You can wait for Moto E which will be launched in india on 13th. Going by the leaked/rumoured specs which seems pretty good for a pricing around Rs 8-9K from brand like Motorola, it can turn out to be a game changer as far as budget android handsets go.
other option could be trying different ROM. I am using OmniRom on my Note 2. earlier I have to charge at evening. After this ROM, it goes for 30+ hours.
With all the imported phones we buy, we are used to no warranty I guess.
The point being, moto phones have great quality and quality control both. So they dont tend to mess up easily. While thats not the case with these so called indian brands.
