  1. Since the service is officially launched now and this topic has grown long, please continue discussions in the second part of the topic.
  2. Ebay.in Discount Coupon

Since the item is around Rs.3k only, the 15% coupon will give around Rs.500 only. A Rs.750/1000 maximum discount coupon is good only if you are going to buy a much more costlier item.
  3. well no joy, the limit is mentioned there: "Unlimited usage plans will have a fair usage policy of 10 GB/month. Beyond which the customer will be charged at Rs. 2/- per MB." on the page: http://www.rcom.co.in/Communications/rcom/...are_tariff.html
  4. The tariff page doesn't mention anything about Fair Usage Policy, looks like its truly unlimited itself
  5. I've heard reviews from many who are using it now and everyone said the speed was really great. The current commerical launch date is March 17, 2009 Its not yet clear whether it is truly unlimited or whether the Fair Usage Policy is enforced. http://offers.connectindia.in/reliance/tariff.jsp had removed the FUP condition as well earlier.
  6. Not able to connect - NETCONNECT error 678

<< post merged >> << Please do not double post >>
  7. Reliance is getting their stuff ready for the EVDO rollout: http://www.rimweb.in/forums/index.php?showtopic=18309 With such a large order they must be planning for a rollout in other cities/towns as well soon.
  8. Reliance Gsm Gprs Settings

What do you mean? GPRS settings are meant for GSM handsets, not CDMA handsets.
  9. There is no such exchange offer available for now.
  10. Reliance Gsm Gprs Settings

    Please check: http://www.rimweb.in/forums/index.php?showtopic=17427
  11. Just noticed that there is a No-Roaming plan (Sl.No.: 6) for Rs.1100 with the 10 GB limit. So one has to pay Rs.650 additional to get the "roaming" feature!
  12. screw it, damn 10 GB limit for "unlimited"
  13. GPRS/EDGE is a GSM technology. So CDMA phones doesn't support GPRS/EDGE. Maybe it used NetConnect earlier when it was working for you.
  14. That is why they have Freedom 650 and Freedom 850 plans for those who can't afford to pay Rs.1950
  15. BSNL EVDO datacard (without voice & restricted mobility) is Rs.550/mth for unlimited as against Rs.1750 for R-CDMA EVDO datacard (without voice & full mobility). So Reliance is Rs.1200 more but has full mobility. It would all depend on the stability of the connection. As someone mentioned above, BSNL's EVDO is joke, if Reliance's EVDO is stable then it can't be compared with BSNL EVDO. I hear from testing phase reviews that the connection was "very stable and good".
  16. how can anyone know that when the rules and regulations for MNP service is not yet announced? Rs.3500 is reasonable considering that it is a EVDO data card.
  17. If it is a stable service that can deliver standard EVDO speeds, then the unlimited plan is really sexy!!! me... it will be < Rs.2000 per month for unlimited So where's my money for winning the bet, Sadikk?
  18. Trouble Playing Ctracer

    1) support.datacard (at) relianceada.com 2) CC to corporatecentre.customercare (at) relianceada.com 3) CC to your nodal officer. Looks like you are from AP, so: Rcomnodalofficer.AP (at) relianceada.com Make sure that you quote the existing complaint numbers when you send the email and explain your issue clearly in the email.
  19. Trouble Playing Ctracer

As you can see in the trace route result there are several time outs. Send them (Reliance) with the trace route result and ask them for an explanation on why there are time outs in between.
  20. Who said Reliance NetConnect EVDO will be available on CDMA mobile? It will be available on data card only and voice calls will not be allowed on it.
  21. He is referring to the license... ISP license is different from Telecom license as it does not carry voice data.
  22. You won't get any confirmation anywhere since it is not announced officially yet. EVDO will have a separate USB modem (probably Huawei) and you cannot use the existing CDMA 1x USB modems. It is worth waiting for EVDO since the "wait" might be a short one for now.
  23. Blackberry With 802.11 Wlan

Is there any reason why you wouldn't choose a HTC? The HTC Mogul 6800 would have been great to use WiFi.
  24. Is Reliance Gsm Gprs Free In Delhi?

Its currently free not only in Delhi, but elsewhere also.
