Help regarding Payment Gateway
Arun replied to enjoylifewithsms's topic in General Technical Discussion
Not So. Paypal has an internal USD to INR conversion rate and credit cards issued by Indian banks will be charged in INR. In fact Paypal shows the final price in INR before you click the "PAY" button Yes if you pay via Credit Card and don't have PayPal balance, and he wants to avoid that conversion charge which is additional to the per transaction charge of $0.30 + 3.4% levied by PayPal from the seller. -
Help regarding Payment Gateway

What does eBay have to do with this? He is asking about a payment gateway to be implemented on his website. PayPal will charge in USD only since they do not support INR. The bank will convert the amount to INR in the statement which will include conversion charges. -

I'm seeing some bad reviews: http://www.consumercomplaints.in/complaints/paysignet-c71485.html I have even heard bad reviews of CCavenue, so can't really recommend any. PayPal is good enough though it can accept Credit Cards only in USD. -
With frequent usage the Android virtual keyboard can become comfortable.

TelecomTiger Mumbai | 24 Apr 2010 The Application Store space in India is all set to become fiercer as traditional challenger to incumbent GSM operators, Reliance Communications is in the process of completion of a potential competitive advantage in the form of an alliance with world’s number 2 application store company, USA-based GetJar. Reliance Communications earlier launched its App Store offerings in February this year. It claims that the tie-up with GetJar will enable the company to offer over 50,000 mobile applications to its subscribers making it the largest offering in India under the App Store concept. The App Store offerings can be availed by RCom’s GSM and CDMA subscribers. The offerings will be addressed to mass market and not be restricted only to users with smartphones. These will be offered as part of RWorld. When contacted an RCOM Spokesperson confirmed that the company is entering into an alliance with GetJar as part of its overall Apps Store strategy. The tie-up with GetJar may also help Reliance Communications in pushing uptake for mobile data services as well as mobile data usage. GetJar is world’s largest pure-play App Store player as it is not aligned to any operator or any handset manufacturer. It claims to be registering a yoy growth of more than 300% with an average of over one million downloads per day recorded daily across the world. The company caters to consumers in over 200 countries and has alliances with Sony Ericsson, Sprint, Opera, Vodafone, 3UK, Virgin Mobile. GetJar allows third party developers to use the medium as a distribution channel for free applications. While initially the medium offers fixed promotions for such developers to use the medium, the business model gradually encourages developers to shift to a ‘pay-per-download’ promotional module.

Can I use external DNS (openDNS/Google) with Reliance Netconnect Broadband+
Arun replied to vasa1's topic in Data services
You can also check your current DNS resolver IP using nslookup command. For example: C:\>nslookup rimweb.in Server: vnsc-bak.sys.gtei.net Address: 4.2.2.2 Non-authoritative answer: Name: rimweb.in Address: 174.37.199.170 Here 4.2.2.2 is the DNS resolver IP address. You can manually configure the DNS resolver IP address in your PC using these steps: https://www.opendns.com/start/computer/ -
Can I use external DNS (openDNS/Google) with Reliance Netconnect Broadband+
Arun replied to vasa1's topic in Data services
Here is a good explanation from Amit Agarwal on what using OpenDNS can do: http://www.labnol.org/internet/tools/opendsn-what-is-opendns-why-required-2/2587/ These are the main points: * OpenDNS servers store the IP addresses of millions of websites in their cache so it would take less time to resolve your requests * blocks phishing websites from loading on your computer * takes care of any typos that you commit while typing the name of popular websites. For instance, if you type www.gogle.com omitting the additional “o” by mistake, OpenDNS will open the main www.google.com site automatically -
