RJOI is asking for permission to install OFC and switch (I guess) in buildings in South Mumbai. My society and nearby buildings receive the letters. Further as an introductory offer, they will give 3 months free internet to all the residents who opt for it. We have to pay Rs. 1,000/- for modem/device charges and they are refundable if we discontinue the service after 3 months. No idea about the plans. Launch date as per the line man is 28th December.

I have been using Google Chromecast for over 4-5 months and I can say that its the best piece of streaming device available in the market. Pros: 1. Simple setup, just plug and play. 2. Stream from multiple device and with the new update, it can stream from devices which are not connected to your wifi. 3. Regular updates from Google 4. Can stream from local media stored on Phone/PC/NAS/etc 6. Deeply integrated with Google and Android. Cons 1. Requires internet connection to start on. You can continue to stream from local media even when there is no internet connection. 2. I haven't done extensive testing regarding on which all instances it requires Internet. But I am sure it requires whenever you start it. Further, it draws power from the hdmi itself. Sent from HTC M8 using Tapatalk.

I was also on the verge of buying Chromecast but got confused with all reviews on the net mentioning that it needs a good speed active internet connection throughout the streaming, and not just to initiate the connection. I was under the impression that media will be streamed over local wifi network without using up internet bandwidth. Maybe someone who has a chromecast dongle can enlighten us.. All the cheap chinese chromecast clones do the streaming locally.

Below listed handsets support Evdo-rev. B:- 1. Htc desire 816 dual sim. 2. Htc one e8. 3. Htc one 802d dual sim. I am using Htc desire 816 and have attached speed test screen shot. I have never experienced such a great speed even in airtel 4g in bangalore. Airtel 4g gives max speed upto 10 mbps.Reliance cdma rev B is giving max upto 12.36 mbps.I have recharged with 4999 plan and downloaded more than 200 gb till date, no fup truely unlimited. Yes Add APN option is there but I think for for Droid razr m default settings is used for CDMA Network. Also I want to know for 1x or EVDO(3G) network type & strength depend upon your Mobile or SIM Card or BTS tower?
