Requirements:- QXDM Not Required:- Root, Bootloader unlock Steps:- Part I:- GSM edge unlock 1. Select LTE from mobile networks settings. Remove SIM and switch off phone 2. Boot into bootloader mode and select BPTools, after phone boots, enable debugging 3. Map the comports correctly to QXDM 4. Airplane mode 5. In QXDM, open command prompt, type spc=000000 6. Open NV browser, look for item 441 and make it 0x383 or 0xFFF in band line, click write 7. Look further for NV item 946, write 0x0028 in band pref 8. With the Non-compete Agreement scrapped couple of days ago between Mukesh Ambani and Anil Ambani, do you think Mukesh Ambani will give another shot at Telecommunications by starting a new telecom company? In my opinion he may not and would enter into the financial sector, but he can't start a new bank since Reserve Bank of India will not give a license to an industry house. Maybe Mukesh will foray into Power sector?

As long as interconnect charges exist, separate voice billing would exist. Particularly since the operator is legally bound to report voice usage and data usage separately. The legal framework of Indian telecom is different from the legal framework applicable in USA. So a 4 year old article written keeping the US legal framework in reference would not have any bearing in the Indian context.

You have completely WRONG understanding of what VoLTE is! VoLTE is all about allowing voice calls over LTE network instead falling back to 3G for calls. You seem to be confused with VoIP. ALL the mobile networks today are IP based; which means you make a call on 2G, 3G or VoLTE, they all eventually end up on the same circuit in mobile network. Jio doesn't have any special advantage here. Once the call is connected, operator will have to pay the interconnect charges and other usage fees as prescribed by TRAI. VoLTE is a being super hyped in India. Once people start using it, it won't take much time to realize how underdeveloped that tech is. When we buy a smartphone in US, the first thing we do is to turn off VoLTE. Take your iPhone to Genius (Apple service center), they first disable the VoLTE even if the issue has nothing to do with it!

Volte calls are handled by RJIO network...they would be billed as voice calls only. I wont even debate "This would roughly translate to less than 1GB per YEAR in data which is very less" do the math correctly.

Well after trying hard for two days I was finally able to get a wind 4 handset with the jio connection. The wind 4 has been discontinued and it is not available in Delhi with any reliance digital store. I was hell bent on buying this particular model owing to the enormous battery. Sincere thanks to Mr Kanaga who strongly advised me to get This particular one , it was on his recommendations that I zeroed in for WIND4 Thanks mate Now waiting for the connection to be activated. Will share the data speed, quality etc in a couple of days Sent from my LGLS991 using Tapatalk
