Don't worry.. this is a kinda virus that's what I was told from the customer care when I got it in my Nokia 6265. Just switch off the phone, remove your RIM once and then insert it again and switch on. That message will go off. Worked for me...

Does Anyone Know To Open Up Nokia 6265 To Replace The Slider Strip
mohu replied to sumatrix's topic in Nokia
Hi, Why don't you visit a Nokia care center for it? I have replaced my Nokia 6265's slider strip in one of the Nokia care center in Trichy (TamilNadu) which I was just charged around 600 - 800 Rs. Then I have got replaced my camera also. But, If you are in Bangalore, you need to visit the Malleshwaram branch only. There the service is very poor, coz, in entire Bangalore, CDMA service is being done only in Malleshwaram branch. Please be careful, coz, when I went for my above mentioned problem, they told initially that it has to be sent to Chennai, which will take around 10 days time after that, they told me that repairing the same will cost 70% of the mobile cost!!! which is a worst answer I ever get from. -

Hi Amit, Instead of trying out 309, pls check 569 in Samsung / Nokia 6275. But, I got a good review about 569 from one of my friend, but I have not used / checked it. Am using 6265 for the past 4 years...If needed, you can check yourself in the link, but review you have to get it from other members as well. http://www.rcom.co.in/webapp/Communications/Handset/mobile.jsp Regards, Mohu

I have tried using the TATA's Indicom SIM card (CDMA) in my 6265 without any further changes.. it went fine. You can try with that, but I didnt had time to check the R-World like in TATA's.

Nokia To Sell Cdma Phones To Fewer Carriers, Verizon And China Mobile Included
mohu replied to ravi_patent's topic in Nokia
But one more thing... This CDMA Carriers in India Reliance and TATA are slowly and gradually migrating to GSM services, I think, Nokia is going to sell its remaining CDMA handsets and wind up their CDMA Handset business in India. But, after their settlement with Qualcomm, we may not sure, what is going to happen to the CDMA Handsets from Nokia. Now itself, I can say, apart from Nokia, very few handsets are reliable and good like Motorola and Blackberry. http://in.reuters.com/article/technologyNe...-38059520090217 Even now, from Nokia, I can say the top end mobile available is Nokia 6265 --Mohu -
I think there is a problem in your phone software. Please get it reinstalled to your mobile by going to your nearest Nokia care center. Else you can try one more option. Please change the file name as 3g2 instead of 3gp ie., filename.3g2 instead of filename.3gp and they try playing videos again. Also, probably if you have any doubt in Nokia PC Suite, please download youtube downloader from google and then try converting your videos with youtube downloader and play it in your mobile. Note that, you must set appropriate video options before converting, as setting higher resolution for conversion also causes this problem. --Mohu

Better to wait for sometime, since Reliance has rolled out GSM Services, the marketing people are trying to sell off existing CDMA handsets both high end and low end ASAP. If they are going to roll out 3G services along with Mobile number portability, it will be better to switch to GSM services since GSM services and future of 3G Services are good. --Mohu

Even I had a very bad experience in Malleshwaram Branch of Nokia Care (Huh.. there is only one service center for CDMA handsets in Bangalore as far, all the other Nokia care ppl informed). The most irritating part was, I went for my camera problem, they told that it is a problem in Motherboard!!! I need to replace my mother board, later they told it will cost me 70% of the mobile where I am using Nokia 6265 16000Rs. It was a horrible experience. The manager and the supervisor both started treating me like an illetrate. The same dialog they have used with other guys too. I was even ready to pay for the defect if any. But, they told it is irrepairable and to repair it, it will cost 70% of my mobile cost. I felt very anguish, went to my place (Trichy) and given for servicing there. They behaved very nicely, told that the phone connector strip (which is in between the movable slider) is damaged and the camera is also, gone, which they can replace if I am ready to pay them. I have paid 1350 Rs. for that and job is done. I have mailed Nokia care and decided not to visit Nokia Care in Bangalore anymore and the reply asusual, they will inform and take care of such probs if any not to take place again in future. Also, I will definitely switch to a better phone like HTC / Blackberry sooner or later, since such high end phones in CDMA market is very less. Enough of probs with Nokia --Mohu

Nokia 6275 Driver / Sw Require To Connect To Internet From Pc.
mohu replied to jatin_the_great2003's topic in Nokia
Hi, Since you already have your USB Data cable, you might need its supporting driver softwares, which you can get it bundled along with the Nokia PC Suite software. You can download the same from http://www.nokia.co.in/link?cid=PLAIN_TEXT_406679 After installing that you can connect to internet by creating a new network connection in your pc with your mobile number (without '0' prefixed) as both your username and password. The phone number you want to connect should be "#777". Please note that the # symbol should also be a part of your connect to number. Once authenticated, you will be able to connect to internet. Also, there is a software called 'Net booster' which will boost up your internet connection speed from the below location: http://searchportal.information.com/?epl=0...ster%20Download -
Hi, Here, Nokia 6265 is a better choice according to me. I am using 6265 from the day it has been released. It is doing well and for almost 3 years I am using 6265. But, better compare 6275 and 6265 and then purchase. Coz, I didnt liked the conventional model coz of which I went for sliding type. But yes, may be after 2 yrs, you might have to change the powerstrip which is around 1000 Rs. But rest are very gud. But, so far the price of 6265 has not reduced from 16K (I think still it is 16K). If you are concerned about pricing, you can go for 6275. Both of them has similar facilities. but, slider on - 6265 is a bit trendy and bulky. Battery backup is very good in 6265. Memory card, from specifications, u can put upto 1GB. But, it is supporting upto 2GB, which I am using for the past 3 years. Also, unlike other GSM counterparts and other CDMA models, if memory goes near to its limit, this mobile didnt showed any slowdown in operation. Other model I am sure that if we put a memory card of 1GB and if the data nears 900MB, mobile will start slowing down. But that is not the case with 6265. I donno abt 6275.

Hey buddy... Nokia is always on the higher priced models..and the cheapest one starts from above 3500. U can refer the reliance site: http://www.rcom.co.in/webapp/Communication...s_nokia2255.jsp which is the basic model of Nokia for reliance generally available for Reliance connections. If you are ready to spend more than 5000, you can get better models.

Hey buddy, There is nothing like you have to wait or costliest. I donno which webworld you have visited or that RIM Webworld persons might not be having the SIM. So far I know, you have to just getta handset change card and transfer your number from your old mobile to the new one. Within 2 - 5 hrs your number will get changed automatically. Thats how I did. But, yes you have to get a new SIM from Reliance. If not with that webworld try to visit some other webworld and get a new sim for your 6265. But 2 yrs back, it cost me 200 as you said. By now, I donno how much it is. --Mohu

are u able to format or write on memory card through a pc or laptop ?? Which memory card are you using and its size. Coz with Kingston Mem card, 1GB I faced the similar problem so now changed to 2GB Kingston. I am using the mem card reader since Nokia 6265 supports only till 1GB but can use it till 2GB card. That 1GB card was useless then. Now, I can read / write to mem card (2GB Kingston) via bluetooth / infrared but not thru datacable instead I am using mem card reader. --Mohu

ya i m trying to connect it to a laptop which is usb2.0 complient. When i connect through a data cable i get a msg on handset 'Connect via data storage mode ?' & when i press yes then it says ' Data storage mode disabled'. Please specify the memory card size whether it is an 1GB card / 2 GB card / ??? Coz 2GB thru data cable, you wont be able to connect but you can use that card in your mobile. Upto 1GB card, you will be able to connect. Also, you press 'no' / 'back' / 'exit' in data storage mode coz data storage mode treats mobile as an another disk drive. From PC Suite --> Manage Connection --> Connect your mobile

Hi Anurag, I donno which version of USB you are using coz even with my mobile also, I was not able to connect to my PC. But, it is not a problem with the phone. There are two types of USB ports available one is which an older one where this Nokia model will not get detected and another one is USB 2.0 where it supports high speed data transfer and auto detects the devices connected. Try connecting your mobile to a laptop / some other new system and then check whether you are not able to connect. If you not able to connect in any machine, then it might be your phone's problem.

Hi Raju, There is a site, where you can get the files converted freely and downloaded: http://www.all2convert.com/index.html If you want to convert any you tube videos, you can simply give the url of the video which the site will access, convert and give you as a download in 3GP format. If you want to convert your own AVI videos, you can upload and get it converted to 3GP format. If you specifically need a converter, then you can try the "Mobile 3GP converter" please check in google for its site, I forgot it. Cheers!!! Mohu

Hi, Even I am using Nokia - 6265, but so far I have not got the problem yet. It seems like your set has some problem. Better please consult the Nokia care centre for the same. Previously, I had a problem with Kingston 1GB card. I replaced the same with 2GB Kingston Mini SD card (Usually only 1GB will be supported), with which it is working well so far. I am using that from the past 6 months without any problem. Cheers!!! Mohu
