The poll will run till the 7th Anniversary which is more than a month away. The number of members who post at least 1 post per month is an average of 150 as per the statistics. So I would expect around 250 - 300 votes in a month for this poll as some lurking members will also vote. There is an announcement in the front page which should get the attention of members who can vote. Since there is 1 email per year policy I will not be sending any email to ask members to vote as there is no need to force members to vote. Please use this topic to discuss why you have voted for a your favorite member.

Just selecting the forum name from the drop down will automatically redirect you to that forum, so no need to click any Go button.
  6. RIMweb compatibility with Opera Mini

Actually I see 15 posts itself in a page. Can I reset your password and login to your account to check it to see if it is anything related to your account?
  7. RIMweb compatibility with Opera Mini

    Correct, see previous reply.
  8. RIMweb compatibility with Opera Mini

It seems the page will load according to the skin selected for the account only as I have checked it now. So you have to change it using the drop down. I notice it will show 5 posts only for Opera Mini. So it must be an optimized Mobile Skin for Opera Mini. The Mobile Skin will show 15 posts per page for a normal mobile browser like an Android browser. The default/cleancut skin is not meant for mobile browsers, so even if it loads there could be issues. The Mobile skin was developed with mobile browsers in mind. They have distinguished between normal (default) and mobile skin so that each would serve its purpose for which they were developed.

Just tried the above reply and it went through, though I had to submit twice; but without having to re-login.
  10. RIMweb compatibility with Opera Mini

this is a reply using Opera Mini 5.01 on Nokia N82
  11. RIMweb compatibility with Opera Mini

Can you tell me what exactly is the issue when using Mobile Skin on Opera Mini?
  12. RIMweb compatibility with Opera Mini

Enable the Show Mobile View/Site (or similar) option in Opera Mobile. That will force you to use the Mobile Skin automatically on Opera Mobile. Mobile Skin will show all replies (15 per page) in the topic. The Mobile skin for IP.Board 2.x (called Lo-Fi) never had a reply option. If you saw a reply option in IP.Board 2.x then you were using the default skin. IP.Board 3.x has the normal reply option for Mobile skin if you are logged in.
  13. RIMweb compatibility with Opera Mini

It is almost browser independent itself as long as it is the latest version of the browser. The default skin will work fine on most PC browsers and the Mobile Skin should work fine on most mobile browsers. Yes, there shouldn't be any problem with Mobile skin on Opera Mini Yes, you can reply when using Mobile Skin on a mobile browser.

He must have added up the total number of votes. The difference occurred since Hetal had enabled Multiple Voting briefly in between and few members selected multiple votes during that time.
  15. so have to wait for 7 more days to know what kind of tariff will be set for 3G!
  16. Yeah, much needed for the operators, else many will switch to the 3G provider once MNP starts. I wonder if the subscriber will have to pay anything extra when using a different provider for 3G services though.
  17. Reliance Communications starts hiring top brass before Reliance Industries Limited entry Times News Network, Jun 22, 2010, 01.07am IST The country’s second-largest telecom company by subscribers, Reliance Communications (RCOM), has hired over half a dozen senior employees to cater to its wireless business. RCOM has not just poached from other telcos to fortify its management structure, it has also recruited senior executives just before elder brother Mukesh Ambani’s telecom venture gets into the hiring mode. Reliance Industries’ Rs 4,800-crore Infotel buy has created a buzz in the telecom industry, with mid- to senior-level management cadre from various telecom companies expecting a call from head hunters. In a bid to put a more efficient team in place to run its CDMA and GSM platforms, and to provide the edge to its 3G services which will be rolled out soon, RCOM has picked up some key people from the industry. Sitapathy Chavali, earlier with Vodafone Essar, has joined as Wireless CTO. An expert in 3G and BWA, Chavali was earlier with Idea Cellular and with Lucent Technologies (US). Ex-Bharti Airtel executive Nagesh Rajanna has taken up the post of national sales and distribution head. Prior to joining RCOM, Rajanna was with Future Generali. Both have joined RCOM this month. Earlier in April, Anuraj Prashar was poached from Airtel, where he was national head of the fraud prevention unit, while Naresh Gupta moved from Vodafone Essar at the start of the year, where he was director till November 2009. As Reliance Communications begins the journey towards 200 million customers, the company is adopting a multi-pronged strategy.
  18. RIMweb compatibility with Opera Mini

Scroll towards the bottom of any page and change the skin using the drop down.
  19. RIMweb compatibility with Opera Mini

I have checked with the developers and I got the update that the default skin is not optimized for Opera Mini. The "Mobile" skin is meant for Opera Mini browser. The default skin has complex code that Opera Mini may not render properly.
  20. RIMweb compatibility with Opera Mini

Have you noticed that before this week also or from this week only? Just checking if it is to do with the last upgrade.
