  2. Hi, I was just disposing off a myway IPTV settop box I was using and recalled about this thread. I switched to Tata Sky and the box has been lying around. It worked pretty flawlessly on my BSNL broadband. The calrity is good enough for any SD tv. Here`s the link - http://www.myway.in/about_myway.html . It worked pretty well in Ahmedabad, not sure about the service availability across different cities though.     I tried the windsurfer...with the cardboard and the foil..but did not seem very effective. But I guess a can which would have more density may give some minor improvement.

  10. Hi, I was hoping someone could offer some cost-effective solution to increasing my wifi range. I have a bsnl ITI DNA A211I, which has a not too bad. Just like on most wifi routers, it gives me a few dead zones in the house, especially the obstructed ones (although not very far away ). I was thinking I could do one of the below- 1)get a more powerful new wifi router and place it at the same location along with my bsnl router 2)get a wireless repeater and place it at the brink of my deadzone 2) looks like a better option to me but I have not been able to find a cheaper alternative. It would be great if I could get some recommendations on the best device here. Thanks, Parth

    Great..I was also consider the dd-wrt option...would you recomend asus520gu over the WRT54g..I see there is an advantage of the USB port here and with a flashed firmware, it can be exploited for some wider use

  16. Need help from all the BB experts.. I have a 8830, which I have used on Vodafone GSM only. I had the BIS (299/-) plan activated on the phone, which was working quite nicely till recently. I switched my sim and used another GSM (Idea)on the handset for a few min. No data/registration was done while on Idea. I had used my vodafone sim on a non-bb phone. Ever since I put my vodafone sim back, my Host routing table is null. I have tried the "register now" button almost a thousand times, done the soft reset and the hard reset as well. I have tried wiping the handset and spoken to the vodafone cc who took the pin, sim card info,etc. The vodafone guys even gave me a new sim. But the HRT or BIS services seems no sign of coming back to my handset ... Need some gyaan here !!! Plz help !!
  17. We have been using a IFB dishwasher in ahmedabad since the past 6-8 months. IFB is unodubtedly the best from the options that we have. You can order the dishwasher online from the IFB site itself. The time we purchased, the online purchase turned out to be the best deal. The results have been amazing. Yes, the cost of the consumables (salt and soap) are a little expensive, but it is worth it on seeing the results. Water consumption is also pretty less. My mom is now free from the tension of the maid arriving on time

    I was already on 4.5 when the service was active.....and i did the contrary in an effort to solved the problem..updated the os and it downloaded some new patch....should i try wiping it off and getting 4.2 ?

    Hey..I have a suggestion for the speaker thing..Someone gifted me this, which was purchased from mumbai, but I am pretty sure it would be available at rest of the places. The box in which it came had this text "Colour Flash Mini Speaker" MD-96 It has an inbuilt chargeable battery ( with the typical nokia (both old and new) charging inlets), FM , USB, MMC. It has a 3.5mm audio in for external devices as well.The sound quality is also pretty good. The best part is it is quite mobile and can be easily carried.   25. Hi, i am not sure if this discussion is already done before. I am planning to import an iphone 3gs from US and get it unlocked here. I had something to clarify. The 3G features should work fine with the unlocked phone right ? And will I be able to update my iphone, or it becomes a brick if I do so. Some details on that please. Thanks.
