I use a LG RD 2230 handset. I recently got a data cable for the same & after great effort managed to install the driver for the cable & the modem (downloaded from Reliance info website) on my pc.
Thereafter, whenever I dial up using my RIM number as username & password the PC connects with the phone which shows PPP - Data, & then sending & receiving progress bars. After that i get the error 0691 : Access denied because the username and/or password is invalid on the domain.
I tried activation by dialling *421 but i get a long engagaed tone.
I tried calling up their customer care but was frustrated as hell......they put u on hold indefinitely & ask u if u prefixed zer before the RIM no.
the moment u say u hav not, they put u on hold again & then come up with an excuse that their system is slow right now.....then after an eternity they tell u that their system is being upgraded, kindly call after half an hour....
Its nothing but a sham.....those ppl in their call centres are being paid to lie, blatantly & u cant do anything abt it !!
Cud anyone help me out??
