You would find it very difficult to find a new laptop with DVD Writer and 80 GB HDD for a budget of 30k. Moreover, for a laptop one should better consider the Intel® Pentium® Mobile processor and 1.5 - 1.7 Ghz are considered as good performers in this processor series. Such a laptop should be available at a range of 40k now.

The Headset for Kyocera 7135 is currently out of stock at the main service center in Bangalore. I have asked them if it can be arranged from somewhere else. If its available, it can be couriered to you. They will get back to me in a couple of days, and I will let you know.
-
Blaze Media Pro would allow you to do that !
-
but still, I don't think you can get the same quality that the original Kyocera's headphone can give. I'll try on Monday to get the price list of accessories for the Kyocera 7135.

Reliance Bills Online Website Is Having Problem
Arun replied to Senthil Raja.B's topic in Reliance Communications
it will be cool if it was possible to manage those features through the website, but maybe its not technically feasible to implement it. Does anyone know other operators having such a feature ? But again, it isn't an important feature for them to bother about, since call waiting, etc. can be managed through the phone itself which more accessible than the computer ! -
Thanks for the update Abhay and for helping out Vishal as he's having exams these days !

Free Sms To Rim Only No Other Network Supported !
Arun replied to thinkpositive's topic in The Lounge
Thanks knvenkat, it did work when I tried to send an SMS to my RIM no. Only 13 SMS can be sent with an account with 130 characters limit though. -
Guess he has already posted it over here, which is fine
-
Have you checked out the new LG RD 6500 ? I'm not sure about the exact price, but should be more than your budget. It does have some good features that you have asked for.
-
Have you tried running a ping window when you are browsing ? If it still disconnects, these problems could occur due to presence of spywares/adwares in your PC.

"Thing Bigger, Think Better" says Anil Ambani Business Standard Mumbai - May 27, 2006 Anil Ambani's Reliance ADA Group formally unveiled its new logo and corporate identity this evening. The move marks the visual separation of turf between him and brother Mukesh Ambani. The Reliance empire was carved out into two parts following a bitter corporate battle between the two siblings, that culminated last year. Mr Ambani used the opportunity to rally employees of the Group around what he called a special moment in the life of Reliance. In a speech that was webcast to group employees at 5 pm on Saturday evening, he went on to say the new identity reflected a belief and commitment "to shape a better future, creat a higher quality of life and give wings to a million dreams and aspirations." The new symbol, he said was "a embodiment of hope, optimism and success". The new colours, blue and red, he said, conveyed values of integrity, confidence, energy and passion. Ambani dwelt on the typeface in the new logo, saying it was a combination "Of upper and lower case characters, representing our essential openness and accessibility." Mr Ambani said his group's businesses spanned "the entire landscape of emerging human aspirations". Using words somewhat similar to those used by his father and founder Dhrubhai Ambani, Mr Ambani said the goal was not to just "Build a great enterprise for the stakeholders but to give millions of young Indians the means to fulfill their dreams, the power to shape their own destiny." The Group's businesses spanned the entire landscape of emerging human aspirations he said, mentioning communications, energy, entertainment, financial services and infrastructure, he said. Ambani concluded with an extract from a Dhirubhai Ambani mantra saying, "Think Bigger ! Think Better !" Ambani also said Reliance ADA was the third largest Indian Group on all major financial parameters, with a market capitalisation of Rs 100,000 crore and group assets of Rs 31,500 crore. he added that his group had 50 million customers (telecom and power distribution included) and over 8 million shareholders. Following is the text of the speech. Anil Ambani, chairman of Reliance – Anil Dhirubhai Ambani Group. See Anil Ambani's Speed Webcast Video

There are many ways to keep off the SRCP message, like by cleaning (blowing) the inside and the board with canned air, cleanning the connector between the phone, but these work fine for a few minutes or hours or upto a couple of days max, including by keeping it on the cradle. So in the end, you will have to change the phone board to fix it permanently atleast for 6 months which is the warranty period for the replaced component.

Google predicts India will be largest net market Times of India Wednesday, May 24, 2006 London --- Google's chief executive Eric Schmidt has predicted that India and not China will become the world's biggest Internet market in "about five or ten years from now, based on current trends." And what's more, Schmidt's other futurist view is that Hindi, not Hispanic, could become one of the world's three Internet languages, in conjunction with English and Chinese. Schmidt's remarkable predictions have left techies and the Internet market analysts scrambling to ask what Google was doing to prepare for a tomorrow when India is virtually the Internet and Internet is India? Are there any special plans, for instance, on how to harness India's increasing netizen strengths with Google's strategic vision for the future? Google had no answers on Tuesday just hours after Schmidt offered a glimpse of the search engine's searchlight on the future to a riveted audience attending its ongoing Google Zeitgeist conference. Instead, spokeswoman Laura Ainsworth could only tell TOI that Schmidt's views were a reflection of beliefs he set out on Monday in a British daily. In the article, Schmidt talked about the world wide web's ability to "democratise" information, making it possible for the developing world to have the same access to knowledge as the developed. Schmidt wrote, "Over time digitisation will make it possible for people throughout the developing world to access the same information that is available to us in the West. A schoolboy in Africa will be able, for example, to find research papers from around the world or see ancient manuscripts from a library in Oxford." Mobile telephony, he prophesied, would "be the next big Internet phenomena." He pointed out, "Mobile phones are cheaper than PCs, there are three times more of them, growing at twice the speed, and they increasingly have Internet access. What is more the World Bank estimates that more than two-thirds of the world's population lives within range of a mobile phone network."

Hope its something better... fingers crossed till Sunday !

Thats right, my friend too had got it like that from the Service Center earlier. Web World folks may not be very helpful though since they won't get direct access to retrieve it. But they can initiate a request for retrieving it. So try once again at WW since Kyocera Service Center isn't available everywhere.

Yes, I had noticed that too, the phone worked when it was placed on the cradle. Anyway, a phone board change is due for you now.

Thats internet through FWP, we are talking about internet through DSL here ! BTW, TATA Indicom reduced their price for 128 kbps and 256 kbps unlimited data transfer ADSL connections to Rs.800 and Rs.1200 respectively (from Rs.900 and Rs.1600), last week. It seems the effect of competition especially from BSNL has started to show among other ISPs now

LOL, that should have been posted in the Quota Reservation thread

As per the news at Financial Express, A R Rahman is composing the jingles for ADAG companies' commercials. But isn't A R Rahman already signed up exculsively by Bhatri for AirTel ? Anyway, hope to see a better new logo unveiled later today

I guess you are referring to the MIN number. The service center can retrieve the MIN for you. You may also try complaining at Web World that you accidently edited your MIN number.

Just open the video file by browsing for it. Gspot will display whether the codec is installed or not. Very simple !
