3 pointsHello everyone, I was so desirous to use Kitkat on my G2, the only thing was barrier to my desire was no data on OMH and I didn't wanted to use in on NV. I was so desperate and was messing with it since long, yesterday, something clicked in my mind, I have marked that it was showing 'Service Disabled' on lock screen when CDMA SIM was in. I thought it must be something related to internal lock that is preventing device to get connected to data. I started exploring build.prop and yes, here it was. I found solution. So, here you go! It has cons as well, I have discussed them below, I hope veterans like Vinod ji and others will have solution for it. Have a look and enjoy! Here is the tutorial : Requirements : 1- Must be on Kitkat (Of course, lol!) 2- Must be rooted 3- Must have ROM Toolbox Lite or Root Explorer Execute ROM Toolbox Lite and go to performance tab by sliding your finger left, there is "build.prop Editor", click it and it will present to you with lots of texts, find ' ro.build.target_operator ' as below : <a href="http://imgur.com/zRNRjfb"><img src="http://i.imgur.com/zRNRjfb.png" title="Hosted by imgur.com" /></a> Your phone must have it's value as SPR, change its value to REL as shown in the above pic and restart. Whoila! You have data on Kitkat on OMH! But wait, there are cons : 1- You will have to dial 0 before calling, else, phone application will crash. Wifi works perfectly for me!. 2- You will have that old looking thick network signal bars. I absolutely hate it and I am working to get those slim and modern looking network signal bars back. (Vinod ji, please help!) 3- Wifi hotspot not working at all. (Working on that too) You can lock the device back by changing value to SPR and you will have those slim network signal bars again with no data! So, those were cons, I have not found anything else since last 24 hours. Some of you guys may discover. Thank you all and sorry for such lengthy tutorial as I could just have said ; "Edit build.prop and change ' ro.build.target_operator ' value to REL!"

1 point99% of people know how to change mode from NV to RUIM using DFS, This is for the rest 1% who don't know. Download DFS and install on PC. Phone Drivers I'm using a LG G2 LS980 Sprint CDMA model, so illustrating for the said model Know your SPL/MSL code: Dial ##443336772# Shows MSL code near the bottom of the screen, write it or memorize it. Put the phone into DIAG mode: Dial ##3424#, Enter SPC/MSL code and press ok. Select enable and press ok. Your phone is in DIAG mode. Enable Debug in Developer Options of the phone. If you do not have Developer Options under settings simple go to Settings/About Phone/Software Information under this tap on Build Number 10 times continuously and it will enable the Developer Options in your phone. Put the phone in Charge only Now that your phone is connected, Run DFS on PC & Select Ports marked in red. Select LGE AndroidNet USB Serial Port (COM16) -> this can be any number, its 16 in my case. Once the above port is selected it should it indicate like shown in pic below marked in red. Double click on LGE AndroidNet USB Serial Port (COM16) marked in yellow. If properly connected, it should look like its shown in red in the pic below. Enter your SPC/MSL in the SPC field marked in yellow and then press the SPC button. It should say Device Unlocked in the log window of DFS shown below marked in orange. Now select programming marked in blue and then select read in config marked in red. Select the Ruim Config marked in yellow, change it from NV_ONLY to RUIM_ONLY. Once the mode is changed from NV_ONLY to RUIM_ONLY as shown below marked in red, select write marked in yellow & finally select Reset at top right corner of DFS marked in pink. Your phone should reboot and if your phone is capable of taking a RUIM SIM, all features like voice sms and data should work at this time. I try to make my tutorials as noob friendly as possible, if you still have doubts or confused, don't hesitate to ask.

1 pointPantech Breakout and Pantech Marauder both show Sim is from an unknown source but OMH works. Till recently data was not possible on Reliance CDMA SIM but now it works using minor DFS programming. Some Marauders came as NV only, so you need to make it RUIM only. Sent from Sprint Note 3 N900P

1 point@JEETU04 Your queries already answered by Joshm in above few posts. If you are now in 4.3 then the only way out for data to working is NV mode

1 point@Amit, Just an suggestion. Please add following to first post.... "Phone should be rooted with recovery installed" and give your rooting post link there... It will help a new person looking at this post !
