Good News for Jio ₹149 plan users. Jio has upgraded its ₹149 plan & is now offering unlimited data on this basic plan. While most other plans from Jio come with a post FUP speed of 128 Kbps, the ₹149 plan will come with a post FUP speed of 64 Kbps. Earlier, Jio was offering 2GB 4G data, unlimited voice calls and 300 SMSs with a validity of 28 days. So, once you finished your 2GB data, you could no longer use data unless you buy a booster pack. But now Jio has updated its plans on its website and added a post FUP speed of 64 Kbps. According to the updated plans, users will get a post FUP speed of 64 Kbps once they finish their 2GB 4G data. Apart from this, there is no other change in the ₹149 plan. Users who recharge with ₹149 will now get 2GB 4G data, post FUP speed of 64 Kbps, unlimited voice calls, 300 SMSs and unlimited access to Jio’s suite of apps.

They have already hiked the prices! Also they now take extra charges over 100 Text Messages. Now what they expect from us?

Another kind advice to fellow members, please exhaust all the avenues(customer care -- nodal officer - appellate authority)of an operator before going to PGP portal.

BWA spectrum was for 2.3 GHz frequency band. This is meant for LTE-TDD. LTE TDD will be preferable for data services. Wimax is abandoned across the world, even BSNL has surrendered their spectrum. LTE FDD will be preferable for telephony services. It is supported on 700 Mhz band. Currently, these bands are allocated to Doordarshan and AIR for tv broadcasting. DOT wants DD to surrender these bands, unless these happens there are very few bands available in this range.

@Rajan, your comments seem to be based on just one complaint. I have made multiple complaints against all the operators I have used, except probably Idea. My experiences have been a mixed bag. I have already mentioned some of them in other threads. You have rightly observed: It is my speculation that "something else" may be "statistics" Probably there are adverse effects for a telco when it tops the list of complaints/unresolved issues. I have observed that while "smaller" individual based complaints are resolved, the larger ones remain. For eg. the issue of AirHELL openly looting all customers by charging base tariff even when calling in Happy Hours. This was being openly done untill I stopped using AirHELL. I won't be one bit surprised if this looting continues till date. No matter how hard I tried, including calling up the Director of the PG cell, nothing at all came of that complaint (nor of some other compalints against AirHELL in particular). Probably they have calculated that the loss that will be suffered by them (AirHELL) by ceasing to loot all their hapless subscribers will be far, far more than the adverse statistic of my unresolved complaint. The PG cell openly expressed their inablity to do a thing about it either. So thats my observation and what I might called "informed guesswork" regarding the matter. If anybody has some better guesswork, I'd be more than glad to hear it.
