Do you really need to post a fake experience review like that for self promotion? As per this blog on investmentyogi: http://www.investmentyogi.com/taxes/myths-about-e-filing-of-income-tax-return.aspx you are associated with them as you composed that blog. http://hyderabad.quikr.com/CFP-Study-material-self-study-W0QQAdIdZ73465999 : A person with MBA, CFP & CFA shouldn't be getting confused when filing the returns on income tax website.

I found this fix while fiddling with EPST yesterday and was about to post it today Here is the procedure to do that: Open EPST in your handset using ##3282# > Edit Mode > Enter MSL (should be 000000) Go to Advanced > RSTP/HTTP Setting Enter RSTP and HTTP proxy IP as: 0.0.0.0 (remove the sprint.com URLs) RSTP and HTTP proxy port as: 0 Go back and click Menu key > Commit Modifications (it may show No Changes but it did change and you can try checking again to confirm it has changed) Now YouTube should work fine with EVDO!

Is it Reliance EVDO/HSD (CDMA) or HSPA (GSM)? If it is EVDO connection then it looks like you are connected with 1x and not EVDO from those results. If EVDO singals are not available in your area then it will connect as 1x only. BTW use servers in India to check, even though Dhaka is closer to you international route will still have higher latency than to a city in India. -
many claim Dish TV's 35 TruHD channels are a gimmick that just upscales SD channels. I haven't checked the quality of those channels though, so not sure how "tru" it is. I got AirTel HD DVR installed last month and its been excellent for me. If you decide to go for AirTel then do let me know if you have any questions.

Free Facebook Mobile Access With 0.facebook.com On Reliance Gsm
Arun posted a topic in Data services
Reuters May 19, 2010, 11.15 AM IST Facebook, the largest social networking portal has rolled out a new mobile site “0.facebook.com” along with around 50 mobile operators in 45 countries and territories with zero data charges. This new offering has been optimized to deliver a speedier user interface for people who access Facebook via their mobile on the go across the globe. Facebook’s 0.facebook.com is simply a faster and lighter version of Facebook’s mobile site m.facebook.com. The 0.facebook.com has been composed of all of the key features of Facebook, with no graphics or photos in order to make it faster. To bring this new service for the Indian users, Facebook has tied up with one of the leading mobile service providers in India, Reliance Communications (RCOM). With this status updates and photo uploads on Facebook are only one click away from 0.facebook.com for Reliance users. The service is being made available as a zero data charges in order to relieve the users from the hassles of cost of data plans. Yet, standard data charges will apply when a person leaves 0.facebook.com to view photos. “Facebook is a great social utility connecting people with their close network of friends and others. Indians have already embraced Facebook in a big way to keep up with friends, share photos and links and videos. We’re extremely delighted to announce that thanks to our collaboration with Facebook, millions of our subscribers will now be able to access Facebook for free through 0.facebook.com. We are happy to announce this offer to all of our GSM/RTL subscribers,” said Mr. Anil Pande, Head – VAS, Reliance Communications. Besides RCOM, Videocon is the other mobile operator in the country which would be providing the service of 0.facebook.com (according to the data on Facebook’s official page). Do note that though browsing 0.facebook.com from any Reliance Mobile service enabled handsets is free, you will be charged with data charges if you leave that link. For instance, if you happen to be on 0.facebook.com and click on the photos recently posted by your friend, then you'll be charged standard data charges for viewing those photos outside the 0.facebook.com link. The mobile only version – 0.facebook.com – will be currently available for two operators in India, Reliance & Videocon and Tata Docomo will soon join the ranks as well. -
Real Time News - Asia Monday, 07/04/2011 In a huge relief to ordinary mobile customers suffering from unwanted "value added services," the Telecom Regulatory Authority of India (TRAI) has made a written request from the consumer mandatory for the starting of value added services. Value added services (VAS) are those which are in addition to the normal SMS and voice calling facility. Many consumers have been complaining to the TRAI as well as to the Government that operators simply start off such services without asking them. In some cases, such services are also started off by operators by "tricking" the consumer by urging them to press any key etc.. The move by the TRAI to make a written request from the consumer a must for the starting of any such service is likely to impact the revenue of many operators as well as several VAS companies. It has come after repeated and futile attempts to bring the operators to good behaviour over the last 3 to 4 years. TRAI had, in the past, tried many directions and guidelines to try to convince operators not to indulge in such-anti consumer behaviour, but had been unsuccessful. In India, VAS typically includes services such as news-headlines, GPRS, ring-back and caller tunes, astrological advice etc.. and are usually charged at around Rs 30-50 per month. Many consumers are 'trapped' into such schemes after they press the wrong key when an automated call asking whether such a services should be started or not arrives on their cellphone. Many consumers are simply too confused or illiterate or impatient to hear what the recorded message is saying and end up pushing a button than starts the service. Once started, such VAS facilities are notoriously difficult to get rid of. Endless calls and SMSes to the operators customer service often fails to put a stop to such "value adds." The issue is particularly serious in rural areas where a single deduction of Rs 50 may account for nearly half of that customer's calling budget for the month. Officially, all operators deny that they start off such "value adds" without asking the customer's permission or by tricking them. "the service provider shall obtain confirmation from the consumer through consumer originated SMS or e-mail or FAX or in writing within twenty four hours of activation of the value added service and charge the consumer only if the confirmation is received from him for such value added service and shall discontinue such value added service if no confirmation is received from the consumer," TRAI says in its new guidelines. TRAI also noted that such "value added" services do not leave the customer even when the customer tries to get rid of it by not recharging his or her account. In such cases, TRAI points out, the value added services keep on coming and the mobile operator keeps on deducting money from the customer, resulting in a negative balance. When the customer recharges the next time, the arrears caused by the value added services are deducted immediately. "If there is insufficient balance in the account of a consumer at the time of renewal of subscription to a value added service, the service provider shall send a request, through SMS, to the consumer to indicate his consent for continuing such service by sending an SMS as “Yes” or “No” to a toll free number and if, in response to such request, the consumer indicates his explicit consent by conveying “Yes”, such value added service shall be renewed and such consumer shall be informed by the service provider through SMS that the charges for renewal of subscription of value added service shall be deducted from subsequent recharge," TRAI noted. In a separate move, the regulator suggest making 'itemized' billing facility available to all pre-paid customers and introducing a new colour coded system of recharge coupons. Hackers Attack ADAG Chief Anil Ambani's Work Email Account
Arun posted a topic in Reliance Communications
18 June, 2011, 12:19 AM IST Economic Times Unidentified hackers last month attempted what seems to have been a cleverly disguised phishing attack on billionaire Anil Ambani , who may have suffered a resultant breach of security on his computer. The attack, now the subject of an investigation by the Cyber Crime Cell of the Mumbai Police, happened on May 8, when the 52-year-old chairman of the Anil Dhirubhai Ambani Group and the fourth-richest Indian received an email that appeared to have been sent by an India-based reporter of global financial newswire service Bloomberg. The hacking attempt was revealed when the group's corporate communications department got in touch with the reporter and it became clear that no such email had been sent. "We have received a complaint from ADAG. We have been investigating the matter and we expect to have some leads in the matter in a week or so," Deven Bharti, additional commissioner of Mumbai Police, said. According to a person familiar with the investigation, who asked not to be named, the email carried a malicious code, commonly referred to as a virus, that might have compromised the data security on Ambani's email . Bharti said while that appears to have been the case prima facie, he could not comment on the extent of the breach till the technical investigation was completed. The hackers seem to have used a commonly used technique called email spoofing. The email appeared to have come from an ID on the Bloomberg.tv domain. The wire service uses the Bloomberg-.net domain for its email service. The Bloomberg.tv domain redirects to Bloomberg.com and appears to be a domain owned by that company. Experts say it is easy to 'spoof', or replicate, a domain and make an email look like it has come from a person known to the recipient, and is commonly used by hackers looking to steal information from a computer, in what are called "phishing" attacks. "The email headers can be easily replaced by a hacker and an email system does not authenticate where it has originated from," said Sanjay Katkar, chief technology officer at Quickheal Technologies, a Pune-based maker of anti-virus solutions. In this case, hackers cleverly spoofed the email ID of a person known to Ambani, prompting him to instinctively trust the sender. The email carried an attachment, and Ambani received it on his work ID. It is not clear if he opened the attachment. Some kind of viruses are activated when the recipient clicks on an email attachment. A Bloomberg spokesperson said the company would file a separate complaint to determine the source of the rogue email. "We were first alerted by Reliance officials of an email from someone impersonating one of our reporters and determined it was clearly fraudulent and not from our staff. Reliance acknowledged that they understood the email was not a legitimate Bloomberg email address. We are cooperating with the investigation fully and plan to file our own complaint in order to assist in determining the source of the fraudulent email," Bloomberg spokesperson TY Trippet wrote in an email response. While it is simple for a hacker to spoof the identity of the sender, the malicious code delivered by such a seemingly friendly email can be devastating, Katkar said. "There is no limit to what such a virus can do. It cannot only steal your data, but can even control your computer remotely, without your knowledge," he said. A spokesperson for ADAG confirmed the police investigation, but declined further comment. A senior company official, who asked not to be named, said no data has been compromised. -
How Operators Are Scuttling MNP
Arun replied to ravi_patent's topic in Mobile Number Portability (MNP)
TRAI teams to conduct check on MNP requests 2 Jul, 2011, 04.42AM IST - The Economic Times The Telecom Regulatory Authority of India (Trai) will send out teams to conduct check on the procedure followed by top mobile phone companies while dealing with mobile number portability (MNP) requests, an official told ET. The Trai is conducting these checks as the number of MNP rejections has not declined. The MNP allows subscribers to retain their mobile phone number but switch their operator. "We were getting complaints (about porting requests being rejected) and the number of rejections was not reducing even after taking steps," a Trai official said on the condition of anonymity. The official added that letters were sent on Friday to all major mobile operators informing about the checks and seeking permission to access systems used for port-ins and port-outs. More than a month ago, Trai had directed all telcos not to reject request if a customer's outstanding due is less than Rs 10. Any amount under Rs 10 will be included in the customer's next bill without any penalty. Earlier, Trai noted that certain requests were rejected by telcos for nonpayment of outstanding bills and non-completion of 90 days from the date of activation of mobile number. The sector regulator added that the service provider could reject a request only if a subscriber has not complied with contractual terms of a corporate connection and post-paid connection with a bundled handset. Certain requests were also being rejected as subscribers had quoted incorrect Unique Porting Codes, a number given to a subscriber who wishes to change his operator. The government introduced this service this January to provide more power to consumers and increase healthy competition among the 14 service providers in the country including Bharti Airtel , Vodafone and Reliance Communications. -

The list will be too long and will take ages to add each. I will try adding few more from that list as time goes by. Please PM me if any specific city needs to be added for now. Do you mean the t "twitter icon in the "Share this topic" option? You have to authorize your Twitter account first in "My Settings" > "Profile" > Manage Twitter Connect. After associating the account you can just click the "t" icon to post the topic (title and the Shortened URL which will be auto-added) to your Twitter feed.

The custom profile field will have to be either a dropdown or a radio button or text area input only; so that won't be possible. Which city/town are you from? Text area input will work out since the member can enter the city name directly; however the field will become blank for all members who have selected the city name for the past several years and will have to enter/type the city from now again. What say?

You mean to add missing cities? Do you know any website with more cities in their drop-down registration form?
