wierd, but R-Connect doesnt change the TCP/IP properties of your Network Card. Check what is mentioned in: 'ipconfig /all' (run in DOS) to see whether the settings are correct.

for the WAP borwser, it is a service provider dependant feature which Reliance doesn't offer now.

I've seen the battery hazard notification too, unfortunately it seems to be the old batteries itself that were shipped with these handsets by Reliance. Speaking of replacement warranty, Kyocera India may not entertain these handsets for free. I hope you are aware that the handset's phone board could go dead anytime as reported by many users.

Yes, depending upon the price and I don't think they would offer unlimited plans above 256 kbps. TATA Indicom already offers 256 kbps with unlimited data transfer at Rs.1750 (including tax).
