hi basant _jp just wanted to know if you are able to receive ringtones and pics sent to your phone via email. I am not able to download the stuff that i send through outlook ...keep getting the error Message not found on MMSC server. Let me know if there are any setttings i need to play around with before sending the email to my phone. thanks

WHy is this not working for me....I receive the message saying MMS received after sending the email...however the message does not download. Keep getting the error " Message not Available on MMSC". Its driving me nuts. The dumb f*ck at reliance customer service sez....this phone does not have the facility to receive emails. Is he right... Any idea how much the data cable would set me back by...can i use it to transfer sound and image files. SOS...helpppp thank you

Hi GUyz, Dunno if this is the right thread or not...neways have this problem that needs a little sorting out. I juss purchased a brand new 6130 and have the problrm of receiving emails on it. I do receive the message asking me to connect and it goes up till the stage when its all ready to download the sound/image file. Thats when i get the message "Message not found on MMSC". Any idea why this is happening? Also what should be the resolutions of images send it to a LG 6130 via email. Any response would be appreciated.. Peace

Hi guyzzz.... i am a previous gTRAN owner who unfortunately (or fortunately ) lost his mobile. I am planning to go in for the LG RD 7230. Just need the answers to a few questions which i was not able to ascertain from the postings in the forum... - How is the battery life...realistically for a HEAVYWEIGHT talker - How many sms's can i store in the cell - Can i play MP3 files as ringtones? Voice tones are playable! right? - Can i transfer wallpapers into my phone from the pc sync s/w - Is the SMS bug actually fixed? or is it going to haunt me like Gtran - Is the camera (movie recorder) any good - i.e. does it compare to something like a NOKIA 6600 well these r the important ones i guess. Anyone aware of any nasty surprises then please let me know. However I feel the price tag of 9999 makes the phone quite a STEAL. I know these seem like a lot of questions. But i seem to have learnt from my previous gTRAN experience. Any response is appreciated....Please Help What really pisses me off is that the RELIANCE FOLKS don't let you take a live demo of the cell. It's just a dummy piece that they stick into your hands...i guess it would be better stuck up their a*ses thnx

Hi gyzz. An SOS. Please let me know where i can purchase a BODY for GTRAN. The body that came along with the phone has literally gone to th dogs . Anyone knows where i can get a new one. By body i mean express on cover. Any advice???

One thing i find really irritating about GTRANS phonebook is that you gotta enter the entire number ie with country and STD code for the name to pop up on the screen (in case of sms). Even while receiving a call if you happen to only enter the phone number without the STD code...no name display. Never had this problem in any of the phones i have used. Any way around this....

Beg to differ on this devil81. I have had absolutely no problem in connecting to the pc sync software. I dont think there has been a single instance where i have had to ctrl+alt+del. Maybe its the OS you are using. Or maybe your comp config???. Try re installing the sync software. Gtran may have flaws...but pc sync is its major plus point....

hi all, peculiar problem here. I am not able to open any mms received by me on my gTRAN. I am able to send though. Anyone facing this problm or am i the only one

I just have one question about the hands free of the gTRAN. Does the answer button on yours work...cause mine dosen't. Apart from that I think the handsfree although complicated like hell is decent enuf...if you don't mind keeping the phone really close to you. Clarity isn't all bad and you can be heard quite audibly to the other person as well.

I have a gtran and a wonderful large color display screen, which in normal circumstances would be a lot of fun to play games on. R_WORLD...free but no games for my GTRAN. The only thing displaying is cricket and new releases and the cricket link dosen't connect and the new releases ends up in tic tac toe...which if anyone was able to play deserves a large bouquet of flowers for patience. I know I am acting like a sour puss...but hey i could play more games on my b/w Nokia. anyone has any idea when can we expect a change in this scenario...

. I am on the DAPO (501) plan. Recently purchased a GTRAN and received a data cable along with it. I also have the software to connect to r-connect. Infact i juss need to plug in and surf! Well my question is do i have to pay any sortt of activation fee ! or maybe a membership fee. What is my per min or per hour charge. Basically i would like to know what extraa would be added to my bill...once i begin using r-connect. maybe this has been answered earlier..but i couldn't find anything in the forums....heeelp.

well gtran dosen't measure up to nokia...plain and simple...the message characters are just 140-180 not more maybe less....picture messages..ie with character graphics don't work on it...the dictionary is pretty okay...takes a little getting used to.. but apart from that gtran is possibly the only GOOD affordable phone in the indian cdma network and I think its a little unfair to compare it with GSM mobiles which have a wider and older market in india. for now gtran seems to be the best in the lot ( features and money wise )...when reliance decides to bring up a fully featured color display of Nokia, am sure there will be a mad rush for it...irrespective of the price... words of the wise : stretch your legs as far as the blanket can cover you.....or til you can buy a larger one...corny....so is the comparison with GSM phones....

well bored's brother.....to put your queries to rest....the GTRAN is nuthin compared to the convinience of a nokia phone...being an ex-nokia user my self i can tell you that. sending an sms takes ages compared to the quick fnctions on a nokia. there is the slight convinience of sending to ten people at a time...but then you gotta add the ten people...ie there is no pre-determined group you can send to. I would be highly surprised if blink sms works on the gtran. as far as ringtones go...why do u need someone to send you a tone.....either get one from r-world or simply download a midi file from ur comp (recommended). when all is said and done...when given the limited choice which reliance gives ya...the best choice is the GTRAN...light on the pocket (compared to others) and fully customizable....thats why it really ROCKZ...what say mitesh

hey saurav dude. go for it man...i don't suppose you can get a better deal...all ur criterias are met with GTRAN....best of all it is the cheapest, so that makes the decision much easier (it did for me). All u have to worry about is the battery life....which is scr*w-all. Hey but you get 2, yup 2 batteries, so that is pretty much taken care of.. word of the wise : don't go for the camera of gtran...waste of bread...

hey guyz....alll this talk about flipping the phone...has anyone noticed that the phone becomes quite shaky after some time. ie due to the regular flip movement the top flap gets a little shaky.....or is it just in my case....any comments????

got the phone....gotta agree with most of u when you say the phone absolutely rockzzzz...however the battery life really does ****...no matter, thats why the 2 batteries ...rite. Hey great review .....one q though ...could you tel me which site do u download ur midi files from....
