I have been looking for this since a long time. A top notch tablet with cdma data service. Despite of lot of complaints on different topics on our forums I still am a cdma fan. Now what better option then to get your ipad running cdma data. From my previous experience I know getting cdma service on iphone is a bit complicated but it works. sometimes has issues related to ios update. DFS credit is too expensive for a comman man unless considering huge proffesional usage. I often asked few rim gurus and top sellers here if there is any possiblity but nobody seems to have tried. on some threads the idea was outrightly rejected. Today I have had a huge surprise and thats why I am so excited to share it with you all. I am sure now different possibilities can be explored to get it working right. I had this verizon and just for kicks I pushed that verizon nano sim in my ipad air (1st gen) official indian product (not usa version). here is the result for everyone

Not only for noobs, sometimes it's hit or miss for experienced users too. Main issue is even the operators are not interested enough or efficient or both. As a result, cdma is unnecessarily complicated imho. Sent from my MI 3W using Tapatalk

^^^^ what's RSim 10? But fake theory? The cost of sim to a dealer/RMS is just 4 bucks. Usmein bhi fake? Or could it be some compatibility issue with the OS version. The Verizon LG G2 I bought earlier, didn't work with original micro on 4.4, so we updated the OS version to 4.4.2 & went for a new sim (cut-micro) as suggested by seller. Didn't work. Changed many cut-micros in order to test various serial nos, didn't work.. Finally went back to original micro & it started working! Incompatibility due to Carrier types, OS version, sim cut types & serial nos.. This CDMA world is a crazy place for noobs!

Sam is true for 1x and EVDA Rev.A. I have used both 2G and 3G extensively on Airtel and 2G on Idea on different handsets and in several different states (at least 3 states in India). None of the experiences compare with EVDO of TATA CDMA. It is more stable and smoother than GSM. I have hardly once in a day connection drop in EVDO whereas 3G on AirTel, though giving similar or more speed than EVDO Rev.A but 3G signals drop very frequently adding to the frustration. Even 1x is way better than slow, crappy 1947's 2G. Quality of data on CDMA is light-years ahead comparing to data on GSM. It will change in future though because GSM is more of open technology while CDMA is definitely not.
