modified Photo Tutorial http://www.slideshare.net/hambarde/moto-g-ver3final _________________________________________________________________________________________________ Tested on Verizon and confirmed to be working on Boost model. 1) First we need working wifi connection on phone 2) Then an APK from this link >> http://www.mediafire.com/download/i038c12rrdcbtlj/SPCUtility.apk 3) Allow this MSL app to use WiFi, 4) It gives you SPC, [Works on Verizon and Boost both] [Also works with sprint Moto X] 5) for boost Moto G and Sprint Moto X ##diag# works, but dose not work for Verizon. 6) For verizon Diag , Turn off mobile, remove usb cable, and Press both vol key + power button. 7) As soon as you leave these keys , one menu will pop-up. 8) use vol down keys to select BP Tools then connect use cable. 9) then press vol up . Phone will boot normally with DIAG turn ON. 10) for Boost ##diag# require SPC, which you will get it by SPC apk. 11) now PC will search for drivers (even latest moto driver pack dont have drivers for this) 12) attaching drivers for moto g DIAG. (install it manually) 64Bit Drivers | 32Bit Drivers 13) Use DFS, send SPC. and Put phone in Offline-A mode 14) then you need to change phone and min number to any 1234567890 to change PRL 15) till that time PRL wont change, 16) From DFS you can write AKey. 17) But for data need to use DUMP file, 18) you can use CW nv item write and write DATA DUMP, use free NV Item writer from CW http://www.cdma-ware.com/workshop/nv-items/NV-items_reader_writer.rar (get CW3.6 Dump after registration) here also need to put phone in Offline-A mode before writing DUMP to phone 19) after writing all above, go to DFS and change Min and MDN to ZERO so you will be ready for activation (*228). 20) As you always do - Hit Like UPDATE :- If phone is on 4.3, then you should first update to 4.4.2 then do above steps, other wise you need to redo data settings and might have to flash PRL again. These official driver dont work, use above 32bit or 64bit drivers Update : 19/03/2014 1)32bit Drivers mention in point no -12 are tested on WinXP 32bit and on Win7 32bit 2) 64bit Drivers are tested on Win7 & 8 64bit. 3) After factory reset, Min and akey stays as it is, But need to re-configure DATA and PRL. 4) One Click update to 4.4. for boost works perfectly from fastboot mode. Install the following: Titanium backup Root Explorer BusyBox APN Backup & Restore Once busybox is installed select install and reboot, DO NOT RUN any for the apps for now. Data used to work on all modes [CDMA NV, RUIM & GSM] with ZV7, ZV8 & ZVA. With the G2 on KitKat 4.4.2[ZVC] data either worked on GSM SIM or CDMA NV, RUIM data does not work, it says "Service Disabled" on Lockscreen. I have managed to get Data to work on both CDMA NV and GSM SIM, meaning you can switch between networks with data working on both without rebooting the phone. To be frank its a very simple trick anyone can do. Below is a noob friendly tutorial, just follow step by step. NOTE: Since the names of the apps are too long im gonna use short form of the same to make this easy for me. Titanium Backup = TB Root Explorer = RE APN Backup & Restore = APNBR VERY IMPORTANT: Switch the phone to GSM/UMTS mode, At this point your phone should have a APN saved and Data working on it. This also means CDMA NV data will not working since the GSM is working. Run TB and goto backup/restore, look for APNBR. Press and hold APNBR till you get a popup menu, in menu select "Convert to System APP" Once the APNBR is converted to system app it should reflect in red as shown. Run RE and go to /system/app/ folder Look for APNBR app as shown Press and hold to get secondary menu, select move, you might get a Warning about system being read only, do you want to remount as read-write, select yes. Go back to system folder and look for priv-app & move the APNBR apk to that folder. Now run APNBR, you might get a warning about APN can not be restored or deleted bla bla bla. just select ok. Use the top right corner menu and select "Disable ICS Check". Select Backup APNs It will tell you to name the backup, just leave as it is or name it according to your choice. Now that your APN for GSM is backed RUN APNBR and select Delete APNs and press ok At this point your GSM data will stop working, Now switch to CDMA/LTE in network mode and since GSM APN is missing your CDMA data should kick in. To get the GSM DATA back again, switch back to GSM/UMTS and run APNBR and Restore APNs, your GSM DATA will kick in instantly.

UPDATE: Please hold on to flash TWRP before someone finds a better way. As of now Download mode and TWRP wont work at the same time. Once you flash TWRP using flashify app, it wont boot to the custom recovery unless the phone is downgraded to ZV8 aboot. But this will break Download Mode. So if you need to use Download mode, flash ZVC Radio to fix download mode, but this will break recovery this time. Inorder to use TWRP, you need to downgrade aboot again. WARNING: IF YOU DOWNGRADE TO ZV8 ABOOT WITHOUT FLASHING THE TWRP, IT WILL RESULT IN HARD BRICK!! RECOMMEND NOT TO TRY THIS UNLESS YOU ARE SURE OF WHAT YOU ARE DOING.

you cant roam with a cdma only handset in UK. i have used their international roaming while in UK. They provide you a GSM sim (postpaid users) of the same number to be used while you are there. not been to usa yet, but official reliance handsets work directly in usa if international roaming enabled as reliance has cdma network partnership there.

First to get international roaming you need to change build.prop to allow roaming. You won't face any issue in UK (if reliance have tie up with some UK carrier) Cant confirm about USA as roaming will be on sprint network. And boost is sprints prepaid division. If roaming is possible on Verizon then no issues. Some one who did roaming in UK and USA can confirm this. Sent by Moto G on Reliance CDMA

There is but it breaks something in the phone, had read on xda but maybe there is a way to install. Why custom recovery? Mind if I ask? Sent from my LG-LS980 using Tapatalk Yes downgrading to ZV8 ABOOT will break download mode. Flash ZVC Radio to fix download mode. TWRP is very much possible with ZVC. I did the research and now on to it. Received my LS980 last day. EDIT: Decided to stay TWRPless for a bit more. Please read the post below.

@Varun - go a head, and let us know the result, if you get into any problem, we have one click restore for 173.44.18 @DDM3610 - Every user can / should contribute to this, I can list safe to remove apps.... will put it as time permits. @Kapil Matey - check your dump and CW version, they should match. if it is not sticking, try writing only user name password in DFS.
