Great write up. Most truthful (except few dates here & there). I would give 100% thumbs up for excellent management of CDMA by RCOM & many 'first' things they did for the consumer. EVDO, was long used by all of us, even before many in India, started hearing about 3G. Two things I recall especially, about this amazing CDMA offering by Reliance was. 1) In 2004, when I was a deputed to Delhi for a year, I did not have TV & I used to watch Live Aaj Tak, NDTC etc news channels on Reliance network on a forgotten phone GTRAN. Under DAPO, it was free, so.. 2) In 2004, I had made a reliance post paid bill payment on phone with my credit card, while visiting gandhi Ashram in Ahmedabad. Now, all these things look trivial. But, it was almost 12 years ago !!!! 3) In 2006, when I visited Sikkim, RCOM network was live, even in faraway hilly areas, & I got surprized to get a call from office on top of a hill. 4) In 2012, I had visited forest near Madikeri , Mysore. And in the middle of jungle (not exactly middle, kind of outskirt), I was able to access Internet & share my coordinates with friends on cdma. Joke, is to ensure full connectivity, I had taken extra "IDEA" card with me. Handset struggled most of the times searching network So, CDMA + RCOM will remain undisputed king in the area of communication & the way people use them. That's why even after this 4G debacle, I am not giving up & keeping patience, to see what they have to offer !!

@silent_god, agree with all your points. I've been a CDMA user since 2006 and actually GTRAN was my very first phone I remember when there was flooding in Mumbai back in 2005, when all the networks were down for several days, Reliance was the only one I remember was still up. That's what got me attracted to them and I've been a Reliance user ever since.

I have been using Reliance after porting it from TATA Indicom where I was a postpaid customer for 10 years. Reason being, they stopped their services in almost entire Bihar, entire J&K. And I roam a lot, travel a lot. And I needed a good connection worth TATA Indicom. Except for when they closed, Indicom was a thousand x better than RIM. If my cust care call had to wait for more than 1 minutes, I received a call back. If I complained about anything, and SLA used to be 24/72/36 hours and if it weren't resolved used to get discount in bills without asking. I used port out request, randomly, for the heck of it...and I got 200x6months discount on billing. I was a GOLD customer for them, don't know what that means, but had Credit limit of 14000. And my bill never went above 1k. My plan was of Rs. 399/- worth Rs. 300 free calling. 30p local, 50p std. TATA to TATA free. Incoming free. O/G used to be T-T free, otherwise 30/50p. SMS free. I really have deep respect and love for CDMA operators they forced the market to change. From a talktime of Rs. 90/- in Rs. 330 recharge per month validity, they had to change because Indicom had launched Rs. 300/- in Rs. 330/- per month with innovative per second billing. First in World. They changed the scenario. Then they launched incoming free way back in 2005-06, which COAI got stopped because of pressure from GSM operators like Airtel, Hutch! Before that RIM had launched MOnsoon Dhamaka...and DAPO which had changed the market! My salute to the pioneers of the market! I had opted for Airtel once for want of handset, when I realised what I go through.....I chose to make my Indicom no as primary one. It has stayed for so more than a decade now with CDMA. Previouslywith Indicom, since Oct with RCDMA. They are dying a death, because Ratan TATA and Mukesh Ambani personally couldn't do anything about it! If RCDMA were with Mukesh Bhai, it would have had been different. Launching a handset in 2002 with live video streaming was nothing more than a dream for Indian customers. Live news channels, everything. He subverted a few policies, but it was good for customers. He changed the market. Later on when it went with Anil, and indicom was given over....things changed for worse!

How to recharge "Reliance 4G" Data?

The savings on electricity alone can not justify the added cost of an inverter AC but when you consider the enhanced comfort offered by inverter AC, it is definitely worth every penny. Inverter AC's, like normal star rated AC's , also have different efficiency figures. If an inverter has same EER at 100% capacity as that of a noninverter AC, you can expect around 20% electricity saving.

Only advantage of Split AC over window AC is less noise. But Split ACs are expensive than Window ACs. Efficiency wise, I think they both are same. Rest it depends upon you whether there is easy access to a window where window AC can be installed or not. Or are you willing to pay extra premium for Split AC. Edit: DO NOT buy Bluestar 2 Ton Split AC. I've purchased one 2 years ago. The sound of outdoor unit is high, and it shut down during very hot day. Service guy says if this happens pour some water on the grill of outdoor unit to cool it down faster, and AC will start again. Sala paani daalna tha to cooler kharidta. AC nahi! (Translation: If I've to pour water to keep my room cool. I would have bought an Air Cooler not an AC).

@ dkaile you can easily use all the cdma sim on redmi note 3. You just need to flash chinese redmi note 3 stable or developer rom. Dont worry in chinese rom you can set phone language as English. Done it in my friend phone so that's the best way around and you will get weekly update on chinese rom. Moreover CDMA is officially supported in chinese rom. Cya..
