No, Reliance doesn't provide any other DNS, but you can try using other DNS servers like OpenDNS and see if it can make any marginal difference in speed for you.
-
cool, thanks
-
There is no need of any modem setting. Just connect the data cable to your laptop from the phone, then download the appropriate driver / dialer from http://www.reliancecommunications.co.in/we...nectsearch1.jsp Install it and then just dial to get started.

As Govind has posted it now in the Nokia 6235 thread, I'm closing this topic.

Hey, if you have a budget of 50k, then I would recommend Dell Inspiron 6400 ! I'm gonna buy this configuration for around Rs.54,000+ Intel Core 2 Duo Processor T5300 Genuine Windows Vista Home Premium 15.4" Wide Screen XGA TFT Display (1280x800) with TrueLife 1024 MB (2 X 512MB) DDR2 SDRAM 256 MB ATI Mobility Radeon X1400 Hypermemory 60 GB SATA 7200 RPM Performance Hard Drive Internal 8X DVD+/-RW Combination Drive 9-cell 85Whr Lithium Ion Primary Battery But as someone said earlier, upgrading Dell would be very difficult as you cannot order accessories from Dell India either. I hope accessories should be available once Dell starts their manufacturing plant in Chennai in June. So try to get the maximum that you can buy.

If he has more than say 75 minutes of incoming calls when roaming, then the best choice would be a Reliance postpaid connection with the roaming pack for a rental of Rs.100 (for the pack) per month and he can receive calls for 30 paise per minute when roaming. I think TATA Indicom has a roaming pack which allows more (or even unlimited ?) calls when roaming, though I am not sure whether it is available now, maybe if someone has it can tell you here.

Thanks for your suggestions GSV13, kunal, Vijaykumar and spdf... since there are many threads about other operators, it does make sense for having subforums for them and move those topics too... we'll come up with something for it soon.

how much MB is the mp3 file ? I am able to upload mp3 files and there isn't any problem with the permissions either.

The Web Mail application should be the only way for accessing Gmail on LG RD 6130.

I've reuploaded that software here now: http://rapidshare.com/files/24829958/mobil...dp_mjp.exe.html If it asks for password, enter: mobile01 Though I do not think it works, as someone else tried it and said so earlier.

If you are going to buy a new one, then getting it repaired it the better option because you get a new phone board with guarentee. Anyway, send it to the Bangalore ASC right away and see if they can save your phone board from going SRCP. PM me if you need their contact address. or else... if you are brave enough, you can follow Dr.Ashok's guide to the Kyocera 7135 here
-
That is the symptom of the SRCP syndrome for Kyocera 7135. Loosing signal and going in search mode is the first step to SCRP. Once you see the SRCP (Service Required Contact Provider) message, your phone board has to be replaced, which will cost you Rs.6000.

Interesting... tried resetting the phone to factory default settings ? Make sure you backup everything first as it may remove all data.

even if you are sending it for one time only, sending promotional emails to people who haven't requested or agreed to receive promotional offers from a company is termed as "SPAM".

yeah, it was a speculation until last week when Google Spain CEO gave some hint about a phone being developed by Google, in an interview. I think they are working with Samsung as they already have a deal. Here is a rumour pic on how the Gphone could look like !
