Hi, I will really appreciate it if any of you could tell me what are the actual internet usage charges on R-Connect if I use FWP with Plan 500. Reliance website http://www.relianceinfo.com/Infocomm/html/...riff_plans.html only gives rates for Plan 1000 and doesn't even say apply same for Plan 500 or anything. How's the rate calculated? By my duration online? Or is it charged only when the connection is active. Your answers will be very much appreciated. Thank you.

Well, that's cool. Thanks Mahidhar

Okay, thanks guys The rates using Rs. 1.10 work out to be Rs. 28 at peak hours and Rs.12.6 at half-hours By the way didn't Reliance increase the night-time pulse duration to 600 seconds from the earlier one of 360 seconds?

What are you guys talking about. Doesn't R-Connect cost Rs 26/Hr on a FWP/FWT as per http://www.relianceinfo.com/Infocomm/html/...riff_plans.html? Also when did they increase the Off-Peak Call Unit Length to 600 seconds from 360 seconds ?!

Hi, I have the LG Fixed Wireless Phone LSP-340E from Reliance and a serial cable for it. I already use it to access the net under Windows 98 SE, where it is configured at port COM1. Inorder to access the internet under SuSe 9.0 Live Eval (boots off a CD like Knoppix) I downloaded the Rconnect software version 1.0 rconnect1.0.tar from http://www.relianceinfo.com/Infocomm/tar/r...cmdline-1.0.tar Then I duly followed all the steps given in the User Guide to install it at http://www.relianceinfo.com/Infocomm/html/..._userguide.html However when it tried to detect the modem at COM1 which I had specified, it went into an infinite loop and all I got was this message periodically after every 5 seconds until I pressed Ctrl+Break to return to the prompt-: wc:/var/log/messages:File or directory not found. tail:/var/log/messages:File or directory not found. tail:/var/log/messages:File or directory not found. tail:/var/log/messages:File or directory not found. tail:/var/log/messages:File or directory not found. The User Guide says that any problems faced should be looked up in /var/log/messages. But this file doesn't seem to be getting created at all in my case! Can someone guide me please? Thanks.

Hi, It's me , the question asker. So, did any of you guys ever had any problem while running the install.sh script, that's what I would like to know. Is the script flawless I was also never asked by install.sh whether I had USB or Serial cable. It however somehow gave me COM1 and COM2 to choose from only, later on.
