Instead of the Rs.5 per MB plan use the new Rs.5 for 1.38 hours per day plan: If you have higher usage you might want to have to switch to postpaid.

Will Samsung Galaxy S2 (GSM) Purchased From US Work In India ?
Nirvana replied to deepakmnvl's topic in Other handsets
It says "Unlocked", so should work. HSDPA seems to be 850 / 900 / 1900 / 2100 Mhz as per http://www.gsmarena.com/samsung_i9100_galaxy_s_2-3621.php - so yes, 3G should work as well. -

Changing ESN of a handset is illegal. So the answer to your question would be, no it isn't possible to legally change ESN. -
Reliance CDMA EVDO Activation Request Here For Aam Admi
Nirvana replied to @mitJ@in's topic in Data services
No, read the last part of the first topic. You have to wait for this service to resume. -
The invitation request can be sent using the "loophole" by an existing member only. That is what "phonegeek" has been doing already. There is no official way of sending invitation requests from an existing member.

Need Suggestion For Best Wireless Broadband Data Card
Nirvana replied to enjoylifewithsms's topic in Other Broadband Discussion
Are you going to use it at a particular place (like your home) or when traveling around? If you are going to have most usage at a particular plan then check for the signal coverage at that place. The signal will have a good effect on the speed that you will get. So which operator has the best signal in your place is the best one for you. -
[Need Suggestions ] Reliance Data Card Giving Very Low Speeds
Nirvana replied to joshm's topic in Data services
Unlimited for Rs.750 per month? There is no such plan for Netconnect+. You seem to be on a 1x plan and not Netconnect+ (HSD/EVDO) plan. If you are getting .11 mbps for then it is normal speed for 1x. You either have the 1x plan (more likely as per the tariff you mentioned) or your area does not have EVDO coverage. -
I know there is a new beast launching this month end and I am sure many have pre-booked it as well and waiting for it. Within a month we should be able to see the new beasts here. So call it the lull before the storm Its just a matter of who gets it first

There are some people who are happy as well? Anyway you need to get it from any seller in the buy/sell forum.

Obviously! AirTel GRPS supports simultaneous traffic, not all GPRS providers have that feature.

He meant "3G GSM" (after porting to a GSM provider with same number and a GSM handset ofcourse) So basically there is no solution to receive voice calls on a CDMA handset when using 1x data as it is a technology limitation.

Nirvana replied to Arun's topic in Mobile Number Portability (MNP)
well it may not look good to wait again for 25 more days but TRAI's tagline is: better late than never and you have waited for 3 years after all, so why not 25 more days -

Bring into light those members who are doing that without sharing and have them banned right away. Reveal the names that you came across in the complaints you heard. -
This is from a email forward, so I don't know whether it is a hoax or whether it has any truth: Would you like to know if your mobile is original or not ????? Yes, the IMEI (International Mobile Equipment Identity) number of your mobile can reveal a lot of thing about your mobile phone. Before proceeding further I must tell you something about IMEI. Well …….The International Mobile Equipment Identity or IMEI is a 15 digit number unique to every GSM and UMTS mobile phone. It is usually found printed on the phone underneath the battery and can also be found by dialing the sequence *#06# into the phone. The IMEI number is used by the GSM network to identify valid devices and therefore can be used to stop a stolen phone from accessing the network. For example, if a mobile phone is stolen, the owner can call his or her network provider and instruct them to “ban” the phone using its IMEI number. This renders the phone useless, regardless of whether the phone’s SIM is changed. So now you are ready to check the quality of your mobile: Press the following on your mobile *#06# ( another way is to find it by removing the battery) and the International Mobile Equipment Identity number appears. Then check the 7th and 8th numbers: 1 2 3 4 5 6 7 th 8 th 9 10 11 12 13 14 15 Phone serial no. x x x x x x ? ? x x x x x x x If the Seventh & Eighth digits are 1 , 3 this means your cell phone was assembled in Azerbaijan which is very Bad quality and also dangerous for your health. If the Seventh & Eighth digits are 0 , 2 or 2 , 0 this means your cell phone was assembled in Emirates which is very Bad quality. If the Seventh & Eighth digits are 0 , 8 or 8 , 0 this means your cell phone was manufactured in Germany which is fair quality. If the Seventh & Eighth digits are 0, 1 or 1, 0 this means your cell phone was manufactured in Finland which is very Good. If the Seventh & Eighth digits are 0 , 0 this means your cell phone was manufactured in original factory (not outsourced to a vendor) which is the best Mobile Quality.
