Simply, to try my luck, I went to reliance store a bought a new OMH sim for Rs 4/-. To my surprise when I inserted the new sim, I got an option to add APN. I created a new rcomnet apn and gave my mobile no. as username and password. After a few seconds I was connected to evdo network. To my surprise, with the new sim, wifi tethering is also working without any Verizon subscription check.

its not the HW problem. the problem is of SW issue. What Sprint has done is, in their latest Builds and devices, they had code as if the handset is bricked in term to UNLOCK the device they have stopped the EXCHANGE OF VOICES.. but if you check the HW diag tool test which is build in the Phone it works fine all the test are succeed only Live test call is not working,,.. just flash the OLD RUU, Problem will get Solved but when it i wil stop exchange of voice, cant say. Please do Post if exact problem is detected and the solution for it... till then Keep Flashing OLD RUU SOlution GOt.. for not EXCHANGE of Voices... Dear frnds.. got to link..
