It isn't available 'off the shelf' anywhere. Even the refurbished handsets released by Reliance in DAKC Web World is over now.

Does the Hotsync process hang without any error shown in the Desktop Hot Sync Manager ? Is there any error log shown in the Hotsync Manager ? Since it occurs even after doing a hard reset, I suspect it to be a problem on your PC's port. Try syncing from another PC to check where the problem really is.

hmmm, mohan... those are some good plans from Exatt ( http://www.xbroadband.in/html/schemes.htm ). The 6 month scheme is surely a winner. But Exatt is available in limited areas in Mumbai, Pune, Banglore and Delhi BTW, you should be getting around 30 kB/sec for a 256 kbps connection. I get 30 - 32 kB/sec constant speed on my 256 kbps TATA Indicom while downloading. Upload speed is also the same (256 kbps) for me. How about the experience with BSNL DataOne downloads ? Do you get the advertised speeds ?

Were is it mentioned dat u do not hav to pay landline rental or included with this plan Yup, its mentioned in the BSNL plan page posted by linuxguy.

whoa, thats a kick *** plan from BSNL indeed. I hope other players will join the price drop bandwagon too, or else I'll have to move to BSNL ! Can't I waive off the Rs.100 modem rental if I already have an ADSL modem ? Or is it mandatory ?

The 500 minutes of Internet usage is just an offer, which is applicable for the first month. If the "Indicom 10 Plan" is compared with Reliance's Freedom@Night plan, it surely is cheaper. At Rs.350 rental (voice + data), the monthly rental is Rs.50 less than Freedom@Night, day time usage charge is lesser at 40 paise (while its 50 paise for Freedom@Night) and moreover, there is a "Free usage value" worth Rs.200 per month which can be used for Internet also. Wake up Reliance !!!

a solution for this issue seems to be unheard yet !

I've seen 512 MB miniSD cards selling for between Rs.1100 to Rs.1250 range, which are compatible with LG RD 6230.

As per broadband??'s post above, it seems he is now taking orders via emails, so he must be spamming a lot. Haven't seen any other website reported lately. Please do keep us updated about the outcome of your legal proceedings.

You have to purchase the credits for Skype or VOIP Buster online using your credit card or a PayPal account, after downloading their software and then click Buy Credits to purchase it from their website.
-
Skype charges for calls made to phones (landline or mobile) from your PC. Only PC to PC calls are free. For making calls to phone through Skype, you need to purchase credits as low as around Rs.450 only. The call rates are quite low to many countries. http://www.voipbuster.com

This is definetely old news, but released in December 2005. Steve, please add the news source with date when you post news articles.

Price varies depending on the brand. NCP and YES brand are cheap ones, you can get 512 MB for around Rs.1000 to Rs.1200 while 1 GB can cost around Rs.2000 to Rs.2200 There could be even cheaper unbranded ones, though warranty and durability may be a concern. Kingston, Transcend, SanDisk, etc. are costlier, but may have better durability and gives longer replacement warranty period too.
-
For those whose phone board have gone bad... replacing the phone board would cost you Rs.6000, the only respite is the fact that you will get replacement warranty for the replaced parts for 6 months.

It is getting delayed, we will update once it done.

Yes actually, but if you opt for any of the Data Plans (Freedom / Freedom Plus / Platinum) along with the voice rental plan New Joy 149, you need to pay the data plan rental only.
