I have a Nexus 7 2013 tablet and require a sim for 3g data and if possible, SMS. I understand that the Nexus 7 does not do voice calls. What is the best 3g data sim for Ambernath?

I'm suprised that we dont have a M8 thread yet! BTW does any US variant HTC One M8 support RUIM? I saw couple of sellers in ebay selling RUIM based M8. Obviously they wont share any further details of how to get it done. So anyone here who got it working? We are right now in the dark age of no meid registration. What about Galaxy S5 as well? Any RUIM based solutions?

There have been posts in various threads which indicate that several users took Kitkat update on their Motorola phones (mainly Verizon devices) and 1x data has stopped working on Reliance CDMA. Suggestions such as changing the RUIM SIM card and trying a new SIM are workarounds and have already been made in other threads. I can consolidate a list of phones/ users affected by this upgrade and send it to my contacts in Motorola, who might be able to help resolve this issue from software perspective. So, if you have an issue with Reliance CDMA data, then please write in this thread if you can abide by the following: You have to be willing to install bug2go or some other debugging tool and send the bug report to Motorola if asked for. You have to be willing to participate in the troubleshooting exercise with Motorola, if required. I cannot promise anything at this stage, since this looks like a carrier specific issue. However, something in Kitkat has broken the functionality and that means Motorola can resolve the issue. It goes without saying, that for this to be prioritized, we have to have a large number of affected users. Hi all, Bought a EC 315 yesterday to use from a person who was selling locally. I spent the entire day yesterday but could not get it to work with the RUIM slot. Post googling and reading i tried everything from upgrading to downgrading the firmware, installing Huawei default firmware, tried multiple versions of DFS, also tried CDMA workshop. The issue i am facing is after saving the settings of changing NV to RUIM only when i do the reset command . After reboot the settings go back to NV only it does not stick to ruim. Due to this it is not detecting and reading the sim card inside. i tried multiple versions of DFS, tried CDMA workshop. Tried different OS also 8.1, Windows 7 but was unable to make the settings stick. I had bought this to use my sim with the dongle but looks like it is not happening. Any inputs, ideas and thoughts would be appreciated to get this working, as of now i have run out of most options that i could try or are available. Need help from the Gurus here to get this running.

since u can connect laptop, when it is connected to wifi, goto Control Panel\Network and Internet\Network Connections IPv4 Address: 192.168.1.1 IPv4 Default Gateway: IPv4 DNS Servers: then use some app like this https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.monkelabs.ipmanager and create a profile. add above entry. for IPv4 Address, change last number to say 30 for example, 192.168.1.30 activate this profile and try connecting again. change to dynamic ip when u are using different wifi.

No. Try assigning static ip and check if it works. I did a reservation in my router or u can assign a static ip towards the end of your router dhcp range It is an known issue with nexus series. google it !
