Hi all, I have been a RIM postpaid user for long (6 years) and have a 6235 for about a year. Its just marvellous and i do not want to let go of it. But suddenly, I have to travel to some other country for a longterm . I wish to carry this mobile with me. Is it possible to deactivate the RIM account and enable the RUIM slot for use in the other country? Should I approach the Reliance webworld or nokia center for this? Please help me on this. another query...how to download smses stored in the phone to a PC? Nokia PC suite is not showing the messages folder for this handset. would any other download manager work?

For the last 5 days, i am getting this error when i try to access Reliance info home page. ANyon ehas any idea on this? buddy it plays 3gp video quite well and 3gpp2 format also, it does not support mp4. only advantage of 3gpp2 format is it adds sound as well i use ImTOO 3GP Video Converter for creating video clips it works quite well. if you need the serial pm me. i do not have any idea about double/triple sms es so

i got datacable with cd for Rs 125 at ebay and it works fine!!!

pals, any idea how to increase the no. of speed dials in a nokia phn? my last lg had 99 of them, and though i only used only 20 of them, 9 , which is the standard in nokia is a bit too much low. I am open to suggestions.

Hi guys, I am pretty satisfied with my nokia 6235. The camera is simply beautiful. however, I am puzzled by the zoom function. the zoom mode provides several markings , presumably for different settings of zoom. But the joystick moves the pointer only to the min and max points. Any idea how it can be set for the other points?

Forgive my ignorance, but can you tell me how to type letters on the screen unless it is in an message?

sent a mms from yahoo mail to my new nokia 6235 and got a sms with this link http://mms.relianceinfo.com/mms/do/LegacyLogin and a password. entered the site and saw the mms there even heard the ringtone. but wasn't it supposed to be saved in the handset? i was also facing the non availability of the mms portal but after this sms it got activated. to store the ringtones and then pictures in the handset

only a week with 6235, but still nothing to complain with voice quality. in fact i love it, its much better and more clear than lg 2130 which i had previously.

I asked on 26th feb before buying nokia 6235, for lg6230 the webworld asked for Rs.7632/-

Hi all, after a week of deliberations and of course grateful help from the members of this forum, I bought a new handset and it was the NK 6235. I got it for 8.1k at my hometown. I got it only on Sunday so cannot say much except that i have liked the set and its pretty decent. I wud like to know where i can get the data cable too. Another query, in my previous handset lg 2130 the call lists contained all the numbers clearly differentiated so that it could be understood which number has been called how many times and when. but here i am facing the peculiar situation where only the last dialled call of any number gets saved, while all other older calls to the same number gets deleted. Can anyone shed light on this? Waiting for your replies.

hi guys, I want to know if phone bk upload download is possible without going thru the rworld hassle. I mean maybe thru pc using data cables or something. And is it possible for 2130 , Imean uploading from it to a PC?

All members, I am the newest entrant to this forum. Actually i stumbled on it while googling. Now I had been hitting on buying an 6230 so as to upgrade from my extremely good but old 2130. Infact I was ready to buy it by end of next week. But going through this thread, i am not so sure now. Can anyone tell me which phone to buy so that i get features with minimum hassles. i mean if there is a camera, or mp3 player, then i should be able to trasnfer files pc 2 phone easily, and this format war[mjpeg] that you guys have mentioned has left me totally confused. I do not need a fm because i have a radio itself and it goes great when I am in cities that offer fm service. Other than that i wud like a colour screen and few features added on. Please guide me p.s. I had mailed the RSC guys, they said they are offering the miniSD card with the 6230. dunno though whether it was free or they wud charge something for it. A WW guy in my hometown is friendly with me, do you think it wud be gr8 if I took his ideas too? 1 thing I am sure of, I am with rim so please do not tell me to switch to GSM. well, found out this forum today and promptly joined it. Me a campus fresher in wipro technologies and addicted to rim for 3 years. I love reading books, playing computer games and spending time with friends. looks like it is a fruitful timee ahead [ ]
